Since 2015, the two brothers that constitute the rap duo PNL have had a strong influence on a generation of young rappers from their neighbourhood, les Tarterêts (Corbeil-Essonnes, 91, France). PNL and their team have been building, in their lyrics, instrumentals and music videos, a poetic of hopelessness, of the sour taste of their history, the history of the vanquished as coined Kundera. The breaking point that these works have brought forward within the French rap scene can be understood as an invitation to find out, within the very filmic forms of some audiovisual productions from rap cultures, a specific experience of space, time and history. In other words, to trace back the modalities of the “audio-logo-visual” (Chion) presence of a regime of historicity, based on a specific spatial practice.

Three films from the last twenty-five years, Buenos Aires viceversa (1996), El abrazo partido (2004), and Ilusiones ópticas (2004), use the shopping centre as the setting for a cinematic fiction. The ways they stage this place allows us to draw a dividing line between a tradition of the arcade of European origin, an essentially horizontal space, characterized by passage, and the shopping mall of US origin, which establishes vertical relations epitomized by the device of the escalator. Based on literary texts and critical essays from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, we show how these films relate the opposition between horizontality and verticality to the representation of society and historical memory. The model of the shopping mall, a place of multicultural sociability that favors a search for one’s origins, looks indeed opposed to the shopping malls, whose globalized and stratified environment becomes the place of a palimpsest of memory, structured by erasures and resurgences of the past.

The purpose of this research is to identify the impressions and emotions that the photograph generates in people when exposed to an interpretative analysis. For this study, the photograph The firs Embrance by Mads Nissen 2020, winner of the World Press Photo 2021 contest, was analyzed. The research is experimental, using inductive-qualitative methodology. A questionnaire was randomly applied to citizens and the observation technique was used to understand the photographic codes. By nature we believe in photography and understand that any person, regardless of their economic, cultural and social stratum without formal education is able to understand and decode it correctly. The analysis of the reactions of the observers concludes that the photographic act in photojournalism does not end with the publication in the pages of the media, but awakens affective and emotional capacities in the observers.

The environmental (climate change), economic (recessions), and social (increase in poverty and inequality) crises have forced the need for a change of model and the development of global strategies to counteract their negative effects and orient towards a type of economy that is low in carbon emissions, efficient in the use of resources and energy, socially inclusive, preventive in the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services and that allows achieving sustainable development, which is how the concept of green economy arises. With a quantitative approach, using official databases and based on the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (2011) green growth framework, a Green Economic Growth Index for Mexico was constructed under the relativization function, which was estimated at the national, state, and geographic region levels, allowing for a deeper understanding of the green economy in the country. The results show an average national performance (0.4746), with the dimensions "Economic, demographic and social context for sustainable development," "Environmental dimension of quality of life," and "Natural asset base" having the best scores, while the dimension "Productivity of environmental resources and the economy" and "Economic opportunities and policy response" have the lowest scores. The analysis of variance results shows statistically significant differences by geographic regions, which calls for developing public, environmental, energy, and productive policies that consider the particular conditions of the country's regions.

The utility value of auditing public sector accounts is widely reported in the advanced and developing economies including Sub-Sahara Africa economies. Such reports claim that public sector financial audit influences transparency, probity, financial discipline, accountability, and voluntary tax compliances decisions. This study tests this widely acclaimed view by assessing the information content of the Auditor General’s (AG) report in voluntary tax compliance decisions in Ghana, a Sub-Sahara Africa nation. The assessment used a panel of 12 experts in a 2-round seeded decision email Delphi methodology. The panel of experts reached weak consensus that the AG’s report is an objective and a useful tool for assessing voluntary tax compliance behaviors and taxpayers’ decisions on the job retention of an indicted corrupt public official in the country; in assessing public institutions’ performance; fiscal deficits; the fight against corruption; and policy formulation and planning. Therefore, the AG’s report can be a powerful tool for resolving the incomplete information and the information risks of the Ghanaian taxpayer. It can also be useful for protecting the public purse, for preventing waste, fraud, embezzlement, and corruption in the management of Ghana’s public purse. This result is consistent with findings in Europe, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Uganda that public sector audit influences voluntary tax compliance decisions. So, the AG’s report has information content in voluntary tax compliance decisions in Ghana. Consequently, Ghana and the other Sub-Sahara Africa nations can use public sector financial audit as a useful and objective tool to improve voluntary tax compliance attitudes in their various economies because it can positively influence the availability of funds for public programs and services. This is particularly important in this COVID19 era when funding sources are scarce. Since the level of consensus among the panelists was somehow weak, further iterations are required to determine the stability of the responses. The study extends literature methodologically by using the email Delphi study to assess the information content of the AG’s report on voluntary tax compliance behaviors in Ghana.

