In order to determine cervical pathologies in women attending in the San Francisco type I urban ambulatory. It has been made a descriptive cross-sectional investigation, with a non-probabilistic, accidental, sample consisting of 100 women who underwent vaginal cytology whose analysis was through the Bethesda system. Using a questionnaire-type instrument with closed questions was used with which the gynecological-obstetric history was investigated. The data obtained were processed with the Excel program 2010 and later they were represented in tables through descriptive statistics such as absolute numbers and percentages. Of the total of processed samples, 77% were obtained with cervical pathologies, reporting 61.03% with reactive changes; 46.75% with inflammatory type alteration and 29.87% abnormal epithelial cells. When analyzing gynecological-obstetric history it can be seen that 61.03% are represented by age; 59.74% multiple gestations; 57.14% multiple sexual partners throughout their lives; 9.09% early sexarchy and 3.89% promiscuous. On the other hand, of the patients who present abnormal epithelial changes according to Bethesda, it is reported that 60.87% report low grade LIE; 30.43% present ASCUS and 8.70% high grade LIE. Finally, with this study, the aim was to recognize and provide accurate information and statistical data to the San Francisco type I urban ambulatory, to promote prevention and avoid the progression of these pathologies, helping to reduce morbidity and mortality from this cause.

Various studies in recent years links the ABO and Rh blood systems with different diseases such as ovarian or breast cancer, peptic ulcer, and even multiple sclerosis; however, when associated with transfusion-transmitted infections (TTI), controversy persists between their possible biological relationship. The early recognition of some biological or immunological phenotype prone to some TTIs, could be useful to help quickly identify patients at risk of suffering them. For this reason, the present research was aimed at determining the distribution of TTI and their specific association with ABO and Rh blood groups in blood donors who attended the Dr. Egidio Montesinos Hospital in the city El Tocuyo from Lara state, during the period 2010 to 2019. For this, 8362 blood samples were analyzed by the hemagglutination tube technique with monospecific sera to determine the ABO and Rh groups, as well as the seven TTI mandatory biomarkers performed in a venezuelan blood bank through the ELISA test of different biotech companies. It was found that the type O blood group was the most numerous as was the phenotype positive for the Rh blood system, a prevalence of 7 % was observed for any biological marker, with the indicator of hepatitis B being the most observed. The results show that TTI are commonly evidenced in the Rh-positive blood and with the blood group O. When researching the association between these uninominal variables with the Chi square test, it was found that there is a statistically significant association between the anti-HBc biomarker with both group O and the Rh-positive group, so it is concluded that the donors of the above-mentioned groups are likely to express hepatitis B.

The increase of reactive oxygen species is generated when oxidative conditions occur, as in obesity and lead to chronic diseases such as high blood pressure. Oxidative stress has been reported as a trigger and result of high blood pressure, which affects cardiovascular health. The objective of the present study was to determine oxidative stress and its association with Cardiovascular Risk Factors (CVRF) in overweight and obese adolescents, for this clinical and paraclinical parameters were determined, and cardiovascular risk factors were evaluated, such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, overweight and markers of oxidative stress. The sampling was non-probabilistic and consisted of 34 adolescents, with ages between 13 and 19 years, which were grouped according to the value of Body Mass Index (BMI) in normal (BMI between 18.5 and 24.9) with 10 patient and overweight/obesity (BMI greater than 25). The data were analyzed with the statistical package SPSS version 19, the averages ± the standard deviation is presented, additionally a multiple linear regression model was applied for each of the dependent variables used to determine the oxidative stress, statistical significance was accepted before values of p≤0.05. In the adolescents studied, no association was found between the cardiovascular family history and the evaluated variables, in addition, greater oxidative stress was observed in overweight/obese patients, statistically significant and association with BMI, urea and total cholesterol. In conclusion, there is an association between oxidative stress and CVRF in adolescents with a BMI greater than 25.

The presence and proliferation of fungi in the hospital environment can represent a risk factor for the health of patients and their families, since they can cause nosocomial infections. The objective of this study was to identify the different filamentous fungi present in the areas: adult emergency, pediatric emergency, Intensive Care Unit and operating room of the “Antonio Patricio de Alcalá” University Hospital in the city of Cumaná, Sucre state in Venezuela. The study was descriptive, cross-sectional and non-experimental. The count of the colony-forming units per plate of the filamentous fungi was performed in Petri dishes with potato dextrose agar, exposed in the spaces mentioned. Subsequently, the fungal colonies present were isolated and identified. Significant differences were observed in the counts obtained from the different studied sites (p <0.05), adult and pediatric emergency presented the highest counts, followed by the Intensive Care Unit and the Operating Room. No significant differences were observed between the sampling months (p> 0.05). The fungal genera that were isolated in the highest proportion were: Aspergillus (36.3%), Penicillium (28.2%), Fusarium (12.7%) and Cladosporium (9.1%). The most frequently isolated species were: A. niger (14.2%), P. citrinum (12.7%), F. poae (12.7%) and C. herbarum (9.1%). The results obtained showed that several of the fungi identified in the present study should be considered as potential pathogens for patients and other people in the hospital.

The objective was to describe the responsibility in the diagnosis of the patient with cerebrovascular accident in the General Hospital Guasmo Sur. The design was qualitative and interpretive. The method was chosen because this way we can describe the problem based on the participant's opinion and perspective in relation to their experiences. The key informants were four people; between resident doctors and medical interns who work in the study hospital; Open interviews were carried out as a data collection technique, which were recorded in audio and transcribed so that each of the participants could then review and approve it to proceed with the study. Scientific rigor was also carried out through informed consent and ethical considerations. The results are analyzed through the construction of categories and codes, for the formation of the theoretical approach. It was concluded that the responsibility in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient with cerebrovascular accident in the General Hospital Guasmo sur is evidenced by a lack of protocols of action and ignorance of this, by the lack of commitment, interest and a negative attitude on the part of the health personnel; And to this is added poor organizational management that does not provide the necessary support to your health team.

The activities of human beings and their interaction with the environment as an adaptation process, these relationships have resulted in public health problems, due to land degradation, water scarcity, and zoonotic diseases, these are produced by the contact of an animal infected with the pathogenic species bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi, between humans, animals and their environment causing endemics, epidemics and pandemics, in this case wild rabies is direct transmission through the mucosa of the eyes, nose, mouth or skin cut by the virus of the Rhabdoviridae family, due to ecological changes resulting from the interaction of these microorganisms, causing complex incidents affecting the most vulnerable population, causing great economic losses and serious damage to health public. In this context, the purpose of this study is to know rabies in Lara state, as it is an endemic state to wild rabies, the source of information was taken from the National Institute of Comprehensive Agricultural Health and the review of reports, for which it will be developed a description of its evolution and behavior from the period 2007-2019, for this reason this information is of great importance because it allows to have a historical count of positive cases for rabies in Lara state as a contribution that will contribute to the understanding of the illness.

At present, Venezuela has around 400 daily cases of infected people diagnosed by Covid 19, for a total of 93,921 positive cases and 819 deaths until November 5, a figure that increases day by day. The number of cases is probably higher but we know the underreporting that exists in the country due to the lack of an adequate epidemiological surveillance mechanism and in addition to the lack of a sufficient number of rapid tests and PCR to diagnose this disease.
