Ship recycling is commonly developed in Asian beaches due to labour cost and legal flexibility. The extraction of steel from ship recycling makes this activity economically viable and must accomplish with the labour and environmental requirements. In that way, the local steel scrap market in Brazil presented a deficit of at least 3.0 million / tons in the last 8 years while not meeting the demand of the local steel and smelting industries. In this line, we considered the economic potential for developed ship recycling in Brazilian shipyards, finding an opportunity to meet local demand for steel scrap of 3.0 million/year - and international demand of 370,000 tons/year, both means between 2007 and 2017. Finally, we found that there is an opportunity to implement ship recycling activity in Brazilian shipyards for the extraction of steel scrap from the local ship fleet with a market value of US$ 587,51 million. After considering the premise of serving neighbouring Latin American ship fleets, the volume of steel scrap and market value increase to US$ 19,94. This scenario could promote an attractive business and the rotation of the assets for local shipyards.

This paper presents some aspects related to the human body's hydraulics in the desire to make readers aware of how to maintain all the blood vessels of the human body in order to maintain the entire healthy, functional, young, vigorous circulatory system for a while the longest possible. The problem is complex because it has to be viewed from all points of view and not only as an isolated system in the body, having aspects of fitback on the whole physiopathology belonging to the human body. The highly circulating system needs permanent maintenance. Self-maintenance is done through various physiological mechanisms tightly linked to each other, including the lymphatic, digestive, renal, lung, nervous, glandular system ... It is not possible to completely separate the physiology of a system from the other adjacent systems because they all work synergistically, being permanently controlled by the central and peripheral nervous system.

The ability of bacteria to produce a biofilm is considered an important virulent property in pathogenesis of mastitis. The purpose of studies is to investigate the ability to form biofilms, their density, to determine and compare the sensitivity to antibacterial drugs of planktonic and biofilm forms of the main bovine mastitis pathogens on dairy farms of the Western region of Ukraine.Diagnosis of bovine mastitis, selection of milk samples and secretions of the mammary gland, microbiological studies were carried out in accordance with generally accepted methods. The performed studies have established that among pathogens, both acute and chronic forms of mastitis, the most productive film-forming ability had S. aureus strains, which on average 1.5 times more often formed the biofilm than Str. agalactiae and Str. dysgalactiae strains. It was revealed that S. aureus strains, isolated from cows under the subclinical form of mastitis and at carriage, 2.0 times (p <0.05) more often formed biofilms than in the clinical form of mastitis. The highest sensitivity of planktonic bacteria to pathogens of mastitis of streptococci and staphylococci was to ceftriaxone and doxycycline (100-80.9%). The least susceptible streptococci and staphylococci were to benzylpenicillin 32.3-45.4%, and the susceptibility of S. aureus strains was 19.0%.When determining the influence of antibiotics on biofilm forms of bacteria found that cells in the biofilm are more resistant to antibacterial drugs. It was found that antibiotic enrofloxacin completely inactivated streptococci and staphylococci in biofilms. Also, antibiotics ceftriaxone and doxycycline were also effective on bacteria in biofilms. At the same time, under the action of antibiotics penicillins, aminoglycosides and macrolides, the amount of microbial cells that survived in a biofilm was about lg 5.3 CFU/cm2 of area. Consequently, studies have shown that it is necessary to seek effective methods and develop new drugs that would influence the bacteria in biofilms to effectively treat bovine mastitis.

The maturity of the current production systems allocates the company in scenarios of success or not in achieving the goals of the business. It is enhanced through the use of tools and methodologies to support decision-making in all layers and sectors of the company. In this scenario, researches on the maintenance management are so relevant because its objectives affect directly system reliability, indicators of quality, safety requirements, environmental impacts and operating costs. Selecting the right maintenance policy has become one of the most important decision-making actions in the industry. In contemporary maintenance techniques, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is a systematic process that analyses the functions and potential failures of a physical asset, with focus on the preservation of the systems functions. In this context, the present paper investigates the RCM models in the literature concentering in the methodologies applied and in practical approaches. Based on this, a customized deployment model was proposed combining techniques and tools in a structured methodology for the selection of maintenance actions. The steps and details of the implementing are enhanced with a practical approach in multiple case studies in different industrial sectors. Results of the increase of the systems reliability are validated by a failure rate analysis before and after each application. More, questions about security, environment and costs are highlighted, generating a new knowledge base and promoting continuous discussions in order to improve all the process involved.

This article deals worth Innovation Quality (or Quality of Innovation) instead of Quality Innovation (or Innovation in Quality). It is recognized that innovations along with knowledge must be part of any kind of organization strategy as relevant tools in order to obtain competitive advantage. To associate quality and creativity to these factors makes the results more significant. The goal of the current study is to discuss innovation as a positive or negative factor for quality improvement and try to measure such relation through an indicator that is open to numerical determination with application in several practical conditions, especially in the productive activity. A set of dimensions is proposed for the innovation quality as a way to achieve such goal. It is proposed and discussed an index called Innovation Quality as a goal to quantify the real contribution of innovation in each case, so aiming to open a thorough discussion about this concept.

Among all nation members of OECD, Australia is the highest greenhouse gas polluter. To solve this issue, Australian government has initiated some policies and incentives for the businesses to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. However, individuals and households play a key role in greenhouse gas emissions as one fifth of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions are coming from the Australian households. It is required to provide effective extrinsic motivation to the people to embed sustainability into their daily life. “Bank of Sustainability” is a new business concept introduced in this paper to provide such motivation for involving individuals in sustainability. Bank of sustainability provides tangible advantages to its customers for their engagement with sustainable practices leading to a major behavioural change and positive movement to a more sustainable environment and society.

In abrasive flow machining, there are two sets of piston-cylinder arrangements, i.e. machine and media. the machine ram pushes the media piston two and fro so that media filled inside it flows past the inner wall of workpiece and the material is removed. The extrusion pressure is the main mechanism of material removal. Various authors have made the process more effective in terms of material removal and surface roughness by providing rotational and magnetic force.

In other papers already presented on the structure and dimensions of elemental hydrogen, the elementary particle dynamics was taken into account in order to be able to determine the size of the hydrogen. This new work, one comes back with a new dynamic hypothesis designed to fundamentally change again the dynamic particle size due to the impulse influence of the particle. Until now it has been assumed that the impulse of an elementary particle is equal to the mass of the particle multiplied by its velocity, but in reality, the impulse definition is different, which is derived from the translational kinetic energy in a rapport of its velocity. This produces an additional condensation of matter in its elemental form.
