Online videoactivism is a recent audiovisual formula that allows audiovisual groups, composed by citizens fair from institutional practice, to film their own audiovisual projects, sometimes characterized with a transforming social component. The paper analyzes some experiences that follow this direction: anonymity and lack of personal recognition in the figure of the filmmaker are the main features. Malaguistán complaints with pieces distributed by Internet, about the precarious situation of infrastructure and citizen space in Malaga and with an special kind of audiovisual language that combines ways of raw narrative with a parodic edition based on irony.

Resumen
Metaphor and metonymy amplify the expressive system that has woven the seventh art throughout its history. We want to show how these figures are capable of producing meaning beyond the classical forms of language. Without denying their functional role, its real strength lies in its poetic use. Both figures operate as narrative strategies that make variations on the classic narrative and give rise to trans-textual processes. As a case analysis, we did an exegesis of four films that belong to classic Hollywood cinema and postmodern cinema to show the operation of metaphor and metonymy in two different moments in the history of cinema.

Theatre, very often excluded in studies on genres usually called non-mimetic (horror, the fantastic, science fiction), can, however, afford mechanisms that fall beyond the reach of other media such as film or narrative fiction. Specifically, horror can benefit from the breaking of the fourth wall and the integration of the audience into the scenic area. This article traces, both in theory and in practice, the degrees of this assimilation to the show and the possibilities that follow for the recreation of horror on the stage.

This paper exposes current debates in the field of Legal Semiotics about two topics: the narrative nature of the practice of social discourse, oriented to adjudication, and the argumentative function that appears on the horizon of this narrative nature. We recognize one common problem behind these topics, and believe that Semiotics must pay attention: the strategic operations that the adjudications conceal remit to narrative regimes where rules are prescribed on normative ideal of story told and the discursive field where storytellings emerge.

The recent technological transformations of cinema have brought back the debate on the properties of the photographic image, calling attention once again to André Bazin’s film theory, especially his key work “The Ontology of the Photographic Image.” In this text, Bazin establishes a correlation between the materiality of the cinema and its aesthetic tendency towards realism. This article offers a terminological clarification on one of the most fundamental concepts of his theory — the trace—, which is frequently identified with C.S. Peirce’s indexicality, prompting semiotic readings of a pre-semiotic film theory.

This article analyses some concepts related to the architectural sign and presents itself a semiotic reading of one of the most important works of art of the architecture in Qing dynasty (18th Century): the Yuanying Guan (View of the Distant Sea) pavilion. Semiotic structures were employed to interpret the expression of architectural forms and formulate a subsequent understanding of these forms by turning each element into a communication tool.

As a continuation of previous investigations about the body, in the following analysis we propose and develop the concepts of altered bodies and altered worlds, which will be useful to base a hypothesis according to which there is a close and dialectic relationship between one another. After summarizing previous corporeal representations in photography and sculptures, this research focuses in bodily representations made by Picasso and Botero. To carry out the analysis, we take a look to some definitions of corporeity. Finally, we will propose a classification of types of relations between altered bodies and altered worlds.
