Resumen
This study aims to show an analysis of the stand-up comedy genre from a rhetorical perspective. A review of the actions and habits of some stand-up artists from Valladolid is proposed in order to explain the influence of the position of the comedian ethos has with regard to the audience, and to the matter which is the subject of the humour. Therefore, this is a rhetorical strategy which has an evident cultural influence that could be addressed from the principles of the cultural rhetoric suggested by Tomás Albaladejo.

Resumen
The female iconographies represented in perfume advertising are analyzed from a sample of fifty graphic advertisements published from 2000 to 2015. The applied methodology was iconographic, from which categories were created: Olympian goddesses, princesses, cinematographic myths, woman and snake and woman and feline. The results show that the survival of these mythologies in graphic advertising establishes feminine stereotypes and sexualized beauty canons in the collective subconscious that reaffirm the idealized survival of well-known myths in graphic advertising in this sector.

Resumen
Literature is born with myth, as a story of the cosmos, and poetry has been particularly linked to mythology along the years. In Spain, was mainly so in the Golden Age, when Ovid’s Metamorphoses had a wide impact. Spanish contemporary poetry also has this influence, even in periods when realism and social consciousness were predominant. This paper closely studies the ample presence of the myths in the poetry of José Manuel Caballero Bonald.

Resumen
With the income of the first socialist government in Spain and the end of the censorship, the Salamanca-born filmmaker José Luis García Sánchez writes, in colaboration with Rafael Azcona, a script which takes as hypotext the zarzuela La corte de Faraón, by Perrín y Palacios (1910). The narrative strategies that were used for this rewriting of a theatrical performance are closely related to esperpent, and they produced not only some curious and interesting results in the field of sainetesque and grotesque spanish cinema, but also defined with its forms an era of huge political, social and economic changes of the recent history of Spain. This paper analyzes the transformations that both screenwriters operated from the original work at a narrative level in order to adapt it to a new semiotic system, different from the theater, and the cinematographic techniques that the filmmaker used to give meaning to his new visual text.

Resumen
This article analyzes the way the films by Juan José Campanella Same Love, Same Rain (1999) and The Secret in Their Eyes (2009) reformulate some of the main characteristics of melodrama. Both films show the reconstruction of the main character’s memory, told by himself, in order to earn the opportunity of a second chance, the possibility to recover the lost love and come to a happy end. This reconstruction starts a reflexive and metalinguistic game up around the creation of fiction and links individual memory to the historical and collective memory of Argentina.

Resumen
The Ecuadorian escutcheon cannot be a coat of arms because it is not heraldic; it is an emblem of direct representation (vignette Shield). Despite being a national symbol, it has not had an appropriate methodology for its graphing and analysis. Thus, this study proposed the DAERDI Method (Analytical Dissection Method for Direct Representation Escutcheons Method), after deeming five respects: forms and dimensions, figures, external ornaments, chromatic features and as “a whole”. Its application will allow standardizing the graphic design and the comprehension of its contents.

Resumen
In order to contribute to the understanding of the literary thought of the poet, novelist, critic and translator Carlos Pujol (1936-2012), we analise three primary sources of his poetics where he explicitly formulates his literary ideas —though scattered and fragmented— responding to fundamental questions such as, What is literature? What is its function? The analysis of his aphorisms, of interviews and correspondence allows us to reconstruct an organic system of thought where there are two complementary functions of literature, viewed both as art and as intelligent fun, allowing us to see beyond appearances. Even if his work is coetaneous with the generation of the 70’s he adopts, like other authors, an approach different from that of the so-called novísimos.
