The present work proposes a combination of the semantic nets and the logical programming in the identification of Peruvian marine fish. Of the semantic net of marine fish, you complete the sections of Lampreys and Chimeras, for their code in SWI-Prolog (version 5.02), being created a base of knowledge of species fish marine Peruvians.

Iron-deficiency anemia is highly prevalent in Peru. It mainly affects children under 3 years. In the past 10 years the prevalence has declined slightly and remains high especially in the population living in the mountains and rural areas. Caritas Peru in the Ancash region developed between 2007 and 2011 Micuy Ally Project, with support from the Antamina Mining Fund, which was achieved significant reduction in chronic malnutrition and anemia in children. Our objective is to show the efficacy of twice weekly administration of ferrous sulfate supplements for reducing anemia in children 6 to 35 months of age in rural communities in Ancash, Peru. This is a retrospective observational research. The project was determined Ally Micuy initial hemoglobin level of children 6 to 35 months, using HemoCue photometer. According to the levels of hemoglobin, ferrous sulfate was administered 1 to 2 mg of elemental iron per kilo of body weight per time, twice a week as a preventive dose and 3 to 5 mg of elemental iron per kilo of body weight once twice a week as a therapeutic dose. Ferrous sulfate supplementation was provided by the Community Educational Nutrition. Hemoglobin was analyzed at 6 and 12 months. We observed that the percentage of children aged 6 to 35 months with anemia decreased from 62.58% to 45.71% after one semester of supplementation (n = 4001). After the second consecutive semester of supplementation, the percentage of anemia decreased from 68.28% to 31.57% (n = 2623). The average concentration of hemoglobin was 10.29gr/dl, and 11.23gr/dl 10.78gr/dl at baseline, at 6 and 12 months of supplementation, respectively. Therefore, we conclude that supplementation made by the Nutrition Community Educational team twice a week is effective in reducing anemia in children 6 to 35 months of age. The decrease in the prevalence of anemia in children by administration of ferrous sulfate is much greater when the children are supervised supplementation during two consecutive semesters.

Porous films formed by a semiconductor ZnO-NiO (% mol) doped with Au nanoparticles (3% mol) were prepared by sol-gel method using nickel acetate tetrahydrate (NiC4H6O4.4H2O) and zinc acetate dihydrate (C4H6O4Zn.2H2O) as precursors, methanol (CH6OH) and ethanol (C2H6O) as solvents, monoethanolamine (C2H7NO) and diethanolamine (C4H11NO2) as functional chelants, and chloroauric acid (HAuCl4) as gold precursor. The samples were characterized by infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV-VIS) spectroscopy, microscopy SEM, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and gas sensing tests. The semiconductor samples were deposited on silicon substrates by spin-coating method at 2000 rpm, subsequently annealing at 500 and 600 °C. The effects of the compositions of NiO-ZnO and the percentage of doping are also discussed. The layer thickness was determined by ellipsometry in approximately 75 nm. These compounds were tested for gas sensors for H2 and CO (1% V/V) at 300 °C, showing excellent results for H2, but not for the CO.

This research was conducted for determine scientifically the anti-inflammatory property attributed popularly to the plant Ageratina sternbergiana (DC.) RM King & H. Rob ``Zun Zun´´, used for inflammation. The Antiinflammatory activity was evaluated by subplantar edema method according to Winter et . al. The method consist to cause inflammation in the left hind paw of the experimental animals, which can be reduced by the anti-inflammatory substances. We used 18 albino mice (male and female) strain Balb C53 in 6 groups: control (no treatment), 3 groups with ethanol extract of stems at doses of 50 mg / kg, 100 mg / kg, 200 mg / kg and 1 group hydrolyzed ethanol extract of stems at doses of 160 mg / kg and 1 group with indomethacin in doses of 10 mg / kg. The application of all treatments were oral. The pharmacological results indicate that treatment with ethanol extract of the stems of Ageratina sternbergiana (DC.) RM King & H. Rob ``Zun Zun´´, at doses of 200 mg / kg is the one most effective anti-inflammatory. Phytochemical analysis was performed of the stems of the plant, which revealed the presence of sugars, flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, coumarins, tannins and amino acids.

The genus Baccharis is one of the most important sources of products in the natural medicine, are distributed in the North and South America and in our country in the high Andean areas, arousing the interest of their usage etnofarmacologico. The species Baccharis tricuneata (L. f.) Pers. "Taya", is used in traditional medicine in the antiinflammatory therapy in the form of poultices. The ethyl acetate extract was obtained from the ethanolic extract by successive fragmentations using solventsincreasing polarity. It carried out the identification of flavonoids in the extracts showing greater presence in the ethyl acetate extract. It was formulated and assessed the antiinflammatory activity of an ointment prepared from the extract of ethyl acetate to various concentrations. Pharmacological evaluation was performed by themethod of ear edema induced by Croton Oil. The cream to the 30% showed antiinflammatory activity of 71.43 %. It is attributed to the flavonoids the antiinflammatory activity found that there are already reports of his great power to stabilize membranes and oxidizing radicals.

The study of chaotic behavior in the dispersal and movement presented by free particles shielded against potential within half mesoscopic waveguide, we performed the analysis of the dimensionless Hamiltonian function retain workers in conjugate coordinates, representing and evaluating state trajectories in phase space with a topological path at fixed points of Poincare characteristic of the system, the origin x = 0 and x = ±∞, and its stability as a nonlinear dynamic system using the Hamilton equations of motion . By numerical analysis portrayed the autonomous function of Hamilton conservative nonintegrable due to potential perturbation within the system was applied, giving information to Stripper Arm the system was unstable and the orbits drawn by the state space, tend to asymptotic behavior on a characteristic point at x = 0, away from them there is no predictability of the development space for these particles, this means a smaller scale chaos to describe physical movement.

The study present to determine the asociation between small maternal height and vaginal delivered baby just born apgar. We revised perinatal clinical histories corresponding to parities ocurred from January 1st, 2003 to December 31st, 2003 in HRDT. During the study period 2785 births take place, howerer only 1781 were included according to the inclusion criteria. 1359 born from non-small maternal height (>1,5m), while 422 born from small mothers (≤ 1,5m). In the 285 newborns delivered by vaginal way from small mothers we found 7.7% with low apgar at 1st minute and 2.5% at 5th minute. In the newborn group from non-small mother, only 1123 were delivered by vaginal way, we found low apgar in 3,9% and 0,45% at first minute and 5th minute respectively. In Conclusions the vaginal birth, there is a higly significative corelation between small maternal height and low apgar in newborns, both at 1st and 5th minutes.
