Resumen
This article was developed from the report presented to the Scientific Initiation Program 2016/2017, presenting as an object the rituals and festivities considered traditional among the Terena of Mato Grosso do Sul, considering that they constitute a fertile field for the problematization of notions of tradition and culture, widely used in the discourse of defense of indigenous rights. The hypothesis is that it is through the process of cultural resignification that contemporary indigenous peoples update and seek to legitimize their form of action within the national society. In a troubled scenario of interethnic relations and struggles for land, the Terena exhibit ritualistic and festive performances evoked as tradition and a sign of their Indianness. Based on these assumptions, we sought to discuss this dimension of the group's history, dialoguing with the new meanings attributed to cultural activities considered traditional, through the study of ethnographic literature. It presents as a theoretical and methodological orientation the approach of the new Indigenous History, placing the indigenous people as protagonists of their own history. It is concluded that the Terena resignify their shamanic dance and performances in their struggles to defend their rights, especially those referring to their territories, still in dispute. In public demonstrations they display their war ornaments and the prayers of their shamans, in a movement to update their cultural guidelines.

Resumen
The main theme of this paper is the work developed by indigenous researchers from Mato Grosso do Sul, inserted in different graduate programs of Brazilian universities. This is an early stage research that is under development, with the objective of identifying and analyzing the academic productions carried out by indigenous researchers from Mato Grosso do Sul. From this perspective, cultural studies were selected as a theoretical field to understand the different actions developed by indigenous peoples marked by difference and alterity, thus enabling the deconstruction of colonial discourses that make indigenous peoples the target of stereotypes, as if there were, in fact, societies with superior knowledge. Therefore, the information presented here is of an initial nature, whose main objective is to share knowledge on the topic.

Resumen
Adult life has changed a lot in modern western societies. In this perspective, this article aims to understand how the construction and representation of motherhood are descontructed in adolescence. We observerd that despite the “hemonic” thinking, error or problem translated by the media, health programs and the contemporary world, people resist and rewrite new judgments of values.

Resumen
This article analyzes the construction of the travesti body in the novel A inevitável história de Letícia Diniz (2006), by the Rio de Janeiro writer Marcelo Pedreira. Through concepts from queer approaches and contemporary literary theories, it focuses on how the novel articulates narration as a constitutive aspect of travesti identity, and also highlights problems (historical, social and cultural) around the cis-heteronormative look at travesti corporealities in Brazilian literature.

Resumen
In this article we operate a film analysis of the Brazilian feature film “Ventos de Agosto” – “August Winds” (2014), by director Gabriel Mascaro, in which it is possible to observe the dimension of death as a dialogical issue of the film, allowing us to treat, from the presence of the dead body, the social uses of the body. Thus, although its power is the aesthetic dimension, the film narrative allows us to reflect, anthropologically, on the body institutionalized by the provisions of Law and Medicine, making explicit the governance of bodies (alive and dead) for their political uses.

Resumen
The objective of this article is to carry out a brief bibliographic review on Body Studies in History, proposing a reflection on the historiography of the body and its consequences in the studies of gender and sexualities. I cover various discourses already produced about the body and its senses in different historical periods, demonstrating a possibility of bringing historiography and Body Studies closer together, in addition to making some considerations about methodological work with sources and documents for the body.

The History of Health and Disease research into, among other topics, the power relations established between the political system and health institutions in various areas, and it has drawn the attention of historians in recent years. In this debate, the study of political and social relations that forged patterns of behavior, such as those that occurred in the first decades of the twentieth century. Inspired by European eugenics, the medical community has developed a public health project in Brazil to justify and legitimize the disciplining of individuals, culminating in different processes of social exclusion. For this propose, several mechanisms were adopted so that socially “undesirable” behaviors were represented by a pathology discourse about the difference. At the beginning of this century, traces of this mentality remain and can be noticed by the recent debate about the compulsory hospitalization of illicit drug users, neglect of women's health or even about the actual effectiveness of vaccines. In a serious moment, when institutions, the production of scientific knowledge (including medical knowledge) and democracy have been severely tested, we invite fellow researchers to discuss issues and approaches related to public health, its historical agents and possible developments.

Resumen
This article seeks to analyze, in different narratives about D. Pedro II, at the present time, how mythical and heroic he is by them. It does so from theoretical and historiographic readings that show the construction of heroes as a strategy and function of / in the history of Brazil. There is a perpetuation of narratives about the Emperor, sometimes removed from his historical environment, and transformed into an exemplar for the present. In this way, these narratives about the monarch build him from mythical and / or heroic figures.
