The objective of this study is to minimize the costs of the sales of the “Candies” store due to the accumulation of products in stock. This problem arises from the realization of constant fortnightly orders for fixed quantities, without taking into account the variability of demand. The alternative is then proposed to implement a Genetic Algorithm (GA) in Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications and Macros to carry out a projection corresponding to the inventory of the year 2020, in which the number of units for which each replenishment must be made is determined. . For the application of the algorithm, the historical data of the demand of the previous three years are taken: 2017, 2018 and 2019; It is worth mentioning that Monte Carlo simulation is applied to generate the data for the second semester of 2019. As a result, a reduction of approximately 100 products and more than $ 70 dollars was obtained with respect to previous years, which means an increase of 18% in the annual benefits of the products. In conclusion, the projection generated with the genetic algorithm provides a significant reduction in sales costs, since it reduces the amount of products that are usually wasted given their expiration before being dispatched. Automating AG deployment using Macros and Visual Basic reduces execution times and computational effort.

The objective of this study is to analyze the reasons for determining the increase of foreign citizens in Ecuador, due to the fact that in recent years there has been an increase of migrants in the country. For this purpose, we have considered obtaining data from a database that was provided by the Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), composed of about 7 million data, where a sample of 1 million records was obtained. With the help of a specialized programming algorithm and free access for statistical analysis such as the R language, it was observed that there are variables that are directly related and allow us to know to what extent travelers tend to choose the country as an option for relocation, according to the analysis it has been noted that 50.06% of these foreigners enter and 49.93% leave the country and that one of the reasons why foreigners come to the countryis for tourism.

The objective of this research work is to make known what are the main causes that cause migration in Ecuador, taking into account the factors that drive the Ecuadorian population to take migration as a collective strategy to determine the causes that a person you have at the time of making the decision to migrate to another country; For this study, the use of statistical and probabilistic tools as a computer instrument to obtain the results is disclosed; such as contingency tables and their statistical test such as chi square. A very powerful and free access tool will be used for the analysis of statistical data, such as R; in order to show the linear dependence of each of the variables. Based on the data analyzed, it is concluded that 90% of Ecuadorians migrate because they have a foreign residence and also those who do not have a specific occupation represent 28%.

The recent history of “the Sciences of communication” registers several efforts to constitute a communicology able to account for its subject of study from the perspective of a unified science from one or more of its dimensions. Meanwhile, other disciplines have broken with reductionist paradigms to embark on a new phase in which they construct and address their problems as complex. The document, written as an essay, develops a foundational proposal for a communicology of the complexity from so-called “complex thought” as natural disciplines practice it. The first section describes the properties of the complexity interesting to the discussion. Then, the text relates the proposed science to social conflicts since they permeate the space of communication, and because the approximation to the nature of this, allows the study of the formal order of such disputes. Therefore, the proposal insists on the need to institutionalize communicology as a social and not just as a communicational one.

This paper investigates the forms of communication that from the university are directed towards their internal and external audiences, in terms of ethical behavior through officialwebsites and social networks, specifically Facebook.Methodologically, a quantitative approach is made by taking a sample of the 18 most important universities worldwide according to the QS Ranking and applying an instrument to identify the existence of messages with ethical content, specific communication channels and presence in social networks. As a final reflection, the need arises for educational organizations to work on the generation of clear ethical contents, easy to find on their websites, that encourage their audiences to take an ethical conscience on the issues and problems that afflict humanity, as well as towards dialogue and participation in relevant issues.

This study examines media events from the perspective of geo-cultural markets by analyzing the media frames used during print media coverage of the Chilean mining disaster of 2010 in newspapers from Chile, Mexico and Spain. The paper assesses the narratives, dynamics and perspectives in two main frames- love and heroes-To further our understanding of framing strategies in the Hispanic geo-cultural market by addressing how geo-cultural markets can reinforce, localize or transcend frameworks or differ internally. The aim is to problematize the apparent standardization of geo-cultural markets and to analyze their differential occurrence in framing, identifying correlations and dissimilarities among representations of the mining accident in the three nations. In addition, the research highlights the variables within each frame and their association with cultural features of the Global South, rendering the concept of framing more adaptable and flexible. Finally, the paper demonstrates that frames of affection and emotion were highly influential in turning the Chilean mining disaster into a medium event.

From the perspective of the New Film History, and with the purpose of describing the exhibition spaces as a significant aspect of moviegoing as a social experience in Cartagena, Colombia, between 1912 and 1923, we use the available press corpus to approach to the material conditions, locations and perceptions about the cinema rooms at a time when the itinerant exhibition has begun to decline and the circus tent and the variety show's scenery give way to specific enginery for the enjoyment of the film show, venues which will be significant in the grammar of the city in its early and contradictory quest after cosmopolitanism.
