This article analyzes orientations for teaching sports published in journals about the teaching and techniques of physical education from the period 1932-1960, using as sources the Revista de Educação Física [Journal of Physical Education] and Educação Physica [Physical Education]. The theoretical-methodological basis for the article was the analysis of the materiality of printed. The sources indicate a body of knowledge needed to teach physical education, related to a project of professional education. The conditions for crowning physical education in schools include the need to study, corporally appropriate the exercises, mediate interpersonal relations, and know the rules and history of sporting practices, to maintain the depth and complexity required for the organization of their educational programs.

This essay is a political, cultural and didactic analysis of the Transmedia Literacy (TL) educational project (2015-2018). First, we described the project, evaluating its initial diagnosis, its digital media and pedagogical experiences and affi liations as well as its scope regarding the Latin American educational scenario. Then, based on a sociocultural, anthropological and historical perspective of school culture, we reviewed a series of epistemological, theoreticalmethodological and political issues that we consider to have infl uenced it. Our main focus is on one of the didactic proposals of the Teacher’s Kit which TL offers to teachers as an innovative guidance for digital media education. Finally, we have set out a series of general guidelines that act as alternatives, still under development, for the project proposals analyzed.

This article examines the topic of medical reports on the experiences of schooling. This topic has been widely discussed since the beginning of the 21st century, associated with the production of individual diagnoses, such as the indication of dyslexia or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, to explain school failure. Based on surveys conducted in recent years, this study critically examines the theme of pathologizing school life as more comprehensive. This greater inclusiveness concerns the historical presence of reports on experiences of school segregation. And, it is not just a matter of history. In the current scenario, the schooling of disabled or chronically ill children is marked by the subordination of pedagogical arguments to the stigmatizing logic of the reports.

Chile has promoted the development of managerial / pedagogical leadership. Consequently, it has introduced support and guidance instruments such as the Marco para la Buena Dirección y el Liderazgo Escolar [Framework for Good Leadership and School Leadership] (MBDLE). Opinions of directors from public institutions in the Maule region (Chile) were analyzed within the context of personal resources in their daily practices are arranged in this guiding axis. This is a qualitative exploratory study. The results agree that most of the directors use practices that coincide with these resources, steering their attention from more conventional management issues to the dimensions proposed in the framework, observing the need to improve some components of it.

Putafeminista: trabalhadora sexual, ativista pelos direitos das prostitutas e uma das fundadoras da Central Única de Trabalhadoras e Trabalhadores Sexuais (CUTS), no Brasil, Monique Prada tem evidenciado o seu engajamento pelo País e, igualmente, em constante interlocução com as trabalhadoras sexuais de outros países do mundo. A obra de Monique Prada se opõe tanto ao que se conhece, no plano do senso comum, sobre a prostituição, como se opõe aos estereótipos e aos preconceitos presentes no imaginário social da profissão. O livro apresenta um novo olhar sobre as prostitutas, sobre os seus direitos e sobre as escolhas de condução de suas vidas.

English Language Teaching in Brazil has been challenged by the emerging universities resulted from the presidency terms of Lula and Dilma. In our case, the Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia is one of the last universities to be founded in Bahia, a black-majority state. In this paper, I discuss ethnicity and race at play in the context of reading activities during three courses taught in one year-period whereby activities concerning regional context and encouraging discussion on racism were used to employ a more inclusive methodology in order to engage black students. The results point out a positive engagement by the students if they have the inclusion of their own identities.

The development of the concept of inclusive education was based on several sources and surrounded by other notions, such as failure, quality and effectiveness, which influence its interpretation and implementation. This article is a theoretical discussion that seeks to understand, from an educational perspective, how this confluence of ideas was formed. To that end, we establish a historical chronology of international policies, national Chilean policies, and research trends, which are understood as universal concerns, work hypotheses and objects of study, respectively. The discussion reveals the complexity of the concept when we contextualize it and when we clarify its logic in psycho-pedagogical terms and in terms of resource effectiveness, quality and inclusion.
