Resumen
Sometimes, it is necessary to install regular openings like windows or doors in the shear walls. Such openings require special reinforcement. There are several methods for reinforcing deep beams, one of which is the use of fiber reinforced polymer bars. In this study, an experimental work on a coupled shear wall has been used to mode the system by using finite element method with ABAQUS software. The finite element model was established based on part of the experimental study and verified with the other parts of the experimental results. The comparison shows good agreement. In the study, three different types of fiber reinforced polymer bars were considered in improving the mechanical and structural behavior of RC coupling beams. Results of the finite element analysis showed the superiority of the CFRP bars in improving seismic behavior of the coupled shear wall comparing to GFRP and BFRP.

Resumen
This article aims at the implementation of safety at work in the daily life of a Junior Company, which often uses laboratories for chemical analysis. To achieve the objective, initially a risk map was structured. Then, a business model was defined, adding safety factors through the methodology of Business Model Canvas. And finally, the application of the Balanced Scorecard, proposing objectives and operation’s indicators relating this specific junior company. When the analysis was done, the presence of hazards was detected in the laboratory and there have been set ways to eliminate or minimize these risks and accidents at work. Therefore, after the implementation of this study, the company has a structured safety culture, allowing focused actions of improvements, education and training.

Resumen
In this paper bio-tissue mathematical modeling serves as a central repository to interface design, simulation, and tissue fabrication. Finite element computer analyses will be used to study the role of local tissue mechanics on endochondral ossification patterns, skeletal morphology and mandible thickness distributions using single and multi-phase continuum material representations of clinical cases of patients implanted with the traditional protocols. New protocols will be hypothesized for the use of the new biologically techno-structured hybrid materials.

Resumen
Today the growth of modern cities is unprecedented in the history of urbanization and the urban environmental problems have also been increased. Unfortunately, there is no much time to modify past failures and improve the status quo, and ensure the protection of the environment. Consequently, it’s important to pay attention to the development of sustainable urban planning and its role in urban management issues is an objective that requires a new approach. On the other hand, Industry 4.0 (I.4.0), as called the 4th Industrial Revolution, carries impacts in the production on companies, the economy and society, with disruptive character, creating new markets and destabilizing the traditional way of doing business. Once I.4.0 is a strategic approach to the integration of advanced control systems with internet technology, enabling communication between people, products and complex systems, it’s expected to follow the same in the Smart Cities development. This article aims to relate technological tools of I.4.0 and the dimensions of “Smart Cities”, based on analytical framework for better understanding the emergence of new society ecosystem focused on the redefinition of the cities’ concept, urbanism and way of life, motivated by this new reconfiguration.

Resumen
The purpose of this paper is to identify the relationships between teamwork, knowledge management and human values, categorizing the studies focused in the interplay of these three variables, with a focus on their appliance to the industrial shop floor context. By doing so, this paper seeks to identify literature gaps to be explored in subsequent researches. The research method adopted was a systematic literature review from databases related to the teamwork, knowledge management and human values published in periodicals within the period comprehended between 2000 to 2015. Thirty-five open categories were initially identified in the interplay of the three variables, with the vast majority of them emphasizing the relationship between two of the three variables. Lately, these original categories converged to nine axial categories or different areas of research. As a main finding of the study, it was possible to identify one main gap in the literature, suggesting the development of new researches focused on investigating how team’ design and levels of autonomy impact the performance of team members’ knowledge management activities in different groups on which different values prevail.

Resumen
Using traditional sources of energy for cooking in rural areas of Tanzania is associated with problems such as lung diseases, soil erosion and air pollution. This paper identifies the energy sources used for cooking and its determinants in rural areas of Tanzania. Cross-sectional survey design through questionnaire was used to collect data from 384 households living in rural areas of Njombe and Iringa regions in Tanzania. Multistage cluster sampling technique was employed to sample districts, wards and villages, while rural heads of households were sampled randomly using the fishbowl method to avoid biasness. Descriptive analysis such as frequencies and percentages were used. Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLR) techniques was used to estimate the parameters of factors determining the choices of energy sources for cooking in rural areas of Tanzania. The findings show that firewood is the main source of energy for cooking, followed by charcoal, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and electricity in rural areas of Tanzania. The study shows that education, household size, occupation, income, and age of respondents determine the choices of energy sources for cooking. It can be concluded that, apart from improving income, other intervention such as family planning, reforestation programmes and promotion of the use of modern cooking stoves should be done to ensure sustainable development in rural areas of Tanzania

Resumen
This article explores the applicability of Hammer’s theories on Operational Innovation (OI), Operational Excellence (OE) and processes, on firms of different industrial sectors and sizes, located in Argentina. The hypothesis of this study -which was corroborated- suggests that the manager’s role is supported by what is called Process Management (PM), which deals with performance gaps in a given period of time. In this context, OE, OI and processes’ understanding becomes an important constituent of the management activity. Through the implementation of a holistic PM-based perspective in many more organizations it is possible to boost results, achieve superior levels of performance and offer the right customer value. Specifically, a process is represented by a sequence of activities. It allows installing, following and measuring an operation, and isbased on five enablers and four capabilities that are explained in this study. This is an exploratory and descriptive work, with a qualitative methodology. Also, this study has a not experimental/transversal design. It is based on Hammer’s theories on the matter, which were complemented with executives/managers' interviews of different multinationals and local firms located in Argentina. debt crowdfunding in Latin America and Mexico. Implications for lenders, researchers and policy-makers are also discussed.

Resumen
An Empirical study on the topic of an availability of Health care services in Zarol village as per the Indian Public Health Standards has been undertaken with the main objective to find out the prevailing gap between expected health standards and actual Indian Public health standards. The study was descriptive in nature. A sample of 80 respondents were undertaken for survey. Data were collected through structured closed ended questionnaire by using Non-probability convenience sampling method through personally interviewing the respondents. The analysis was done by using various tests in SPSS. The Service Quality Dimensions were used to measure the Service Quality Assurance of Public Health care services.

Resumen
The purpose of this paper is to study potential association between international trade and ISO 14001 certification. The study is based upon a search conducted by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) performed in 2013, which includes responses from 110 countries in 11 languages. At this time, among all topics from the research, the variables studied were motivations for implementation and the benefits achieved. These data were crossed with features of international business trade to identify its real outcome. The null hypothesis to be tested is that there was no correlation or association between international trade and the studied variables. Results show that there were 16 weak correlations between motivations to implement ISO 14001 and international trade. The survey result shows that there are weak correlations among countries international trade and motives to get certification. Because the degrees of correlation are low, there is reason to further studies, what could probably include multivariate techniques. Anyway, the study suggests that some of the expected results and benefits for the business were not achieved or were achieved at degrees lower than expected in countries where trade is higher. Regarding motivations to implement the survey confirmed that attending to customers’ and stakeholders’ interests is an important driver for companies that export.
