Resumen
Despite significant advances in the field of home and building automation, the adoption of home automation systems in more everyday applications such as apartments and small offices is still not very visible. Manufacturers maintain development of building and home automation systems focused on large applications, and those available for small applications, still do not correspond to user expectations, due to low functionality, price, complexity and performance problems. In order to address the aforementioned problems, this work proposes to design and evaluate a simple modular home automation system, based on open-source hardware and low-cost components. Specifically focused on small applications, such as the automation of simple household tasks in residential apartments, promoting comfort, safety and savings in the daily life of the end user. The designed system is based on the ESP8266 microcontroller, taking advantage of its wireless connectivity functionalities, to build a fully decentralized system capable of interacting with users through a web interface and a Wi-Fi connection to the home's local network. Resulting in a highly expandable and configurable system, based on independent modules that perform specific functions according to the user's needs.

Resumen
This research presents a study of the performance of 5G networks at system level through the variation of fundamental parameters in scenarios developed in MATLAB is carried out. The results obtained translate into the optimization of base stations for any deployment environment, providing data rates above 1 Gbit/s at a carrier frequency of 30 GHz with a 60 KHz of SCS, in addition to provide a good quality of service for high mobility users (400 km/h), with data rates of up to 100 Mbit/s.

Resumen
Spanish, European and Latin American libraries contain in their antique collections numerous bindings of Arabic influence that have not been studied, as is the case of such important libraries as the National Libraries of Spain, Mexico and Colombia, among others. This paper studies the Mudéjar bindings of the Morals on the Book of Job by Saint Gregory, from the Biblioteca de la Casa de Alba. An analysis is carried out of the decorative structure, as well as of the elements, tools and ornamental techniques. The analysis of the data indicates that they were made in the same workshop and at the same time, and were acquired by the National Library of Spain at the end of 2017.

Resumen
This paper is an approach to some key concepts in Peter Handke’s literary production. Throughout his work, Handke refers to and is supported by pictorial images and painting procedures in order to achieve a literary gaze. This article about the writer and his relation to plastic arts revolves around motifs such as landscape, time, transformation, things, the gaze and knowledge as well as some other concepts that provide information about his idea of art, namely topographic relations, absence, “dis-empowerment”, the creator’s ethical stance and others. Also, all of these topics are studied as a model to understand the development of plastic arts. As a methodology, this article is based on the readings of several of Handke’s texts in parallel to the creation of some of our own plastic artwork.

Resumen
Intestinal parasitic infections are more frequent in children; in Latin America the prevalence is high, due to socioeconomic factors, deficit in environmental sanitation and inadequate hygiene habits. Public health entities are making efforts to mitigate this problem; however, they continue to be a probable cause of deficits in the child's anthropometric development. To determine the relationship between intestinal parasites in Latin American children, anemia and malnutrition, the mechanisms by which intestinal parasites may cause these disorders are evaluated. The documentary design and type of retrospective study were used, using the PRISMA guide as a search strategy. The result, according to the review of studies at the level of all Latin American countries, is that the most frequent parasite is Giardia intestinalis (lamblia, duodenalis) which is recognized as a cause of malnutrition in preschool children with chronic and severe infection due to malabsorption syndrome. Among the helminths, the most frequent were Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura, which could cause alterations in nutrition and anemia, respectively, without forgetting hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus) that produce anemia but, in Latin America, are more frequent in adults

Resumen
Intestinal helminthiasis is a public health problem in tropical countries, especially in underdeveloped countries and in poor populations. Infection with these parasites causes a hematological response characterized by an increase in the number of circulating eosinophils in peripheral blood and tissues, which is known as eosinophilia. In this work, a systematic review of the literature published in the last 25 years was carried out on the classification of eosinophilia, the intestinal helminths that produce it, what are the immunological mechanisms that occur in humans in the face of these parasitosis, as well as the immune system evasion mechanisms used mainly by adult forms of these parasites, allergic reactions associated with activation of the immune system, immunological diseases and poor responses to vaccines. Finally, the function of the eosinophil as an effector cell of Th2 immunity against intestinal helminths is reviewed. This revision is registered in PROSPERO under ID number 215594.

Resumen
In Ecuador, it has been estimated that approximately 25% of children under 5 years of age suffer from chronic malnutrition; the situation is more serious in indigenous communities from rural areas. In this sense, an analytical research with a quantitative approach was carried out, which included 100 indigenous schoolchildren aged between 5 and 12 years who attend 4 schools belonging to the Tucayta Organization located in the province of Cañar, Ecuador. A survey was applied with which sociodemographic data were collected, coproparasitic analyzes were carried out and anthropometric measurements were taken. The results show that the 35% prevalence of enteroparasitosis in schoolchildren, the most frequently detected species was Entamoeba histolytica (32%). When height was related to age to establish nutritional status, alterations were found in 59% of the investigated children, 19% showed low weight for age and the Body Mass Index (BMI) was decreased in 17% of they. When relating the socio-sanitary variables, significant statistical differences were found between hand washing before and after: eating (0.028), going to the bathroom (0.010) and performing daily activities (0.028), (p≤ 0.05). It is concluded that there is an inadequate compliance with basic sanitary practices, these

Resumen
Hepatitis B is a disease that affects 350 million people in the world. There are factors such as age, sex, overweight, immunological diseases, diabetes mellitus, among others, that prevent the correct immune response to the hepatitis B vaccination. The objective of the research was to analyze the presence of antigliadin antibodies and the lack of response to vaccination against hepatitis B in adults. The descriptive-non-experimental design methodology, prospective, cross-sectional and explanatory, included 235 selected adults without distinction of sex or ethnicity with a history of vaccination against hepatitis B virus in whose serum samples antibodies against hepatitis B virus surface antigen were determined. Statistical analysis was performed with the Graph Pad Prism 8.0® software. antibodies against hepatitis B virus surface antigen were present in 76% of the population studied. 35.5% had elevated antigliadin antibodies associated with a hyporesponsiveness to the hepatitis B virus vaccine. Factors such as body mass index and family history of type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus in the adults studied were significantly associated with the lack of immune response in non-responders
