This research aims to analyze, through the transit between design, art and technology, the importance of image analysis and transdisciplinary training for understanding the relevance of images in the context of contemporary design and its impact on people’s mental health. As cases of study, perfumes campaigns will be analyzed due to the fact that they run for longer and because of a transdisciplinary transit to position themselves efficiently. Therefore, the methodology chosen for image analysis is the Triangular Approach proposed by Ana Mae Barbosa (1998) and Cultural Studies proposed by Brea (2005) and Efland (2003). Finally, the research highlights the need for image analysis, for transdisciplinary formation that assimilates the contributions of different areas such as decolonial research, the black and feminist movement so that images are conceived with more responsibility and respect, aware of their impact in the formation of imaginary and in people’s mental health.

To play is often known as a voluntary process in a temporary sphere witha unique disposition. In contemporaneity, games are a promising field for appli-cation and study, since they are sociocultural products with great impacts on theeconomy and in technology. Throughout the history of the development of thismedium, several design models have been disseminated through the literaturefor the development of digital games. Therefore, this study presents the themethrough literature review and comparative method to describe different designapproaches and frameworks, in order to highlight the similarities and differenc-es between the stages of the game development process. The results expose thecontribution by reflecting on the comparative analysis of different game designframeworks and highlight the most frequent incidences and gaps found.

This article proposes a reflection based on considerations about jewelry design and the use of the term design in jewelry with different meanings and different understandings in the process of creation and production of jewelry, until its insertion in the field of Design. It intends to show how the adoption in Portuguese of this term from the English language, with translations of wide connotations, has allowed an overlap of activities distinctly related to jewellery as to draw creatively, jewellery manufacture, or even to design under the industrial production perspective, using Design methods in the creation and development of artefacts, either for a single piece or for a collection for companies. Here, the matter is about understanding, in order to create parameters for the practice of the jewellery designer profession in the jewellery sector, both in the segment of precious materials and in the industrial production of gold plated and costume jewels.

The configuration of information is a fundamental element in the design work, however, the recognition and conscious use of images in this process, in relation to their typologies, is still a topic that has not been mentioned in the literature. This article presents a discussion regarding the concepts of archetype, archetypal image and stereotype, in the information design context, in order to assist in the identification and analysis of archetypal images that are used in graphic design artifacts, such as book covers, movie posters and music album covers. Based on an analytical and exploratory approach, with the aid of a bibliographic instrument, asa result an analytical framework of concepts used for categorizing images that can contribute to the design process is proposed.

Compiling and reviewing the findings of the research of the same name, this article is founded from three pillars: in the first, a freely inspired by interface archeology exercise, with a focus on customization in the history of personal computing. We investigate how customization options are consolidated in desktop operating systems for Macintosh. The second pillar is dedicated to the definition and exploration of the figure of the hacker, his appearance, performance, groups, ethics and classes. Finally, we explore the techniques of jailbreak, where hackers apply techniques and tools that seek to modify the structure of the iOS operating system and the interface customizations unlocked by the practice.

The article presents the process report of the Corpecendo Project, focusing on design representation tools and ways of interpreting and giving visibility to the practice of dressing. It starts from the concept of “inscription” (Latour, 2001) and “process documents” (Salles, 2011), to propose a poetic approach to the design practice and to seek approximations between the processes and materialities of the investigative practices of art and design. It invests in aesthetic experiments, linked to body art and artisanal practice, to approach dressing through the bias of investigative strategies mediated by body dynamics and artifact creation.

This paper discusses photography and its relations with design, art and technology. It presents experimental essays developed at the Fine Arts School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Through an exploratory approach, the images resulting from this experience bring the relationships between theory and practice closer together. Thus, they reveal a world of transformation, things, places, bodies and singularities.

In 2020, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the birth of the Design field at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM). Created in 1990, the Fashion Course was the second of its kind in the country and since then has had a successful trajectory. In that same decade, the Digital Design Course (formerly known as Artistic Education with an emphasis on Multimedia) emerges and, shortly after, the Graphic Design course opens. In 2003, the Game Design Course was launched, which, like Digital Design, was a pioneer in the country and one of the first worldwide. In 2006, the Superior Course in Technology in Animation (current bachelor in Animation Design) was created and was the second in the field in Brazil. [...]

When we refer to an extraordinary professional, among his skills it is common to mention his talent and dedication. I believe, however, that we must add to these elements, obviously related to a successful career, another of equal importance. It is possible that in times of hyperindividualism and focus on personal achievements, we are failing to observe how important, in the academic path of each one, is the positive motivation that comes from living among our professors and colleagues.
