The platformization and algorithmic logic scenario provides new socio-political challenges for the participation of collective actions on the internet as it "colonializes" (Couldry, 2019) and intensifies the dispute for directing and standardizing collective attention (Couldry, 2010; Citton, 2017). However, if there are media organizations and economic groups controlling the internet business model and hierarchizing the topics of interest, there are also voices that seek visibilities for local causes in counterflow to the attentional dynamics established in the public sphere. Part of an ongoing research project on human attention and participation, this article aims to discuss the scenario of use of digital technologies that, in a controversial way, potentiate disputes and also visibilities while imposing obstacles to the effective exercise of democracy and participation by voices that seek to achieve local social changes. By discussing the media structure and digital technologies guided by the expansion of capitalism, we propose reflections on the dynamics of attention from the Habermasian public sphere and the proposal of "oppositional public sphere" (Caballero, 2020), indicating possible theoretical paths for understanding the paradigm of collective actions and social movements today

In view of the unfolding of the "CPI of Covid" in 2021, this research aims to focus on the conversations of Twitter users about the anti-corruption theme, based on the #bolsonaroincorruptível, a hashtag that emerged as a reaction to testimonials that linked the figure of Jair Bolsonaro to corruption in the case of the purchase of vaccines for Covid-19. The data was collected by Netlytic and as analysis methodology, we opted for the Social Network Analysis (SRA), from, mainly, Recuero et al (2018), as well as by the Discourse Analysis, focusing on the concept of discursive memory, (Orlandi 2020; Foucault 2009), for the most relevant tweets of the network found. As main results, we highlight the formation of "discursive bubbles", from mass shots, but with low conversation among users. The main discourses that circulated were related to attacks on the media and the CPI, recalling the discourse of these instances as corrupt, and, mainly, resuming the figure of PT and Lula as corrupt, and Bolsonaro, by negation, should oppose the former president, his "arch-enemy"

The article investigates the profile of users of the e-Cidadania portal (Federal Senate) with the greatest number of support in their proposals. The hypothesis that guides the research is that those with greater digital capital have greater power of influence in digital environments and, therefore, achieve more support on the platform. The accumulation of this capital, in particular, is observed in contemporary societies and requires the individual to obtain material devices - such as access to technological artifacts, internet connection - and intangible elements, such as socio-technical and educational elements that allow the individual to acquire digital skills indispensable in contemporary times. The research used as a method the prosopographic analysis of the 10 proponents that appear in the ranking of those who received the most support for their ideas in e-Cidadania, a platform of the Federal Senate developed to offer citizens possibilities of collaborative production of laws. The analyzed users have high schooling and digital footprints that reveal high digital capital, confirming the initial hypothesis

This article seeks to weave preliminary lines about care work in the era of "digital plataformization". From the review of concepts, from labor relations with gender to the digital economy (from a Marxist feminist perspective) and its imbrications with the care labor market, the objective is to analyze how digital plataformization acts in cases of care work. As an analysis methodology, after the construction of the theoretical framework, we use the observation of two digital platforms that provide, in Brazil, care services in an autonomous way, and this observation is confronted with data already produced (secondary data) about the female presence in the labor market, formal and informal. The results obtained show that the plataformization of care work increases the disparities in remuneration and gender, long existing in capitalist relations of production and consumption, considering that they accentuate gender, class and race inequalities. It is concluded, in the end, that the lack of regulation of digital markets serves as a catalyst for female labor precariousness, preventing economic and social development towards professional valorization

This paper aims to analyse the racist biases present in socio-technical networks, especially those present in algorithms, bringing it closer to ethical debates in information science, from the methodological approach of literature review. Discriminatory racial biases have proved to be another way of reinforcing inequalities that already exist in society insofar as they corroborate racism that starts to take the form of algorithmic racism. Racism is understood as a fundamental structure of society and has a fundamental role in capitalism which is now configured as data capitalism. Consequently, it reflects on the way technological tools are developed. In this way, then, software can act to deepen inequalities and its biases are masked by the belief in technological neutrality. It is concluded that, despite not being the only form of discrimination present in socio-technical networks, algorithmic racism plays an important role in maintaining racial inequalities in a feedback relationship. Finally, possible elements are presented that aim to change the order present in the algorithms. These elements aim to bring more equity and responsibility in the process of their development

The heterogeneous and contradictory structures of global capitalism have been shaping the social meanings about Digital Health in many ways and, thereby, its development and regulation as well. For a better understanding of these issues, in this literature review we highlight that these structures include certain subjective dimensions that must be investigated in more detail. For this purpose, we analyze how Digital Health becomes a space both for the expansion of human potential and for the intensification of these structural contradictions. We discuss how the modes of capitalist governmentality would be updated along with these movements, subjectively shaping pathologies, patients and health care. We analyze how these processes can unfold into behavioral techniques that can be embedded in health and wellness devices and applications, as well as their consequences and potential risks, which requires regulatory attention along with social participation

Digital technologies have brought significant changes in the ways which electoral campaigns or social mobilization can be thought of. In studies on the subject that consider the role of algorithms and digital platforms, analyzes based on the notion of modulation are recurrent, especially as described by Deleuze in the “Post-Scriptum on Control Societies” (1992). This aspect, however, is part of a broader philosophical concept, and unfolding it can point to new possibilities for analytical paths in moments of crisis. In this article, we propose to map some conceptual fields related to modulation, in order to con-tribute to the opening in the ways to look at it
