The APA recognizes 54 divisions as interest groups including the psychology of health and the psychology of rehabilitation.  In addition, who was the president of this association in 1998 promoted positive psychology as a perspective from the need to turn attention to optimal psychic functioning and thus to human strengths and virtues. Objective: to explore in the scientific literature on physical health the approaches from a perspective of positive psychology. Method: A search in PsycArticles with the keywords "positive psychology" AND "health" in AB (abstract). 16 articles were reviewed after selecting only those that addressed to particular physical health conditions under a view from positive psychology. An initial content exploration and an analysis of the findings and discussions of the articles was conducted. Results: Results are presented for 11 diseases or health deficiencies subject to approximation from positive psychology in the articles (cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disease, cerebrovascular disease, spinal cord injury, obesity, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, substance abuse and physical symptoms) and the positive variables or categories that were considered in research (optimism, resilience, post-traumatic growth, well-being, satisfaction with life, positive affect, meaning, adherence to treatment, quality of life and mindfulness). It also outlines the positive interventions and future prospects that were detached from the review. Discussion: to delimit a positive health psychology requires strengthening the production and scientific evidence in this area. It is a promising field both in the development of health prevention and education strategies and intervention in specific deficiencies, aimed in any case at health-related quality of life and well-being.

Basic Body Awareness Therapy (BBAT) is a person-centered and health-oriented approach. It offersassessment tools and a treatment program, is used by physiotherapists individually and in groups. Theobjective of this therapy is to support the patient to be more conscious, develop and maintain functionalabilities and coordination in the movement. There are not studies that evaluate the effect of this methodology on older adults to improve their functionality. Objective: To describe the effect of BBAT on the functionality of a group of older adults. Method: Qualitative study, the sample corresponded to 5 adult women between 60-78 years of age with different comorbidities and pain in at least one joint. 12 sessions BBAT group therapy were carried out, evaluating at the beginning and at the end the quality of movement and body awareness using the body awareness scale (BARS: body awareness rating scale). Results: There were changes in the quality of movement, posture, elasticity, balance and coordination.                              Improved body awarenessand pain reduction was observed. Discussion: The importance of promoting the quality of movement in thispopulation group to improve functionality and quality of life is discussed. The importance of group work ishighlighted from a psychosocial perspective. BBAT can be a useful approach for the elderly when they focuson improving the quality of movement, functionality and quality of life.

Huntington's disease has been studied largely by its motor symptomatology, but cognitive and psychiatric affections appear to years before the motor debut. Neuropsychiatric symptoms represent an important load for patients and their families for the loss of independence of those who suffer them. The objective of this work is to carry out a research of the specific cognitive symptoms that differ them to carry out only the basic daily activities, the references to the executive system. By identifying the main affections of patients from early stages, a more efficient therapeutic approach can be designed. The review was carried out with studies of the last six years, that were empirical studies and that included patients with the grouped disease according to its evolution. Within the studies used, different methods of evaluation of the executive system applied. Both psychiatric and cognitive symptoms are valued within the executive function and how they evolve in the course of disease. The results point out to an important executive dysfunction from initial stages of the disease, in particular an increased risk of apathy since very early in the situation.

The celiac disease (CD) is a permanent Gluten intolerance, with a prevalence of 1%, which increases in people with autoimmune diseases, chromosomopathies, or first degree relatives with CD. Clinically it can be asymptomatic, or produce a florid malabsorption syndrome, with gastrointestinal and extra gastrointestinal symptoms, with impaired nutritional status. The diagnosis is made based on clinical suspicion, serological tests, genetic studies (HLA DQ2 / 8), and the duodenal biopsy, that is the gold standard for diagnosis. The treatment is maintaining a gluten-free diet for life.

May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS), known as iliac vein compression syndrome, is characterized by a compression of the left common iliac vein, caused by the right common iliac artery. This compression results in an injury of the intima layer, causing fibrous spurs in the vascular lumen, which obstructs the venous flow. MTS is usually asymptomatic and it’s more frequently diagnosed in women. Its diagnosis can be made using vascular ultrasound or other non-invasive tools, such as computerized tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The treatment focuses on decreasing flow obstruction and managing complications, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE).
