Resumen
The Educational Innovation Project "Multimedia views on resilience and education", developed in the academic year 2015/2016 at the University of Malaga (Spain), arises in the context of the economic crisis that our country has been suffering since 2008 and which is especially affecting children, reaching unsustainable levels of risk of poverty and social exclusion in this population. This educational and communicative initiative, with an unequivocal dialectic, dialogical and democratizing accent, brings together teachers from the fields of education, communication and psychology, students from the grades of Social Education, Advertising and Public Relations and Audiovisual Communication, together with social entities as well with the aim of producing a series of multimedia videos (spot, corporate and web) and a short documentary film in order to make known and reflect on the processes of social exclusion and resilience of Malaga's children.

Resumen
This paper presents an approach to the identification of aspects associated with the school dropout of the careers of teachers and bachelors in Biological Sciences during the period 1991-2001 in the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the National University of Tucumán, Argentina. The study population consisted of students enrolled in these careers during the years 1990 and 1991 (bachelor's degree) and during the year 1996 (faculty). The Likert scale was used as an instrument to measure favorable, unfavorable, and neutral attitudes toward careers. The results indicate that the reasons given for dropping out of studies are related to personal causes (73%), 9% alleged economic problems and 5% discrimination problems. Interestingly, our data indicate that the percentage of students who cite personal causes shows a very irregular record of academic performance.

Resumen
This study aims to analyze the scientific production of Brazil and Portugal on the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education. The methodology adopted consisted of the analysis of master's dissertations and doctoral theses that address the voices and experiences of disabled students. The students' voices reveal that, although increasingly inclusive practices are mentioned in both countries, these actions are still insufficient to guarantee their permanence and participation in university life. These indicators can help to guide the development of policies and practices that respond to the challenges of inclusion in higher education.

Resumen
The development of scientific activity in Mexico between 1821 and the Porfiriato (1877-1911) had very little support. In particular, in this research we analyze the Botanical Chair after 1821, especially from 1843 to 1859, period in which it was linked with the Mining College. in order to understand its evolution through the public acts of the College reflected in press and brochures. The methodology resumes the social studies of science that relate the history of education with nineteenth-century science. The results indicate that the Chair functioned in spite of the socio-political crisis of the country, and they qualify the vision of the traditional historiography that supposes a null development of the scientific activity in that historical period.

Resumen
In spite of the changes in the habits and behaviour of 21st century students in terms of interactivity and flexibility, the traditional masterclass methodology still prevails in the university environment; this means that it is necessary to deepen both the application of new methodologies and the students' assessment of their usefulness. In this context, the main objective of this work consists of analyzing the application of the flipped classroom methodology. In order to achieve the planned objective, we have worked with different groups of students by means of two experiences, role playing and competition. The results obtained from an ad-hoc questionnaire have allowed us to observe direct positive effects that have affected the improvement in the perception of learning and student satisfaction of the subjects where it was implemented; besides, this methodology has reinforced teamwork within a relaxed and motivating climate, increasing dynamism and interaction in the classroom.

Resumen
In Mexico, unlike other countries, most frontier scientific research is carried out in public universities. This link began in 1910 with the creation of the National University of Mexico, whose objectives included the development of basic science. Using a systemic approach, this work shows that this mission was initially unfeasible due to the excessive opening granted to foreign investors during the Porfiriato (1877-1911). The Mexican Revolution fought off this economic structure and it was university autonomy (1929) that legally granted freedom to develop frontier science, leading to the institutionalization of the corresponding scientific research and the professionalization of the physical-mathematical sciences.

Resumen
The author analyzes the assessment of doctorate programs within the framework of the National Quality Postgraduate Program (PNPC) in order to identify under which criteria the professional doctoral degree is justified by means of a comparison with the research PhD. Two trends in the definition of doctoral education are identified from the documentary review: one oriented towards harmonization and the other towards the diversification of doctorates. The PNPC has chosen to stick to this last trend, by proposing a professional doctorate that differs from the research PhD by valuing the learning acquired both in academia and in the workplace; in this way, applied research is promoted for the development of professions and the link between graduates and the productive sector

Resumen
This research report seeks to characterize the school trajectory of 513 students enrolled in a public institution at higher secondary level located in Tlaxcala, Mexico, based on the analysis of the family structure, its efficiency and the average. Four types of school trajectories were found: optimal, acceptable, lagging behind and at risk. Most students were in acceptable and optimal school trajectories. The lagging and at-risk trajectories concern mainly women. The knowledge of the problems faced by students during their school journey allows teachers and principals to establish intervention strategies for accreditation and classroom work.
