Resumen
Drawing on the theoretical input provided by literature and tourism studies, especially on the concept of tourist literature (Quinteiro & Baleiro, 2019), this paper aims to focus on the novels Süßer Mord [Sweet Murder] (2015) and Algarve-Rache [Algarve Revenge] (2017), by Rolf Osang, a German author who wrote various guidebooks about Portugal, especially about the Algarve. In fact, the Algarve is also the setting of these novels, which can be read as literary guidebooks. Both the narrator and various characters in the novels convey several travel tips provided by a writer who knows the region very well, as a member of a local community of international residents, and who, in the writing process, bears in mind the specific interests of possible readers, namely (potential) visitors, with whom he shares information on places of interest as well as impressions about the locals, their culture, and tourist practices in the region.

Resumen
The purpose of this study is to verify how online reviews can become a useful tool for the improvement of hotel businesses through an in-depth analysis of selected scientific papers. This systematic literature review analyses refereed journals in English, Spanish and Portuguese, published worldwide between January 2008 and January 2020 and containing the keywords: online reviews, hotel improvement, hotel performance and hotel development, in 11 different databases. After examining 59 relevant papers, a range of approaches showing how online reviews support hotel business development are uncovered. Besides contributing to the existing literature by extending the current research on the use of online reviews, the findings of this study also provide hoteliers with insights on how to take advantage of online reviews. Although several studies approach hotel business development using online reviews, only a few studies have gathered these papers to verify their applications and managerial implications. Thus, this paper aims to fill this research gap.

Dentro do Segredo - Uma viagem na Coreia do Norte (Inside the secret – A journey in North Korea) represents José Luís Peixoto's debut in travel literature, through an incursion into North Korea, the most closed country in the world. Blending the classic travel narrative with a deep inner introspection, as well as reflections on the political, social and historical reality of the territory, the author presents a subjective vision of the country, where reality and simulacrum intersect and the truth remains only an illusion. The reader is thus faced with a paradox: what kind of tourism is possible in a strongly controlled space and where the freedom of the traveller is curtailed? We thus propose to reflect on the conditions of the writing of the journey in this narrative by José Luís Peixoto, keeping in mind both the possibility of literary tourism, nurtured by the introspective writing, and the tension between perceived reality and simulated reality.

The case study of this research is Sade Rembitan, one of the only two ethnic villages on Lombok still inhabited by its original people, and which has been increasingly promoted as a tourist attraction and instrument to improve welfare for ethnic communities. Since different tourist groups may differ in the experience they seek in an ethnic tourism destination, it is important for a destination to understand how tourists are likely to respond to their products and to contribute to a profitable and successful attraction. The goal of this research is to investigate how to offer a more successful ethnic tourist experience to both domestic and international tourists, in the context of a fast-growing tourism destination. The research is based on the concept of ethnic tourism and its elements. By using desk research, observations, unstructured interviews, questionnaires, photography and semi-structured interviews, the research has been divided into three phases: the context and problem statement, the measurement of the tourist experience and differences between nationalities and finally the deeper understanding of the difference in tourist experience. The analysis reveals that the tourist experience in Sade Rembitan indeed differs for the domestic and international tourist. Indonesian tourists rate the overall tourist experience higher than international tourists. The gap seems to arise from the missing element of the experience of activities, which is seen as a crucial element in an ethnic tourism experience. For the international tourist, there is a need for more interaction, a mediator between the visitor and local community and to become part of the real lifestyle; something that is currently missing in Sade Rembitan.

Resumen
The objective of this research consists of the elaboration 0f the procedure for the design of a regional tourist destination management strategy. To this end, the theoretical-conceptual bases of the research in relation to tourist destinations and their management are laid out, as well as their relationship with the design of strategies, so that it is possible to propose the procedure for the design of the regional tourist destination management strategy, structured in phases and stages. The main result is a holistic and relevant procedure; conceptual validation is achieved via expert judgment and practice through its application in the regional tourist destination of Villa Clara, Cuba. A strategy that facilitates the integration of the actors involved in the destination, efficiency in the use of resources, as well as satisfaction in the tourist experience, is achieved.

Resumen
As tourist arrivals to Bali have increased steadily over the past 40 years, the crowds from Kuta and Seminyak have started to shift towards the now booming area of Canggu. Rapid developments present the community with the challenge of preservation vs. economic growth that will impact the destination’s future. The objective of this study is to assess, analyze and evaluate the present and future situation of the Canggu area in order to give advice on the match between the area's supply and demand. The study provides Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with recommendations on effective interventions in order to strengthen their strategic position to achieve the destination’s preferable future. This study used four different research methods: desk research, participant observations, surveys with tourists, and semi-structured interviews with enterprises. Results show that the most impactful difference between MSEs lies in the level of strategy refinement, which suggests that creating a circular model between MSEs could strengthen the area of Canggu.

Resumen
This literature review conceptualises resilience within the context of complex adaptive systems and explores the applicability of resilience as a development strategy for tourism destinations. Evolutionary approaches to resilience focus on the process of development, which enables destinations and their residents to react, adapt and learn from inevitable change. Diversity emerges as the central element in creating resilient destinations as communities have more opportunities and resources at their disposal to increase adaptive capacities. For effective destination management, resilience must therefore be fostered at a community level and further research is required to develop implementable frameworks of resilience for tourism development.
