In the perspective of organizational context, the present paper deals with the different types of architecture of BPM. As objectives, it is proposed to formulate a conceptual comparative view of the main architectures present in the scientific literature. As for the methodology, bibliographical and webibliomining research are employed in a qualitative and quantitative approach to the subject. As a result, the comparative view of the UML, BPMN, CIMOSA, IDEF, ARIS, IEM, GRAI, GERAM and EKD architectures is developed, in terms of temporal aspects, socio-technical characteristics, visualization and analysis, among other factors which offers substantial argument to decide what framework is better in each scenario.

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the feasibility of using the theory of chaos in the process of managing the industrial enterprises. One of the tools for managing chaos is proposed to be chaos engineering – a method of conducting planned experiments that give an idea of how the system can behave as a result of disturbances. The introduction of chaos engineering will allow for prediction of possible perturbations and prepare the system for a new attractor at an optimal time with minimal losses. The chaos management model of the economic system, which allows either a radical change in the status of the enterprise, its ability to influence demand and supply while maintaining the subjectivity of the development, or to promote antifragility of the enterprise, allows strengthening the stability of the economic system.

The worldwide demand of ceramic tiles market is projected to spread about 21,000 million square meters by 2020. The rising infrastructure progress activities in emergent countries is expected to motivate the trade growth throughout the estimated period. The industry has fascinated a number of new competitors owing to the fast demand progress, thus executing the business extremely reasonable. The production of ceramic tiles involves two different stages: pre bisque firing kiln processes and post bisque firing kiln processes. Rejection encountered in pre bisque firing kiln processes can be recycled deprived of much damage to the environment however the post bisque firing kiln rejection cannot be reprocessed. On the other hand, greatest amount of thermal energy is consumed in the bisque firing kiln process. This research paper highlights a case study of frontier ceramic ltd to diminish the post bisque firing kiln rejections frequency during the production of ceramic wall tiles. In this perspective, 5S methodology is used to reorganize the workstations and process flow while the application of kaizens philosophy of continuous improvement has directed to 40% decrease in post bisque firing kiln rejection consequently saving energy and damage to environment.

Companies adopt sustainable practices in order to improve the economic, environmental and social performance of their operations. This fact does not occur with the same intensity in maintenance operations. By adopting sustainable practices during the implementation of maintenance strategies, there will be mitigation of industrial maintenance impacts on sustainability. However, there are few studies on the integration of sustainability in maintenance activities and few companies adopt sustainable maintenance due to lack of knowledge of the subject and its benefits. This paper aims to show how the concepts of sustainability are being inserted in the maintenance strategies. For this purpose, a literature review and a systematic literature review were performed. It was verified that the concepts of sustainability are integrated into maintenance strategies by means of sustainable criteria, with emphasis on lost production cost, spare parts cost and expenditures associated with energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (economic dimension), on pollutant emission due to energy consumption during machining/manufacturing (environmental dimension) and on health and safety at work (social dimension). This paper contributes to the dissemination of the theme and motivates the companies to implement sustainable maintenance.

A method for PET mechanical properties enhancement by reactive blending with HBA/HNA Liquid Crystalline Polymers for in situ highly fibrillar composites preparation is presented. LCP/PET blends were reactively extruded in presence of Pyromellitic Di-Anhydride (PMDA) and then characterized by Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Thermally Stimulated Currents and tensile mechanical properties. Moderate amounts of LCP in the PET (0.5 and 5%) and small amounts of thermo-active and reactive compatibilizer in the blend (0.3%) were found to significantly improve LCP melt dispersion, melts shear transfer and LCP fibril formation and adhesion. An unexpected improvement was probably due to the presence of two distinct phases’ supra-molecular structures involving PET-LCP and PMDA.

According to some well-known conceptual elaborations within the theory of law, every legal order emerges through the production of «independent» norms, i.e., norms that lack any identifiable basis of validity in legal norms. However, some authors consider that this is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for the emergence of a new legal order: in cases of consensual secession, for instance, a new legal order would emerge without unauthorized norms. In this paper I will analyze and criticize this last idea and conclude that, even with the possibility of a successful consensual secession, the existence of a new legal order does not follow per se. This can only occur under a necessary condition: to produce «independent» norms.

This article explores possible connections between legal positivism, classical liberalism and the rule of law, a task that has been obstructed by the anti-positivist vision of liberal authors. In that sense, anti-positivists critics are analyzed and contested with the purpose of showing the compatibility between legal positivism and the rule of law ideal.
