Resumen
Objective: To compare root coverage surgery results using subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCGT) and de-epithelialized gingival graft (DGG) in Miller Class I and II gingival recessions. Material and Methods: A review of the literature published in the last 5 years, with articles selected from PubMed and Google Scholar databases, using the search key " de epithelialized gingival graft AND subepithelial connective tissue graft.” Results: A total of 250 articles were obtained. 245 publications were excluded through a manual filter because they were duplicated or did not meet the established criteria, obtaining 5 articles included in this review. Conclusion: Both harvesting techniques offer satisfactory results of coverage of root recessions. However, there is not enough evidence to state that one technique is superior to the other.

Resumen
This special issue explores how do we account for the sensitive, intimate ways in which our toolsets ‒ and our choices of these ‒ become the infrastructures that co-produce and co-constitute knowledge and meanings. Testing Against the World aimed at addressing, exploring, and making more explicit the following questions: What drives the choice of toolsets in empirical investigations? Why does contemporary research demand to be ‘grounded’ empirically? What professional, personal, and emotional attachments afford the selection of particular means of observation and translation? What do we expect from our tools? What do they expect of us? How are tools and technologies instrumentalized? How have tools and research adapted or been forced to adapt to new empirical demands, and knowledge economies? What have such settings required us to assume, acquire, or impose? How do choices of instruments and tools pre-format worlds under investigation and authorize the creation of new worlds?

Objective: To assess the prevalence of Caries in 6-year-old children of San Pedro of Atacama commune in 2019. Material and methods: An observational cross-sectional study was conducted from January to December 2019 in which 6-year-old children from the E-26 school in San Pedro of Atacama and schools in the nearby towns of the commune were examined. All examinations were performed by the same operator using the ICDAS scale. Parents were asked for informed consent before the clinical dental examination took place. The data obtained were analyzed using the Stata v.15 statistical program. Results: There was a statistically significant difference (p <0.005) found between both surveys, with an increase of correct answers in the second survey. Conclusion: The prevalence of caries in 6-year-old children in the commune of San Pedro of Atacama is high, therefore, the efforts of the dental team should be centered on education and oral hygiene instruction of children, parents, and teachers.

Resumen
Objectives: To relate the types of migration considering social determinants of health in the American Continent; and characterize the migrant population by sex. Methods: A search was done at PubMed, Scielo, Lilacs, EBSCO, and Google Scholar using MeSH terms. For the inclusion criteria, the title and abstract were analyzed considering: being linked to migration in the American continent, related to the social determinants of health and language (Spanish or English). Articles that mentioned migratory processes or migrants from Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, migrations in the same country, investigations where migration was linked to specific pathologies, critical reviews of the literature, and letters to the editor were excluded. Results: titles and abstracts of 1,488 articles were accessed, inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, obtaining 25 articles. 4 duplicate articles were eliminated, reaching 21 final articles. Conclusion: Regardless of the type of migration, there is a greater female migratory flow. The determinants that affect health are similar in general within the American continent. However, when we talk about access to the health system, it was observed that there is a difference, depending on the type of migration

Resumen
Objetives: The Oral Health Impact Profile 49 in Spanish (OHIP-49 sp) is an instrument used to evaluate the oral health related quality of life. This questionnaire consists of 49 quality related questions. After studying the OHIP-49 Sp instrument, it came to attention that it lacked theoretical validation; because of this, the main objective was to assess the possibility of a modification for OHIP-49 Sp by means of an expert committee and to be applied in elderly patients. Methods: a cross sectional descriptive study was done in which the expert committee was composed of 8 professionals with studies in geriatrics, odontogeriatrics, geronthology and/or experience with elderly patients. Results: Every question of the OHIP-49 Sp questionnaire was evaluated, obtaining that 13 of the 49 questions were deemed doubtful by the experts or they considered to disagree or strongly disagree with the way in which they were redacted. In the end, 5 questions were considered to be the worst formulated and, thus, should be subject to modifications. In addition, each of the questions were classified according to the score they received, several of the questions had more than one criticism made towards them, the most frequent being “lack of clarity” and “ambiguity”.Conclusion: After analysis of the OHIP-49 Sp questionnaire, it was noted that indeed there is opportunity for changes to be made in respect of the original questionnaire.

Resumen
This review explores the book Go be a Writer! Expanding the Curricular Boundaries of Literacy Learning with Children, written by professor and researcher Candace R. Kuby, and teacher Tara Gutshall Rucker. The review begins by explaining how the authors reimagined the writing instruction in Tara’s classroom, which they named ‘writer’s studio’. This is followed by a summary of the book’s nine chapters, organized into three sections: an explanation of the theoretical framework and eight guiding concepts, a look at actual writing projects developed by Tara’s grade one and two students, and a conclusion, aligning writer’s studio with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The structure and style of the writing of this book is unique in that Candace and Tara use multiple modes to communicate their ideas and learning, including images, changes in fonts, symbols, and shifts in genre. I would recommend this book for many audiences, including teachers, administrators, professors, and pre-service teachers as a presentation of a new way to think about how we can teach writing in schools.
