Context: The article presents the friction coefficient calculation for pressure pipes, from Newton-Raphson numerical method, under JavaScript source code for Android 4.0 or higher. Methodology: The code development is based on Colebrook-White model for turbulent flows. The app also establishes the friction coefficient for laminar flows from the Poiseuille equation and determines the range for the enter flow in a transition zone (unstable flow). An algorithm of successive approximations was implemented for non-linear equation solution based on the relative roughness and Reynolds number. Results: In the Newton-Raphson method, if the initial value moves away from zero or presents different inflection points, the probability of divergence of the method increases significantly. To overcome this anomaly, a friction coefficient equal to 0.015 was proposed as initial (seed) value; thereby we guarantee the convergence for turbulent flows with an approximation of 0.0000001. The values calculated by the app were calibrated with the Excel analysis tool (Goal Seek). Conclusion: The app is available for free in Google Play Store, and is a tool to support educational processes and the professional field.

Objective: This paper presents the development and manufacture of a gas microsensor whose operation is based on variations in electrical conductivity in the presence of certain gases. To use these sensors in portable equipment such as gas monitors, the power used to keep the film sensitive to the operating temperature is required to be very low. The results of this development provide with a platform for the manufacture of gas microsensors that allow different types of sensor films can be incorporated. Methodology: The developed microsensor consists of a thin fil of SnO2 deposited on a micro-machined silicon substrate. The proposed design was carried out by simulations of mechanical and thermal behavior. The procedure included microfabrication operations, and then, the electrical characterization was performed and the sensitivity to gaseous ammonia was tested. Results: Microfabrication was carried out satisfactorily (although this work does not detail all the steps of the process), and a high rate of well-formed sensors per sheet was achieved. The behavior of the sensor in the presence of different concentrations of gaseous ammonia in air was characterized and resulted in a linear response for concentrations between 6 ppm to 50 ppm, and the latter is the permissible limit of exposure. Conclusions: A low consumption (50 mW) SnO2 gas microsensor was successfully developed based on previous simulations. In relation to future work, the developed micromachined platform with the built-in heater will allow the use of different sensor films.

Context: Stressed rocks produce acoustic emission signals. Acoustic emission and seismic information are complementary in their applications as well as on their theoretical basis. Thus, studying characteristic frequencies in acoustic emission signals is relevant to understanding the seismic wave propagation on the Earth. Method: A uniaxial compression test was performed on cylindrical samples of andesite rock, which were stressed up to breakage. Acoustic emission signals were recorded during the test. Frequency analysis in these signals may be carried in the context of an elementary seismic focus model. This model describes the fracture advance and propagation during brittle material fracture. The corner frequency is obtained from the Fourier spectrum of the signals, conveniently represented in log scale. This parameter accounts for the size of fissures as damage progresses when the material is stressed.   Results: The corner frequency was determined on a first analysis. On a second analysis, the signals were filtered on different bands with the Wavelet Transform and the corresponding wavelet energy b-value was obtained. Conclusions: Studying the evolution of the wavelet energy b-value in different frequency bands allowed the determination of characteristic frequencies which can be associated with different fracture regimes in rocks.

Mexican soup operas produced by Televisa have been constantly successful, even under the onslaught of competition. The present article intends, as a central objective, to define the factors that have caused the permanence of the message and the viewer audience, especially female, at soap operas on mexican open television signal. For this purpose, a qualitative research was carried out, which in the theoretical-methodological field started from a documentary - analytical approach, developing three fronts of analysis: At first place according to a historical - documentary cut, going to authors who have worked the history of melodrama, radio drama and mexican soup operas: Trejo Silva (2011), Thomasseau (1989), Llorente (2003), Mejía (1989) and Bolaños (2003). Secondly, from the visibility of women as an active public viewer and the preservation of conservative roles at soap operas´ stories: Alegría de la Colina (2012), Roura (1993), Martín Barbero (1987), Ana María Fadul (1988) and Páramo (2003). Finally, from an interdisciplinary theoretical approach between the sociological theory and the elements that have historically defined the plot of mexican soap operas, its permanence is explained under the theoretical fundaments proposed by Fernández and Páxman (2000), as well as Charles Tilly (2000). In conclusion, we observe a faithful and captive audience on the mexican open television signal; its preservation is related to a persistent pattern, related to poverty, marginalization and inequality, common to broad sectors of mexican population - especially women -, which has fostered a historical - generational loyalty to television, especially soap operas; and, from the soap opera message, the repetition and reproduction of elements, specially the narrative structure, which perpetuate differences, facilitate interest and keeps track of the story, placing Televisa as the king of soap operas at the mexican open television signal.

