Introduction: Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a neuroendocrine tumor that produces hypersecretion of gastric acid and peptic ulcer. Therefore, the review was carried out with the objective of describing the main laboratory and imaging diagnostic methods in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.Development: a bibliographic review was carried out with the descriptors in Spanish and English "Zollinger-Ellison syndrome", "neuroendocrine tumor" and gastrinoma, taken from the descriptors in health sciences (DeCS / MeSH), in Google databases. Academic, SciELO and National Library of Medicine. As results, it was obtained that the laboratory methods are fasting basal serum gastrin, which is not reliable due to its alteration in different diseases, gastric pH, excludes secondary hypergastrinemias, and basal acid gastric secretion, which differentiates the forms of hypergastrinemia. These laboratory tests are complementary to each other, and to perform them, the intake of proton pump inhibitors must be suspended. Other tests include the secretin stimulation test, which confirms hypergastrinemia, and the calcium stimulation test, which diagnoses tumors >1 mm that express calcium receptors. Imaging methods are essential for tumor localization. The first imaging technique to be performed due to its high sensitivity and specificity is 111In-octreotide scintigraphy, which locates tumors not detected with other examinations and allows differential diagnosis with hypervascularized lesions. Conclusions: Zollinger-Ellison syndrome requires the use of novel laboratory and imaging methods for an accurate diagnosis.

Resumen
An observational, descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective study of the prescription-indication type and quantitative study of consumption was carried out, with the aim of identifying the patterns of prescription of antipsychotics in patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia and related disorders hospitalized at the Manuel Piti Fajardo Psychiatric Hospital of Manzanillo in the period from January 2013 to January 2015. The data were obtained from medical records. Most of the patients were in the 18 to 40 year age range, female, and single. A higher percentage had a time of illness greater than five years, a hospital stay greater than one month, and had no previous hospitalizations. The most frequent diagnosis was schizophrenia. A small group of patients presented some psychiatric comorbidity, such as depressive disorder. The most widely used antipsychotic, either as monotherapy or in combination with another antipsychotic, was chlorpromazine. In general, these drugs were used within the therapeutic range, with a good response to treatment; the adverse drug reactions that occurred were mainly extrapyramidal disorders and sedation; the association of antipsychotics with central nervous system depressants was the most frequent potential drug interaction.

Resumen
Hypertrophic stenosis of the pylorus is the partial or complete obstruction of the pylorus lumen, its muscles are so strongly thickened that gastric emptying is difficult. Although the diagnosis is basically clinical, imaging studies are decisive to confirm the disease. A retrospective descriptive study was carried out in 119 patients with clinical manifestations of hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, whose diagnosis was confirmed by imaging studies, at the “William Soler” University Pediatric Hospital from 2000 to 2015. The ultrasound measurements were the length of the pyloric channel ≥ 16mm in 95.8%, the wall of the pyloric muscle in 88.2% and pyloric olive diameter in 68.1% of the patients. In 90 children, the diagnosis was done by initial abdominal sonography. The remaining 29 were done barium upper gastrointestinal studies under fluoroscopic vision, observing the string sign in 100%, gastric dilatation in 72.4% and delayed gastric emptying in 58.6%. With a second positive abdominal sonography. Corroborating the diagnosis in the surgical act. Abdominal sonography was a highly positive and sensitive diagnostic study, with the length of the pyloric canal as the main ultrasound measurement and the string sign the major radiological finding.

Resumen
Inguinal hernia is a common disease not free of complications. In order to determine the prevalence of postoperative complications in patients with inguinal hernia; a quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out in a universe of 86 patients who underwent surgery for inguinal hernia in 2019; Mariano Pérez Balí General Hospital, Granma. The variables were evaluated: age, sex, type of inguinal hernia, laterality, surgical technique and verified complications. In a total of 86 patients with inguinal hernia the mean age was 53,81 years. Male sex represented 95,34 % of all patients, Nyhus type II hernias represented 46,24 %. Hernioplasty techniques were used to repair 54,84 % of all hernias repaired, particularly the Lichtenstein technique. The 66,66 % of the inguinal hernias undergoing surgical repair did not present complications while 11,83 % were acutely complicated with funiculitis. It isconcluded that the incidence of postoperative complications in inguinal hernia was high.

Resumen
The ageing of the Cuban population is one of the most important demographic and social implications derived from the decrease in fertility, mortality and the increase in life expectancy; the consequences that this phenomenon exposes to today's society and its systems make it a tributary of large and complex governmental and state decisions. In order to determine the behavior of dysmobility in older adults belonging to the "Lidia Doce Sánchez" Nursing Home, during the months of May - July 2020, a cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out. The variables under study: Age, sex, personal history, degree of mobility. The percentage and the mean were used. Males prevailed (72.7%) and an average age of 76.5 ± 9.9 years. The main personal history was arterial hypertension (65.9 %). The elderly evaluated in Stage 1 prevail with 84 patients (63.7 %). In the group between 90-99 years the dysmobility becomes more evident in Stage 3. So it was concluded that the degree of dysmobility increases with age.

Resumen
Introduction: burns are trauma caused, usually by thermal, radioactive, electrical, or chemical exposure.Presentation of the case: a 17-year-old male patient accidentally suffers a high voltage electrical burn. In the right hand, due to its unfavorable evolution and hypodermic lesions with vascular compromise, the amputation of the hand was necessary. At the level of the right foot, the necrotic tissue was removed, leaving the distal phalanx of the thick exposed thick finger. Once a useful granulation tissue is achieved, omentum homograft is performed.Discussion: theomentum is a natural donor of growth factors. The omentum graft showed its usefulness to protect small exposed bone parts, favoring the improvement of the granulation tissue, the control of local infection and healing. Conclusions: the use of omental homograft is a viable alternative to cover small bloody areas with exposed bone, favoring granulation tissue and healing.
