Currently, it is attempted to determine how to feed the growing world population sustainably. To achieve it is necessary to know the current and the desired state of the agri-food supply chains; for which, the Value Stream Mapping has been formerly used. The research aims to determine the state of knowledge and its implementation practice for supply chain sustainability analysis through a systematic literature review and use of backward and forward search methods. It is concluded that the Value Stream Mapping encompasses a wide range of elements, when combined with approaches such as Life Cycle Analysis, Methods and Time Study, Ergonomics, Occupational Health and Safety . Besides, the value stream simulation facilitates the identification of feasible improvements.

This work was proposed as the first objective to demonstrate that a consistency index proposed in 2015 as part of an attribute weighting model is not objective enough. The second objective is the proposal of a new optimization model to weight attributes that is based on an idea similar to that of the analyzed model where the limitations detected in it are not evident. To achieve the above, the significance and scope of the consistency and inconsistency indices proposed in the previous work from where the limitation was induced in the first one is corroborated with the analysis of a case study. The new model is based on extended fuzzy logic techniques and on new concepts introduced by the authors such as the weighted generalized inconsistency index of order q and the internal and external confidence coefficients.

The present paper introduces an algorithm for the integrated programming of production and preventive maintenance in a productive configuration of identical parallel machines, aiming to minimize the total manufacturing time. The algorithm has been structured in two phases; in the first one, an initial solution is obtained, resulting from the application of a designed and proposed constructive heuristic that is inspired by the Largest Processing Time dispatch rule, with some modifications allowing it to consider the stochastic nature of the problem and the possibility that several jobs may have different release dates; in phase 2, an attempt is made to improve the initial solution using a simulated annealing method. As a way of evaluating its feasibility the algorithm was implemented in a company producing products derived from plastic, demonstrating through the results obtained its potential as a mechanism to improve operational capabilities.

The study addresses the relationship between Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and sustainable development as an articulating element of its three dimensions: environmental, economic and social. Variables that integrate the social dimension in the field of recycling are evaluated, where in a previous study it is concluded that in Ecuador the reverse supply chain in household appliances (refrigerators) has shortcomings in this dimension and affects the sustainability of the RENOVA program. A method to integrate the results of the evaluation of variables at the level of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) dedicated to the recycling of refrigerators using the survey is proposed. The effects on the working environment are significant, interfering with sustainable development in the area of recycling, where the Social Group Entropy Optimization Algorithm (SGEO) model to optimize the variable was used. The results set the basis for an organizational change from the use of ICT, tending to open innovation, knowledge management, shared information management and project monitoring.

It is assessed how the level of management of economic, environmental and social risks contribute to sustainability in a Cuban tourist destination, through specific indicators and an aggregate index. The indicators selected for risk management and the aggregate index Level of Risk Management in the Tourist Destination (NGRDT) were calculated, assessing their behavior. Several tools were used, such as: group work, staff interviews, document consultation, simple management method, expert method, which offer scientific support to the research. Finally, it was obtained that the risk management in the studied destination, according to the scale used, is at an average level from which an improvement plan was defined to increase the performance of the risk management in the tourist destination.

The dynamism experienced by  organizations today must be compensated with the use of techniques and tools that meet their needs. The conjugation of elements of the classical administration, with the new tendencies to manage the companies is a feasible conception in the search of results for the increase of the organizational performance. In this paper a procedure for the application of the DACUM method, originally conceived for the occupational description of a job, in an approach to Knowledge Management is proposed. The adaptation raises the extension  of a matrix that incorporates the necessary knowledge for the execution of tasks and functions that converts the method into a feasible use tool in the elaboration of improvement programs and in the knowledge audit processes 

The social networks analysis has its mainly used in the networks of publications, networks of co-citations, collaboration structures and information resources on the web. Currently, it begins to be part of the knowledge management audit tools, although there are scares applications associated with labor relations and the interaction of people as result of their tasks in the workplace. The research objective is to develop a procedure for social networks analysis as a tool for the audit of knowledge management. The methods used are synthesis analysis, hypothetical deductive, system approach and intermediation, proximity, degree centrality and cluster analysis. As a result, is propose a methodology for the application of social network analysis that facilitates the application of other knowledge management tools, such as the DACUM method and knowledge maps.

The objective of the article is to expose the structure and essential relationships of a theoretical-methodological conception to contribute to socialize the scientific production of the professors of the Faculty of Education in Technical Sciences of the University of Pedagogic Sciences Enrique Jose Varona, Havana, Cuba, from knowledge management. With the use of theoretical, empiric and mathematical methods it was possible to determine ideas, essential concepts, principles that sustain the proposal, by means of the integration of pedagogic actions and tools from knowledge management, in correspondence with the needs and demands of the scientific-technological context.

ABSTRACT Significant effort is required to find, make sense and reuse research data. To tackle this problem, the Findable, Accessible, Reusable and Interoperable (FAIR) data principles describe a minimal set of requirements for data management and stewardship, considered as the technological basis for the European Open Science Cloud. The FAIR data point (FDP) leverages linked data (LD) to expose data and metadata adhering to the FAIR data principles, specifying a set of standardized metadata that a data repository should implement. Data owners can expose datasets, and data users can reuse datasets through RESTful services, enabling interoperability in a web scale. Data repositories and their underlying software only recently started supporting LD, and their metadata are only available as key-value pairs. An open question in this context is how to enable an existing data repository software to be compliant with the FDP specification, i.e., how to add semantic descriptions to data repositories to ensure the semantic interoperability among data from different repositories? This paper describes a semantic proxy solution to enable a data repository software, the EUDAT B2share service to behave as an FDP in a non-invasive and non-intrusive way, enabling the semantic interoperability through semantic translations. Our solution describes a methodology for metadata mapping based on endogenous model-driven transformations from lexicon to semantic models. We show how metadata in key-value pairs from a general-purpose repository can be made compliant with LD technology without changing the repository software. The solution validation includes functional tests of the FDP metadata layers and a performance analysis of the impact of the semantic proxy on data exchange. The results show that B2share can be compliant to FDP specifications with a reduced impact on the data exchange performance. Therefore, the validation shows that the solution is feasible and adequate to transform a general-purpose data repository software in an FDP.Keywords: FAIR Data; Data Reusability; Data Repository Software; FAIR Data Point.
