Resumen
Objective: to analyse the differences in the profile of attitudes towards death between specialist nurses in rehabilitation nursing and specialist nurses in other areas.
Method: comparative, quantitative, cross-sectional study, with the participation of 223 specialist nurses from a hospital in northern Portugal. A questionnaire was applied as a data collection instrument. For data analysis, descriptive and analytical statistics were used.
Results: as for attitudes towards death, in nurses who specialize in rehabilitation, those of approach, neutrality, fear, avoidance and escape predominated. In nurses with expertise in other areas, attitudes of approach, fear, neutrality, avoidance and escape prevailed.
Conclusion: although the positive attitudes towards death, of nurses specializing in rehabilitation, acquired a higher percentage value, the difference was not significant. In addition, negative attitudes signal the need to rethink training strategies in the academic, but also in the professional context.

Resumen
Objective: To identify the perception of the person with spinal cord injury from the accident on trauma, rescue and urgent and emergency care.
Methods: exploratory study, with a qualitative approach carried out with ten people with traumatic spinal cord injury between September and November 2014, residing in Chapecó-SC. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were used, and the data were submitted to Thematic Content Analysis.
Results: Eight men and two women aged between 18 and 35 years were interviewed. Among the empirical categories that emerged from the process of apprehending the data are: the beginning of functional disability: trauma; and the rescue and urgent care (Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit).
Conclusion: The rehabilitation process of the person with spinal cord injury should be started as early as possible, which highlights the importance of pre-hospital care. It is up to the pre-hospital care team to intensify this care in order to assist in the conduct of functional independence.

Resumen
Introduction: Cerebral vascular accident (CVA) has a huge impact on a person´s life and his family. Frequently, the person with stroke presents motor alterations, which need the essential intervention of the specialistized rehabilitation nurse (SRN) in order to implement a rehabilitation program, integrated in an interdisciplinary team, to ensure a safe return home.
Objective: To identify the SRN interventions that empower the person with motor disability after CVA and his family/caregiver, in the preparation for the return home.
Method: Systematic literature review in the Pub Med, EBSCO and ProQuest databases, with application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, over a 5-year time horizon (2014-2019).
Results: The 3 articles included reinforced the need for the application of rehabilitation programs that integrate the person`s physical, psychological and cognitive dimensions, as well as the family caregivers in the management of the disability and daily life activities (DLA) in the person with CVA.
Conclusion: The SRN intervention must be integrated into a motor rehabilitation program, using the strategies: health education, identification and training of the caregiver, DLA teaching and training and referral to community resources in order to promote training and supervision, ensuring rehabilitation process continuity.

Resumen
Introduction: According to data from the Portuguese Society of Nephrology, in Portugal on December 31 of 2018, 12,227 patients underwent hemodialysis treatment (HD). Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis present physical and psychological limitations that induce to a sedentary life stile. They have a higher risk of mortality due to reduced functional capacity and loss of muscle strength when compared to individuals of the same age. Scientific evidence points to the implementation of regular exercise programs as supporting treatment for these individuals.
Objectives: Gather and characterize the existing scientific evidence of the benefits of intradialitic physical exercise (IFE), which supports the future implementation of an IFE program in a hemodialysis center.
Method: The research was carried out in the EBSCOhost databases, in April and May 2020, having initially obtained a total of 2,602 scientific productions. Were selected for final analysis 19 studies, 2 quasi-experimental studies and 17 randomized controlled studies, which met the inclusion criteria.
Results: The analysis of the scientific evidence guides to 3 intradialitic intervention categories: aerobic physical exercise, resistance physical exercise and combined physical exercise (aerobic and resistance). All exercise programs have benefits in one or more parameters: hemodialysis effectiveness; functional physical capacity; depression; quality of life; muscle strength; cardiovascular changes; daily physical activity; sleep; balance and restless legs syndrome.
Conclusion: The literature founded, allows us to conclude that IFE programs are simple and inexpensive to implement, have several benefits for hemodialysis patients without prejudice to the dialysis efficacy.

Resumen
The architectural barriers on public highway cause inaccessibility, contributing to the limitation of functionality and creation of disability.
Objectives: to analyze the conditions of accessibility on public highways in view of the needs of disabled people;To understand how external environments contribute to the social inclusion of people with disabilities;
Methodology: Quantitative, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study from a non-probabilistic sample by rational choice - 31 streets (62 pedestrian paths), using an ad hoc evaluation grid (Decree-Law 163/2006) (1).
Results: 75.8% of the pedestrian paths evaluated allow access and permanence of a person in a wheelchair, as well as the frontal and lateral reach to objects placed on the road, however 22.6% of the paths are not accessible.
Conclusion: although the current legislation and accessibility policies, there are still architectural barriers on public highways that rehabilitation nurse directly influence the independence of disabled people, which suggests that should develop effective work with municipalities.
