Resumen
Today more than ever a more environmentally friendly economic system is urgent, less predatory and aware of the well-being of all people in the planet. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to explore in literature the conceptual perspective of circular economy, its strategic contribution to sustainable development, its implementation and consequences, as well as contrary opinions. A progressive interest and global trend topic, which has generated a notable movement at the level of governments, foundations, industry and society, regarding reconsidering resources management throughout the life cycle of a product/ service that leads to achieve prosperity, mitigating the impact on the environment and enabling the well-being of human beings and other species. The research methodology is qualitative, and the findings are reviewed through a descriptive exploratory method. Concluding that in the strategies of sustainable development, both the government and Ecuadorian organizations should consider the implementation of circular economy projects and define actions to be taken from the public sphere to promote the transition towards this new economic conception. A limitation of this study is the scarce local empirical evidence on the subject, thus international literature and experiences have been used.

Resumen
The study explains the relationship between two business capacities: market orientation and its influence on learning orientation and, both, on the organizational results of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ecuador. This is a transversal and quantitative deductive-hypothetical investigation. The theoretical model and the proposed hypotheses were tested by applying confirmatory factor analysis of the scales and an analysis based on the structural equations model. It was based on the model of Sinkula, Baker and Noordewier. It was determined that there is a link between market orientation and learning, which translates into a direct and positive impact with organizational results, which, although they do not reach significant levels in the development of Ecuadorian SMEs, this result should not be sustained in lack or deficiency of creativity and personal initiative, but in the current existing business culture, which must prioritize market studies and research development activities of new products/services.

Resumen
Although awareness of the environment represents opportunities for entities that are governed by an ecological conscience, such transition towards corporate environmental management also sets challenges. Through a mixed methodological approach, a documentary and analytical investigation is projected, as well as a survey of different actors involved, with the objective of analysing the process of setting up an environmental management system through which the service stations of public gasoline and diesel (gas stations) in Mexico are, under the new regulatory framework of the national energy reform. Through the findings of this study, it is possible to elucidate how, in the name of the environment, these legal requirements go into regulating new and various aspects of the management of this kind of firms, such as the implementation of the so-called Industrial Security Administration System, Operational Safety and Environmental Protection (SASISOPA). These approaches, under the theoretical approach of the Deming cycle, make it possible to know the formulation and implementation of quality improvement projects for service stations and their functional relationship with obtaining external advice.

Resumen
The environmental pollution caused by mining in the Province of El Oro has brought serious and irreparable consequences to the environment. Mining has been there for a long time, causing a great damage by its activities in the cantons located in the upper part of the province. The objective of this research is to unveil the level of social participation in the care and preservation of nature, for this purpose the use of descriptive and qualitative research was required as a methodology in which the explanation on the background of the phenomenon and the problems was established obtaining the results through observation. The qualitative research design chosen for this work has allowed us to establish a difference between the data collected by bibliographic sources and the results obtained by researchers through observation, to finally conclude that mining is considered one of the most detrimental activities against the environment, due to the consequences and effects mining leaves on it. However, this does not mean that mining must be completely eradicated, the exploitation of minerals should not bring negative consequences to the environment because the main victims will be us.

Resumen
The fourth industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0, encourages industrial physical systems to be connected to the digital world, forcing organizations out of their Status Quo. This reality represents a precedent for organizations to conceive this new revolution in order to migrate to this paradigm from where they currently are. The main objective of this article is to know the challenges that the fourth industrial revolution brings for organizations, by externalizing its importance and characteristics, and explaining its influence on aspects related to its implementation in organizations. The exploratory methodology used includes a literature review in the most important scientific databases on specific aspects such as: industrial revolutions, characteristic features of Industry 4.0, and its influence on organizations. The results can show the influence of the different industrial revolutions, the intrinsic details of Industry 4.0, the attention that its implementationmay require within organizations, and open up the possibility of having a sustainable 4.0 organization approach. Finally, it is concluded that in order to migrate to Industry 4.0, an organization must understand the challenges in managing its operations, human talent, energy, operations, strategy, and sustainability.

Resumen
Process management is a fundamental tool for the management of organizations, it is a basic element to achieve effectiveness objectives and efficiency, as well as a fundamental actor of continuous improvement and productivity. This document aims to present a point of view on whether the process approach as it was known in the industrial revolution, is in force to solve the complexity of organizations in the digital age, its relationship with capacity building to meet the requirements of customers in a dynamic change environment. Through the deductive method and indirectly the two main approaches to management are explored, the organizational structure, processes, systems, measurements and risk areon the hard line, and on the soft line there are relationships and people-focused development, these two approaches have been the traditional response to the complexity of the company and maintain a relationship with the management by processes in the industrial age, it is analyzed whether this relationship is in force in the digital age. It is concluded by identifying certain characteristics that the new processes must develop in order to be aligned to the transformations in the context of the fourth industrial revolution such as innovation, flexibility and adaptability.
