Resumen
The child development evaluation test for children between 0 months and 6 years (EDIN II) is an updated version of the Costa Rican EDIN development screening test. The objective was to analyze the EDIN II test, to continue to implement and screen the integral development of girls and boys. It was a descriptive quantitative-qualitative study. Data were collected through the expert judgment technique and the application of the test to a sample of 380 children. The main results obtained concerning the test were: classification according to the semaphore system, inclusion of a new age group of 12 to 15 months and 15 to 18 months, incorporation of the corrected age for under 2 years old children, and separation of the neurological assessment. On the other hand, the specific changes required by the items for which it was necessary to eliminate, make changes in the form and also the creation of new ones that contemplated development milestones, leaving 287 items in 5 areas of development and 20 groups old. For the instructive, it was necessary to specify better the execution of the items and to include expected answers that were not contemplated. And finally, some materials merited being replaced by others with better characteristics to evaluate the behaviors. It concluded to submit the test to subsequent validation processes so it can be included in the public policies for children.

Resumen
Objetivo: comprender las percepciones de los adolescentes escolares de sexo masculino sobre el cuidado de su salud. Métodos: estudio descriptivo, con abordaje cualitativo, realizado con 32 estudiantes de una escuela pública estadual del municipio de Recife-PE. Para la recolección de datos se empleó una entrevista semiestructurada, siendo las declaraciones descompuestas y organizadas mediante la técnica del Discurso del Sujeto Colectivo. Resultados: Surgieron cinco Ideas Centrales resultado de los DSC: Busca de los adolescentes por aclaraciones de dudas y cuestiones de salud, Actuación de la escuela en la estrategia de educación en salud, Percepción de los adolescentes en relación al concepto de salud, Comportamiento de los adolescentes en el cuidado a la salud, Busca por mejoras en las condicione de salud. Conclusión: Fue evidenciado que la participación de la familia, escuela y profesionales de salud, especialmente los de enfermería ejercen importante influencia en el proceso de formación del adolescente. En este sentido, es fundamental la implicación de estos actores para el fortalecimiento de acciones de promoción de la salud y autocuidado de los adolescentes.

Resumen
The objective of this study was to identify the occurrence of post-cesarean surgical site infection in a maternity hospital. This is a cross-sectional retrospective study with a quantitative approach developed in a reference public maternity in obstetrics located in the Northeast Region of Brazil. The sample consisted of 53 medical records of women with post-cesarean surgical site infection from 2010 to 2013, and the data collection instrument was a structured form. The data were analyzed in Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20.0 presented in descriptive form with frequencies and percentages. The results showed post-cesarean surgical site infection rate of 2.92%; the users presented as low risk factors schooling, occurrence of urinary infection, hypertension, obesity and smoking. It was concluded that the post-cesarean surgical site infection rate and identified risk factors underscore the need for prior investigation and registration of these with preventive care of orientation and preparation of the users in a safe way with protocols that guide more uniform conduct in the treatment of these infections.

Resumen
To describe the knowledge of university students in the identification and conduct of domestic violence against women. This is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, carried out with 32 students who studied the last two semesters of undergraduate courses in physiotherapy, nursing, dentistry and medicine. The data analysis technique was used for the data collection of the semi-structured interview and for data analysis. The data showed that university students present incipient knowledge about the identification and conduct of domestic violence against women, in addition to pointing out the feeling of unpreparedness in the identification and management of this aggravation. It is concluded that university students in the undergraduate health courses, still in their training process, need to have a more in-depth knowledge about the subject of domestic violence against women in a transdisciplinary way, with skills and abilities that the enable them to act in the confrontation and referral of women in situations of violence.

Resumen
The objective of the study was to identify the health vulnerabilities of garimpeiros of an Amazon region. This is an exploratory and qualitative study, carried out in a garimpo in the Legal Amazon, in the interior of Rondônia, Brazil, in March 2017. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and the empirical data obtained were transcribed in full and submitted to content analysis. It was evidenced that the garimpeira activity amplifies the vulnerability situation of the worker, approaching him of situations of illness, especially for the non adoption of preventive measures. Despite the vulnerabilities that the activity implies, hazardous conditions and unhealthy work, the garimpeiros do not wish to leave the garment. The vulnerability of these garimpeiros is aggravated by their lack of knowledge about risk factors, such as direct and prolonged contact with water, sun exposure and the destruction of IPE, because they do not have health services in place and do not perform safe self-care practices. At the end of the study, it was noted that the existence of the current policies of the sector, do not guarantee living conditions, health and access to public services, which supports the vulnerability of these workers.

Resumen
The objective of this study is to investigate women's knowledge about obstetric violence and verify the forms of obstetric violence experienced by women during the labor process. This is a descriptive qualitative study, carried out with 20 women in the Maternity Hospital of Philanthropic Bay. Structured interviews were conducted, which were analyzed through content analysis. As a relevant result it was obtained that most of the interviewees are not aware of the term obstetric violence. The other reported situations were verbal and non-verbal violence, non-consensual invasive procedures, and gaps in care during childbirth. It is concluded that it is urgent to implement measures to ensure the assistance and humanized strategies to empower women to be protagonists in the process of childbirth.

