The purpose of this research was to analyze the speeches of university students around the concept of romantic love in relationships, to identify the perception people have of women and men within the emotional bond and visualize the collective and individual imaginary shared with the prevailing hegemonic  culture. A qualitative methodology court was used and was chosen by the technical group approach, in order to meet the multiplicity of perspectives, ideas, knowledge and beliefs of a group of people made up of four women and four men, respectively, with an age range between 25 and 30 years from different professional areas. The findings revealed that heteronormative continues playing a traditionalist ideology about the love of patriarchal origin, which refers to the culturally shared beliefs about the psychosocial characteristics considered prototypical and exclusive between men and women. Although the speeches also show an idyllic representation that transits from a conservative vision to a modern one that tries to distort the disguise of orthodox morality that over time has preserved and perpetuated in people the myth of romantic love.

This article ponders over the gender notions of women in the soap operas. La Candidata, a famous Mexican soap opera, is used in this study because it is an uncommon example of a show, presented to the Mexican television, that portrays how men use the Mexican political system to preserve a kleptocratic government, negotiate with the drug trafficking, and use violence as a form of political repression. In contrast, the telenovela depicts Regina Barcenas, the protagonist, as a woman whose behavior corresponds to the imaginary ideal of political women in Mexican society. Therefore, it represents political women as individuals who are expected to put aside their desire for power and ambition, and instead use their authority to exercise their role as the mothers of the community. La Candidata does not seek to break the gender stereotypes since itmaintains, through these political women, the separation of the public and private sphere, and presents political women in traditional roles.

This article is a case study that describes the characteristics of gender culture of university students. The purpose is to define the socio-cultural factors involved in the integration of self-concept which influences the choice of college studies. First the theoretical framework was created in order to specify professional programs considered to be feminine or masculine. Four students, a man and a woman which were studying careers considered masculine, and a male and a female studying programs considered feminine, this selection allowed to compare results. A qualitative approach that used analytical —synthetic and theoretical—deductive methods was used; tools for collecting information are: history of life and psychological tests. As result there is a comparative diagram, which displays the influence of the family environment as part of the socio-cultural factors according to the theory of Bourdieu (1987), to choose a professional program.

Josefina Vicens in her novels innovated in the aesthetic space in several elements. When presenting a new topic that broke with the theme of the armed movement, when she presented new questions about middle class families in Mexico City and exposing dilemmas about literary theories and emptiness. In this context we can say that in her texts she reproduced and questioned the patriarchal morality, where she approached descriptively and critically the forms of interaction and reproduction of the genre. Therefore, for the purposes of this analysis The Empty Book and The False Years are reviewed as texts that propose new narratological questions and in turn, as technologies of gender, can reproduce and, we say, make criticism of traditional masculinity. In this context, the questions of the aforementioned masculinity are analyzed, which José García, Poncho and Alfonso Fernandez present.