The paper addresses the situation and trends of African countries to achieve the SDGs of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Africa has the most significant development challenges and the additional difficulty of addressing this process with remarkably expansive demographic dynamics that will double its population in the coming decades. The paper's objective is to assess the situation of African countries to achieve the SDGs and group them to identify similar situations and prospects to meet economic, social, environmental and institutional challenges implicit in them. Starting from a general analysis of the continent's situation and considering economic, social and environmental elements, the work delves into the state of each country regarding the achievement of the SDGs, taking for this the levels of progress achieved and the tendency towards the achievement of goals. With these variables, the analysis applies cluster analysis to assess which countries and regions of the continent are in a more and less favourable position concerning the achievement of the SDGs. Based on the analysis, it is possible to conclude that most countries with the best prospects are in North Africa. In general, the North and South of the continent have a favourable position for achieving the SDGs with a social and economic nature. Concerning the environmental SDGs, the Central African countries have the best prospects, although the economic and social situation is, in general, particularly unfavourable.

Andalusia is the largest olive oil producer in the world, a situation derived from both surface expansion and productive intensification, stimulated by the internationalisation of the economy. The most recent olive groves are characterised by their high density and complete mechanisation, in line with the results of technological change applied to industrial agriculture. In this paper, we ask what are the chances of these changes to prosper in areas where tradition dominates, such as the province of Jaén. Given that we are in what we consider to be the first symptoms of potentially drastic transformations, the methodology has focused on field work. The results have considered different possible models and their fundamental relationship with water availability. Among the conclusions, different limitations and weaknesses that this expansive process may entail from a territorial perspective have been highlighted.

It is commonly accepted that the majority of companies have started to introduce R&D activities and innovation to improve their exports, especially, after the appearance of the pandemic of COVID-19. The objective of this work is to analyze the effects of innovation on the export of the agri-food sector in Morocco through a study based on panel data covering the period 2007-2018 by exploiting a gravity model estimated by the Poisson Pseudo-Maximum Likelihood method (PPML). The results of our study showed that the export of the agri-food sector is positively influenced by the innovative factor of the country (patent filings) alongside the traditional factors of our model such as production, the wealth of partner countries and distance.

The 2019 health crisis emerged in an environment of injustice and inequality in all parts of the world. It has shown once again the severity of inequalities within most countries, especially those in the South. Most education institutions around the world are under enormous pressure to ensure continuity of educational plans by applying new technologies, which has posed a huge problem of fairness in access to technology and the availability of technological infrastructure in some countries, such as Morocco. This research tries to analyse the complex relationship between social justice and educational system, especially E-learning and blended education. The overarching question posed is how the educational system should change and be aligned with social justice in order to reduce inequality, discrimination and injustice. Whereas this is an ideal and challenging goal, which must be the target of all countries, especially the 21st century has begun with large social inequality and regional disparity. The methodology adopted was a mixed approach. We present a theoretical analysis of the relationship between social justice and education, as well as a quantitative analysis of data collected in a study conducted in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region of Morocco using a questionnaire administered to 133 families. The main conclusion of this study is that policymakers must put in place the means to reduce digital inequalities before the situation worse in the future, namely (i) provide digital facilities to every student, regardless of their socio-economic status; (ii) ensure a fundamental digital right by offering equal and fair access to digital technology, and (iii) encourage industrialisation and digitalisation of the economic system.

The recent COVID-19 pandemic crisis has led to the rapid digitalization which significantly causes changes the labour market structures. Although digitalization is often associated with higher productivity, however, the implications of automation may have some critical challenges to the labour market and future employment. This paper aims to explore the implications that pandemic-induced digitalization may have on the labour market. By employing the systematic literature review approach, this paper will gather the relevant past literature evidences to determine the consequences and economic benefits of the digital transformation that has been triggered by the COVID-19 crisis. The main findings from this review indicated that the pandemic crisis has likely resulted the acceleration of digitalization and changes the nature of work in many occupations. Next, the results of the review further pointed out the implications of digitalization in employment by causing job displacement, resulting youth unemployment, causes diminishing demand for low-skill workers, and increasing inequality. However, there are suggestion that there could be positive benefits from the digital transformation experienced. Hence, a future research is encourage to explore the public policy solutions that can be implemented to support an inclusive and efficient digital transformation.
