The relationship between education and income, established by the human capital theory, proposes to treat education as one of the main determinants of the individuals´ level of income. However, although the theory confirms that education offers an advantage to obtain higher incomes, starting from the 21st century, hypotheses that indicate diminishing returns in education have been discussed. Under this context, the objective of the present study is to analyze the empirical relationship between the salaried people income and education levels, as well as the evolution of the educational return for the period 2007-2017 in Ecuador. For its demonstration, cross-sectional models were used for each year, using data from the national employment, unemployment and underemployment survey (ENEMDU) based on the Mincer equation, estimated using the sample design application. In this scenario, the results confirm the advantage that education offers in obtaining income, however, it is concluded that this advantage presents a decreasing behavior.

This article systematizes the work developed by solidarity economy networks. The main objective is to analyze the operating processes of Entagistics Network of Íntag, its political, socio-economic and cultural relations. It is a qualitative research, ethnographic method, where it was sought to demonstrate the operation, management, organization of the analyzed network and its contribution to territorial development. The main findings indicate that the Network is due to community work focused on ecological tourism in the sector, but it is reinforced by other economic activities, such as food and lodging, and that, in some cases, these have been developed under the gender approach, which supports the socio-economic development of the participating women. However, open pit mining and large-scale hydroelectric projects in the area of influence have been constituted as a real threat to the Network growth since these activities have consequences on tourism and complementary activities.

Credit, in Latin American countries, is used as a financing mechanism for new ventures, companies and industries, allowing the development of productive chains in the economy. At the same time, Latin American region has been characterized by maintaining a concentrated production in certain economic sectors. Therefore, this research aims to determine the relationship between productive concentration –measured through the Herfindahl-Hirschman index– and the acceleration of credit offer in Latin America. In order to achieve this goal, an econometric model of panel data was used for fifteen representative economies in the region, in the period 2004-2016. The main results of this research indicate that the productive concentration of Latin American economies slows the credit offer in this region.

The cooperative sector, also known as the Popular and Solidarity Economy has presented sustained growth and strengthening over the last decades, thus to measure customer loyalty as a measure of control and mitigation of possible defections of clients is needed, and also to determine the influence of labor in the consolidation of loyalty in the associates. In this work, customer loyalty was measured in Ciudad de Quito Savings and Credit Cooperative, which is an institutional cooperative linked to the United States government. The database consists of 465 observations and the econometric model used was the Logit. The main results showed that the variable with the greatest influence on customer loyalty is seniority, followed by the total amount of savings and credits. Variables that generate a decrease in the level of loyalty were also determined, such as the age of the associates and the number of credits that the associates maintain in the entity.

The administrative model, for management in inventory control designed and applied in a productive company, in order to potentiate its development using the dynamics of systems methodology, facilitates to visualize possible results according to the applied strategies. The article aims to apply, depending on the specific needs of the study case, specific variables for the inventory process. For this purposes, system dynamics were used in inventory management, using 56 inputs that are part of the inventory and 18 variables. The main results aim to a higher production than the inventory level, whose adjustment to reach the optimum level implies the purchase of 2,500 units, causing the rising of total cost. The proposed model will allow to generate further studies based on the inventory management of the company since it is possible to analyze the dynamic behavior of this system, incorporating variables that strengthen business operations.
