Resumen
Primary tumors of the brain constitute a heterogeneous group of neoplasms with biological behavior and with a very different prognosis. Its incidence has increased in recent years in all age groups. A prospective descriptive study of 58 patients with primary brain tumors was performed, attended in the Radiotherapy office of the Vladimir Ilich Lenin Hospital Oncology in the period from November 2014 to May 2017, with the objective of determining the physical symptoms and Cognitive manifestations in patients treated for primary brain tumors. The variables of age and sex, histological diagnosis, cancer treatment, physical symptoms and cognitive manifestations were characterized. The age group between 40 and 59 years was the most affected (51.72%), being in the most frequent male sex this pathology (65.52%). The histological type that predominated was astrocytoma in 77.11%. Radiation therapy was used in 100% of patients, and concurrent to nimotuzumab in 43 patients. The most frequent physical symptoms were sleep disorders (39.28%), and within the cognitive manifestations identified visual problems reached 35%. The physical symptoms and cognitive manifestations produced, either by the primary tumor or by the cancer treatment in patients with primary brain tumors, are factors that negatively influence the quality of life of these patients.

Resumen
To present the great work of Benedetto Croce or summarize it, in its entirety, would be an difficult and complicated task. In this place, and without aim to be exhaustive, We only want to remember some of his main observations on the juridical phenomenon, this is a part of his dialectic system that has been object of deep critics. We believe that a superficial reading and focused only in the first years of his intellectual production can mislead those who want to approach the complex spiritual dynamics of Croce’s philosophy; because, certainly, it is possible to find a noble lesson, that is result of an intellectual evolution with a deep sense. We want to know if justice is placed in the economic or moral moment of the Croce’s dialectic of the Spirit. More over, the dynamics of the different moments of this dialectic thinking could make us to accept that the justice of the legal phenomenon is comparable with the only satisfaction of individual interests. It will be necessary to verify, therefore, if Croce surpasses or not the conception that has made him so famous: law-economy; philosophy of law-philosophy of economics.

Resumen
The article revisits and seeks to clarify and provide with new perspectives the debate between the theoretical approaches of four authors – Michel Villey, Brian Tierney, John Finnis and Javier Hervada – in their accounts of the contemporary formulation of the concept of “ius”. Although all authors analyzed in the paper share common thomistic roots in their respective argumentations on the essential meaning and content of the concept of “right”, they still differ in their accounts with regard to the understanding of Aquinas’s classical juridical realism, the relation between “law” and “right” and the role of subjective rights in history and in today’s juridical discourse. The paper seeks to highlight how such comparative perspective reveals not only the contrasts in the theoretical accounts of these authors with regard to the structural “locus” of the focal point of juridicity, but also renders manifest certain perspectives of integration of each approach with contributions achieved by the other interlocutors of the debate.

Resumen
Faced with the topic of non-existence or lack of originality of Portuguese legal thought, the article tries to show that there is a continuity line in the topics addressed in Portuguese legal reflection. The idea of justice is precisely that element present continuously in Portuguese legal thought to the present day. It is noteworthy to note, in addition, the scarce literature that exists in our country on this subject.

This paper empirically explores the effect of the Universal Child Allowance -a Conditional Cash Transfer Program recently launched in Argentina- in backwardness in school. Specifically, we evaluate whether children enrolled in the program improved their education gap, differentiating between children and adolescents. With propensity score as a prelude to the estimation of regression, we found preliminary evidence that affects the allocation of primary and secondary students differently. The results are robust to different uses of the different samples and comparison samples observation.

Resumen
The study of the relationship between the structure of the industry and market power has been one of the most discussed topics in microeconomic literature. In this research, we focus on the “New Empirical Industrial Organization” (NEIO) approach and particularly on the models developed by Bresnahan (1982) and Lau (1982), and Porter (1983) to analyse the effect of several mergers and acquisitions that took place in the US copper Industry during the period 1994-2009 on market power. We found that although the industry was highly concentrated, the results suggest that mergers and acquisitions had no effect on market power and the industry remained competitive during this period.

Resumen
This document presents an analysis of the effect of mergers on competition and prices, in the framework of a merger between two representative isotonic drinks producers. In particular, between Brand 3 and Brand 4. Given the descriptive analysis and the econometric excercise presented, it is possible to conclude that there is no evidence of a possible exploitative effect in the market as no price-increasing pressures were found as a result of the merger. This documents constitutes a relevant microeconometric tool to be used for the analysis of mergers in Colombia.

Resumen
Food inflation in Peru has a significant influence on total inflation, so the presence of second-round effects on core inflation may be high. This paper estimates the size of these second-round effects using a general equilibrium model for the Peruvian economy. The results indicate the absence of a significant second round effect on Peruvian inflation, given that food inflation does not play any role in the formation of inflation expectations and in the determination of wages.
