Resumen
Starting from the theme of the event, held by the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in October 2017, I outline a reflection on the trinomial "poetry, peace and war" based on the current Brazilian society, which rapidly loses some of the democratic achievements twenty years. How do Brazilian poets live this moment, how do they relate to it? To answer, I concentrated on a quick analysis of some poems by Donizete Galvão.

Resumen
War is a theme that reveals the fundamental poetry feature. What I want in this article is to show how poetry, by reading a small set of Iberian poems about the Spanish Civil War, is not limited to constructing the reference to its theme but refers to itself.

Resumen
This paper proposes a critic of the traditional notions of pace and war, as well as the very concept of poetry. It analyses the war structure that presides over the civil order and its economic, metaphysical and even poetic dimensions. It is redefined the function of poetry in an attempt to overcome the mere cultural game by restoring its unitive function.

Resumen
The political contents that were transmitted during the acts of celebrating independence in Nicaragua between 1866 and 1895, can be divided into two periods, the first corresponds to the years from 1866 to 1875, where independence had brought equality between Nicaraguans, but these must be moralized, practice patriotism and work in order to cement political stability. Likewise, the arrival of the Central American union was long for. Between 1877 and 1895 the commemorative speeches of September 15 added political concepts that highlighted the "liberating" role of education. They promoted national unity and the ethnic regeneration of Nicaraguans, as the role of national hero José Dolores Estrada and the National Campaign is rescued. Economic progress and political stability brought by conservative governments are also exalted. These perorations served to manifest a class vision and maintain the prevailing form of domination. On the other hand, the texts published by the Nicaraguan press on the celebrations of September 15 during the period 1903-1928, expose the various political-cultural influences that existed at that time to address the issue of national identity and analyze the main problems which Nicaragua was going through, mainly that of the American occupation. These positions went from nationalism, anti-imperialism and unionism

Resumen
The teaching of Humanities can be traced back to the Middle Ages with the introduction of Trivium and Quadrivium, with the modern ages, a Copernican twist is added in the teaching and it becomes more focused in the development of reason as opposed to just instruction. None the less, the fundamental end is not lost, it’s in every moment the formation of an integral, ethical, critical, human who is also compromised with analyzing reality.
However, the present of the University of Costa Rica, along with other superior education institutions is that they are now receiving students from Generation Z. This are students that are highly influenced by image, globalization, immediacy and technology. The previous elements imply new challenges in humanistic education, therefore the importance of philosophy of education as a discipline that can illuminate new roads of critical thinking in the task of humanities

Resumen
This essay constitutes an introductory interpretation about impoverishment and social movements in Costa Rica, beginning in the 1980s. To carry out the analysis, the phenomena of pauperization of the middle sectors, the proliferation of the new poor and the problems associated with exclusion are studied. In a second moment, the social movements are approached, based on the problems that marked the period: the teachers' strike in 1995, the protests against the Combo del ICE in 2000 and the mass demonstrations against the TLC in 2006-2007. From the perspective of recent history, sources based on the Programa del Estado de la Nación, written press and texts already published are consulted. In the end, it concludes in the recognition of the complex Costa Rican social reality, characterized by the widening of the gaps between rich and poor; and the increase in discontent expressed in street protests.

Resumen
: This article presents the constructed and used methodology on the investigation project called “The reconstruction of the landscape of Puntarenas and Limón, as historical centers of the Costa Rican tourism, from oral sources. 1930-2012.” The information needed to fulfill an interpretation of the Costa Rican tradicional tourist spaces from its locals’ perspectives was collected with this methodology.
In this case, it is of relevant interest to reconstruct the landscape in a experiential way. This to make possible the most completed recreation of such landscapes from its locals’ point of view, who most of times are not aware of the different transformations and had only assumed them, so that the youngest people are not going to have any references to it.
We considered that it is established in a small and methodological input that could be retorted in different spaces with distinct thematics.

This article synthesizes the perception of nine Social Work students on reading comprehension and written production based on their realities, expectations and experiences in the thematic. It was the product of one of the stages of an exploratory qualitative research Comprensión lectora y producción escrita en la población estudiantil de Trabajo Social carried out by one professor from Social Work career and the other from Philology career, in the period of 2015 to 2017. With diverse techniques of information gathering and analysis, it is possible to demonstrate that academic literacy is determined by the particular characteristics of the students, their cultural capital and their study habits, as well as by the way in which the teaching population introduces this population into the culture academic of its area of knowledge
