La presente exposición es un resumen de nuestro trabajo de grado titulado: "El Teniente de Justicia Mayor en la Administración Colonial Venezolana. Aproximación a su Estudio Histórico-Jurídico". En este sentido, en este trabajo se presenta una breve reseña historiográfica de este funcionario y se enfatizan los siguientes aspectos: origen del funcionario, establecimiento en las provincias panvenezolanas y la caracterización del cargo como tal. Concluye el contenido de esta comunicación con un señalamiento breve del significado socio-político del funcionario y la presentación de un amplio aparato crítico.

A 1994 interview to Mr. Rafael Pinzon, a member of General Marcos Pérez Jimenez's goverment staff. It is a very valuable testimony to the knowledge of the Venezuelan contemporary history, especially if compared to other sources.

Este artículo se refiere a las luchas políticas en los Andes venezolanos en las tres últimas décadas del siglo XIX, son estudiadas en él, la guerra legalista del año 1892 y las consecuencias que la misma tuvo en la región.

This article refers to an approximation to the beginning manifestations of liberalism in Venezuela, during its gestation as ideological body, before creating the Liberal Party (1840), proclaiming the Federal Program (1863) and setting up the named yellow liberalism (1870-1899). These early expressions are going to draft their doctrinaire evolution, they will be presented in three stages: first, during the beginning process of republic building when it explains and spreads some opinions which come together with precepts of republican traditions and liberal notions identified in newspapers, documents, political statements, and even participations in the Congress of 1811, then, in the context of Colombian union, mainly with the political-theoretical elaboration of Francisco Javier Yanes y Tomás Lander, and later, since 1834, through ,essentially, the works of Lander, his speech shows a major explained link, without denying its formulation in previous stages with ideas of freedom and individual initiative, limitations to the power of the State, constitutionalism, separation of powers, representative system, alternability and with the human rights in society, including, the property ones, legal equality and printing freedom.
