Resumen
This paper is part of a larger project —a theory of Law— which purports to use concepts of systems theory, complexity and cybernetics in order to create models of legal behavior that can be subject to computer simulation and modeling, thus making theory and practice more relatable to each other. Because of space constrains, two models of Law are proposed: one on how knowledge about Law, Justice and the Rule of Law is created and circulates, and one on what norms are and how they are implemented, along with a brief notion of who are its subjects. The work offered in this study is correlated with the Law and Society approach to legal empiricism and concludes that theory and practice hold a recursive relation: theory without a practical referent is fiction and practice without theory is blind development; computer modeling is a way to further the complementary relationship that both ought to hold.

Resumen
This paper analyzes how different understandings of social uncertainty lead to different frameworks for institutional design. For this, the ideas of social contract theorists, such as Hobbes, Locke and Rousseau, are examined from the approach of Rational Choice Institutionalism. The argument is that the social contract theories, defended by each of these authors, aim to overcome problems of uncertainty. However, given their historical circumstances, each political thinker conceived uncertainty differently, which ultimately has consequences for the way in which institutions distribute political power

Resumen
This work has two aims: to sketch a biography of H. L. A. Hart and to reconstruct the cultural and philosophical context in which his thought developed. The first part provides the most relevant data of his biography: his participation in intelligence services during World War II. Subsequently, the work addresses the British philosophical landscape of the early twentieth century, when the so-called anti-idealist revolt took place, and when modern analytic philosophy was born. It is there, more precisely, in the stream of ordinary language philosophy headed by J. L. Austin, where the background of Hart’s philosophical method can be found. I conclude with some testimonies of Hart to illustrate the above-mentioned claims and propose some topics for further research.

Resumen
The legal concept of person is commonly associated with rights and obligations, additionally, it is related to a metaphor: an antique mask that allowed to portray roles in ancient theaters, even though the symbolic essence of this concept has produced several changes in its history. This article aims to analyze how analogic hermeneutics might be useful in order to expose the semantics of “person” and discuss the important link between contestability and analogy.