Resumen
The work process of nurses in emergencies is a source of stress and brings to the surface the weaknesses of the professional in terms of feelings related to suffering and daily experience with death. This, as a consequence of the interaction and the necessary implication for assistance and decision making by the severity of the patient and the family. Therefore, this study aims to know the confrontation of the nurse in the care before the death process, in an emergency. Documentary research, conducted with eight nurses in an emergency at a private hospital in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil, between May and June 2015. The data were analyzed in light of Bardin's content analysis and Travelbee's interpersonal relationship. Two categories emerged: The death experienced by nurses in an emergency, the Human and the technician in the confrontation of death in an emergency. It is concluded that the nurse in dealing with death in the middle of the restoration care of life is limited and needs emotional and rational protection for the care of that clientele in that specific environment.

Resumen
The breastfeeding university students face challenges concerning the fulfillment of different roles, this is how this study tried to determine which factors influence the duration of breastfeeding in this population. This article corresponds to descriptive qualitative research, with a population of ten university students who breast-fed their sons and daughters. For data collection, the semi-structured interview was used and triangulating the data obtained, the theory of I. King and the contributions of the researchers. The results indicated that university students perceive that breastfeeding is a right, a benefit, and the best food they can provide to their children. The family or friends are usually those who raise the idea of abandoning breastfeeding, also, the family environment directly influences the duration of breastfeeding. It is concluded that the success in breastfeeding of university students mothers will be influenced by different personal, interpersonal and social factors that are dynamic and related to each other, besides, to support networks, health education, accompaniment and actions in favor of breastfeeding the university institution and their family environments.

Resumen
Resumen:Actualmente existe una disminución de los estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria que optan por cursar carreras universitarias relacionadas con las STEM. Este artículo describe una acción de promoción de estas disciplinas a través del Proyecto PreCampus, consistente en la oferta de talleres científico-técnicos a centros educativos de enseñanza secundaria. Por medio de encuestas a los alumnos participantes se han analizado los resultados de la actividad durante el curso académico 2017-18. En estos resultados, los estudiantes han valorado positivamente la asistencia a este tipo de actividades y se ha encontrado que las mujeres tienen menos interés en la ingeniería y arquitectura que los hombres. Este tipo de acciones motivan a los estudiantes, proporcionándoles una visión más cercana y aplicada de las STEM en general, y de la ingeniería y la arquitectura en particular.Palabras clave: Enseñanza ingeniería; divulgación científica; innovación educativa; promoción de la ingeniería Abstract:There is a reduction of high school students who choose to pursue university careers related to STEM. This article describes an action to promote these disciplines through the PreCampus Project, through the offer of scientific-technical workshops to schools and secondary schools. Using surveys to the participating students, the results of the activity during the academic year 2017-18 have been analyzed. The students value the attendance to this type of activities positively but it has been found that women have less interest in engineering and architecture than men. This type of actions motivates students, providing them with a closer and more applied vision of STEM in general, and of engineering and architecture in particular.Keywords: Engineering education; scientific dissemination; educational innovation; engineering promotion

Resumen
Resumen:El artículo tiene por objeto reconocer la concepción que los distintos actores del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje poseen sobre el Patrimonio y sus características. Todo esto con el fin de determinar si existe carencia de profundidad en ella y sus efectos sobre la enseñanza. Se utilizó el método mixto, con una muestra no probabilística intencionada de 450 estudiantes de 2º ciclo de educación básica de Valparaíso, distribuidos según tipo de dependencia que posee el país, más 6 entrevistas a profesores, 6 a directores y 2 a agentes culturales de la ciudad.Los datos recopilados dan cuenta que los discursos de docentes y directores de escuelas asignan al Patrimonio un valor identitario y por su parte, los gestores culturales tienen una visión holística ligada a la multidimensionalidad. La diversidad en cuanto a la profundidad y descripción conceptual de los agentes educativos, influye de forma directa en la manera en que los estudiantes construyen el conocimiento de la ciudad.Palabras Claves: Didáctica del Patrimonio, Patrimonio cultural, enseñanza- aprendizaje. Abstract:The purpose of the article is to recognize the conception that the different actors of the teaching-learning process have about the Heritage and its characteristics. All this in order to determine if there is a lack of depth in it and its effects on teaching. The mixed method was used, with an intentional non-probabilistic sample of 450 students of the 2nd cycle of basic education of Valparaiso, distributed according to the type of dependency that the country possesses, plus 6 interviews to professors and 6 to directors, and 2 cultural agents of the city.The data collected show that the discourses of teachers and school directors assign heritage an identity value and, on the other hand, cultural managers have a holistic vision linked to multidimensionality. The diversity in terms of the depth and conceptual description of the educational agents, directly influences the way in which the students construct the knowledge of the city.Keywords: Heritage Didactics, Cultural Heritage, teaching-learning.
