Resumen
This article presents a general analytical overview of the current state of education systems in the international context, based on the review of information from UNESCO, the OECD, other local institutions and official international organizations, and information obtained from research articles in the field of Education. Likewise, the current educational crisis and the social, political and economic factors that converge in it are analyzed. The importance of education throughout life is highlighted, as a vehicle for social transformation, and to promote the growth and development of countries in a more fair and equitable way. Finally, premises and postulates are presented on the challenges of current educational systems, emphasizing on the educational perspective that the 21st century implies, and how it should be addressed to generate a reflection on the required education model, to train capable citizens of living peacefully in harmony with the environment, and having access to the knowledge and development of the globalized world.

Resumen
This essay is an investigative attempt whose essential purpose is to explore critically an aspect of reality in order to approach a particular social phenomenon such as the Venezuelan public university as a complex institution. It is a critical evaluation of previous research related to that institution for a particular geographic context. The essay seeks to contribute to the state of knowledge of its object of study by identifying relationships, contradictions or inconsistencies, as well as proposing possible solutions. That said, universities can be considered among the most important institutions in Latin America. Aspects of the way these institutions have been conducted include various critical nodes of interest worth-analyzing. A research problem in this regard has been the relative scarcity of integrative, comprehensive and recent references about universities in Venezuela. This investigation had as its central objective to compile, analyze and critically integrate various salient aspects of the Venezuelan universities in recent times. By means of relevant sources some important features and phenomena of these institutions in this country were approached, with an emphasis on the management that they have had both contemporarily and also currently. The analysis shows that Venezuelan universities have had in general a historical development similar to their critical Latin American counterparts. However, Venezuela’s universities are currently characterized by going through a period of very serious and unprecedented difficulties.

Resumen
The purpose of this document is to reflect on the subject allusive to scientific competences and multiculturalism, in the Colombia of the XXI century.Through a conceptual theoretical review and a spatial-temporal approach, an analysis of the development of scientific competences in multicultural settings in the country of coffee, coal and emerald is achieved, particularly in the Colombian Caribbean Region. The paper proposes the development of a curriculum that observes the locality but does not stray from the regional and national, as well as that is flexible, holistic, inclusive, among others. Through it, significant experiences will be generated where the student immersed in multicultural classrooms also develop scientific competencies respecting the presabers of these and the research they carry out on their community and context. Reference is made to the professional thinking and knowledge of teachers because it is they who ultimately guide the educational process and the intentionality of them depend on the progress of learners in topics as current as scientific competences and the multiculturalism. At the end of the document some suggestions are made mainly aimed at the qualification of the teacher on the topic of the article and the relevance of innovating in the symbiosis between culture and science.

Resumen
This documentary article proposes a reflection close to multiculturalism, it is about the Latin and Colombian multiethnic reality. It aims to reconceptualize multiculturalism in which plural identity and multiethnic groups take action to explain the entrance of the past colonialism and its appropriateness at present as a fundamental element for the meeting among people, the preservation of cultural legacy, the necessary Latin and Colombian identity and the development of different historic awareness in which emerges an upgraded vision of a diversity as a meeting and dialogue among human beings.

Resumen
Music has been an element that has provided diverse contributions to the cinematographic language. At present it is very difficult to find a film that does not contain any type of musical accompaniment. There are several bibliographies about the role that musicalization plays in movies. However, the vast majority of studies conducted on how music influences the audience that attends to watch a film are of a qualitative nature. This research demonstrates the degree of correlation between the variables: perception of the functions of the music in the film and perception of the film. The instrument (cronbach alpha of 0.95) was applied to a sample of 500 people attending the University Cinema of the University of Panama. The results were tested against Kendall's Tau-B. It is concluded, from the statistical tests, that for the study sample there is an association between the variables (p <0.01) but the strength of the correlation is moderate (Tau_b 0.466). Also, that the function of music that has the highest correlation is; if the music allowed to give rhythm to the film.

Resumen
The main objective of the study was to analyze the possibility of going beyond competency based work towards the development of configurational and critical thinking framed in the socio-critical model, in the midst of the health contingency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. For this, it was based on a specific case where the academic performance and attitudes of 139 eighth grade students from the San José Educational Institution in the municipality of Itagüí, department of Antioquia (Colombia) are related. The results obtained indicate the need for a pedagogy, which, even in the midst of crises, tries to encourage more meaningful and transformative learning in young people.
