What is the sacred? From Georges Bataille to René Girard, throughout Roger Caillois, Mary Douglas, Julia Kristeva, Emmanuel Lévinas, the main theories of the sacred have discribed it as a notion which can hardly be contained within the framework of a definition, as its ways are exces, overflow, outburst. Frequently thought as substance and strengh, the sacred is what destabilizes forms and removes differences and borders. This line of thought is at work in Pascal Quignard’s speculations on the role of the sacred in the shaping of the human from, in and with the animal. Resumen
Love is one of the fundamental themes of universal literature, and it was also one of the most preferred themes of the 19th century female novelists. In this work, we will analyse the factors which explain the supposed trend towards the subject of love during this time. For this, we will refer to Georges de Peyrebrune as an example, a late 19th century French novelist for whom writing about love provided a way of making a living, and additionally a means of protesting against inequality between men and women

Resumen
In the wake of the Second World War, during the Liberation, a considerable number of women accused of «horizontal collaboration» with the enemy have been publicly severely punished by the population. Arrested without warrant, then physically and psychologically bad treated, even till death, «the clean beasts» will become the symbol of a triple adultery, to the Country, to society and to the family. Starting from a multidisciplinary perspective, and through a novelesque selection, we will examine the literary representation of the dehumanisation process set up by novelists to show how this goes through the victim’s animalization and reification.

Resumen
This article deals with the “translation/re-creation”, “adaptation/re-creation”, or “imitation” of the work of the French poet Roucher Les Mois by the Canarian intellectual Viera y Clavijo. Before examining his version of the work itself, the paper analyses the “agriculturalist-style” poems that were in fashion in France in the second half of the 18th century, outstanding among which were those composed by Saint-Lambert and “l’abbé” Delille. Inscribed in the tradition of these two writers, Roucher’s work would raise him to the status of master of the descriptive didactic genre. In his version, Viera sometimes translates and sometimes adapts; he replaces French referents with Spanish allusions, making abundant use, as in many of his translations-imitations of French works, of the resource of reduction
