Resumen
This article presents the result of a research on the Brazilian Academy of Letters (ABL) during the military dictatorship. It aims to analyse to what extent this supposedly apolitical institution served as an instance of legitimation for the regime. The article examines the way the “immortals” sought to build a memory of the “heroes of the Nation”. In doing so, they extolled important values to the regime as civility and patriotism. The option for this perspective allowed to restore the complexity and ambiguity of the relations between the ABL and the regime established in Brazil in 1964.

Resumen
From a conception of gender violence as a structural phenomenon in Ecuador, I explore the tension that exists between the recognition of legal pluralism and the respect of the human right of indigenous women to a life free of violence. In this line, I study the international instruments that protect the human rights of women and the collective rights of indigenous peoples to understand the way in which they have reproduced the dichotomous discourse between collective and individual rights. I address their impact on the global, national and local levels, which ends up affecting indigenous women in the face of the phenomenon of gender violence and their access to Ecuadorian Justice.

Resumen
The anthropology of the Mediterranean area has been constructed as a field of enquiry for scholars coming from the North of the world and the “north” of anthropology. Indifference for, and lack of communication with, native scholars and local traditions of folklore and ethnological studies created tensions and misunderstandings, which ultimately led to a redefinition of power relationships between the different anthropological communities. Mediterranean societies have thus become a fertile laboratory for the renewal of the discipline, and Mediterranean anthropology can provide a useful point of reference for global non-hegemonic anthropological projects.

Resumen
During the Seventies, several authors resorted to Marxist topics to explain the dictatorships dominating in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Some of those authors dismissed a singular type of Latin America Fascism, others identified a dependent Fascism. The political and theoretical discussion focused on the class support to these dictatorships and their composition as well as on the "anti-communism" side of dictatorships, rather than on the "anti-democratism", even though the last was verifiable both in the region and in the European experiences, and there were the conditions for adjusting the debate with the ideological terms it was pursuing.

Resumen
In this paper I made a historicization of the processes that allow us to understand the regimes of State terrorism in the American continent. Each of the sections at this work contains an analysis of the most structural conditions and counterrevolutionary tendencies of the second half of the 20th century. The adoption of terrorist practices by part of the States not only meant a change in the juridical nature of the same, it’s not an only question of technical repressive, is a specific political phenomenon, an extreme modality of capitalist State.

Resumen
Based on the articulation between the idea of an enemy in criminal law and the analysis of the historical importance of racism in the structure of our society, we will analyse how we are facing a real genocide of the black population in Brazil today. Through the analysis of the lethal violence of our punitive system, we will point out how a state of permanent exception allows a high mortality rate of young black men, which we relate to necropolitics. Finally, we will indicate how the federal military intervention in the state of Rio de Janeiro legitimizes the action of the state against those considered "enemies", strengthening authoritarian and violent discourses and practices against the black population.