The objective of this work was to describe the perception of school coexistence from the viewpoint of the families of the students. As theoretical support some authors like Colombo (2011), Chaux (2013), Zaitegui (2006), Ramírez (2016), López de Mesa, Et al., (2013) and Valdes & Urías (2010) were taken. Regarding the methodological aspects, the instruments were adapted from the ones proposed by Ortega and Del Rey (2002). The sample was non-probabilistic, the criteria for inclusion was being father of family of the students registered from first to fifth grade in the municipal official institution in Sincelejo- Colombia, also to assit to a general call, where only 58 family representatives made act of presence who are constituted in the sample. Data analysis was carried out through the use of descriptive statistics, the results show a favorable perception in the relationship between teachers and students, and however, among students the situation is different, presenting a high percentage of fights, nicknames and insults. And the breach for norms, are situations that disfavor the school climate, however, most conflicts are associated with a small group of students with disruptive violent behaviors and mistreatment, which affects the classroom climate. Faced with these situations, families suggest the need to implement a strategy for the integral improvement of coexistence that strengthens citizen competencies to guarantee an increase in the quality of coexistence that strengthens citizen competencies to guarantee an increase in the quality of coexistence.

This article presents a theoretical structure in which is proposed a first approach to a model for the inclusion of people with hearing and visual disabilities in the training of researchers, through universal design, curricular adaptations and the use of the individual document of curricular adaptation. The epistemological foundation corresponds to the deductivist-rationalist approach and the procedural sequence was developed from the observation, delimitation of the empirical structure, analysis of the problem, study of the theories, formulation of hypotheses, construction of the theoretical model, logical validation- and the derivation of guidelines for the execution of the corresponding adaptations, which are based on the social and particular realities of the context, as well as the approach of inclusive education as conception and purpose. Authors such as García (2004), Duk and Loren (2010), Rodríguez et al (2012), Feliz and Ricoy (2002), Booth and Ainscow (2011) theoretically base this article. The model resulting from the deductive process proposes the training for researchers from the competency-based approach, inclusive education as well as the equality and equalization of opportunities inherent to it, so that it is feasible that those with visual and auditory disabilities can participate actively in the investigation.

The teaching strategies used by teachers in biology classes for students to learn are diverse, from those recommended to promote cognitive skills to those that help to understand natural phenomena. For the development of this work, the teaching strategies proposed by Díaz and Hernández (2002) were considered. The investigation has a descriptive scope. In addition, its specific objective is to identify the strategies used in classes of biological evolution by teachers, located in the city of Maracaibo (Venezuela). Non-probabilistic type sampling was used for convenience, constituted by a total of 24 teachers, who work in the private high school. Located in the parish of Juana de Avila, specifically in the northern area of Maracaibo, for the following points: Avenida Fuerzas Armadas, Milagro Norte and Urbanización la Trinidad. Taken into account under the following criteria: Bachelor of Education Mention Biology, located in the city of Maracaibo (Venezuela), active in pedagogical work and with a minimum of two years of experience teaching biological evolution classes in the field of Biology at the high school level. The technique used to collect the data was a survey; using the instrument with estimation scale, with four alternative answers. The illustrations and questions interspersed, had the highest percentage for the Always option and the graphs presented the highest percentage for the Never option and with a lower arithmetic mean.
