Resumen
With the aim of contributing to the study of socio-communicative phenomena from the sociological approach of the Framing Theory, weanalyze in this work a group of memes posted on Facebook and Twitter concerning the shortage of gasoline in Mexico in January 2019, as a result of the strategy against fuel stealing. The main objective is to identify the way in which a set of Internet memes were used for the propagation and reproduction of frames in relation to this high-profile event in the media. The main results show that from the 55 registered memes, two main types of frames were identified: amplification and extension of frames.

Resumen
The goal of this paper is to broadly analyze the incipient outlook of digital citizenship in Mexico within the framework of the great restructuring processes of capitalism and the arduous transition towards democracy in the country, which is currently going through a process of transformation. The methodology employed is historical-structural analysis, applied by Latin American social sciences to study complex phenomena, and which considers social reality as a “relational whole” that functions and develops from different “dimensions,” which are articulated in the same sociohistorical framework. After broadly describing Mexico’s present scenario, the paper explores the main challenges currently faced by the construction and development of digital citizenship in the country.

Resumen
Jacques Derrida argues that the best way to approach today’s urgent matter of transnational migration is to adopt the perspective of hospitality. This paper conducts a philosophical analysis of this argument. First, it discusses Derrida’s understanding of hospitality, and how this concept allows him to claim that there is an inextricable yet contradictory relationship between ethics and politics. It then explains how this link between ethics and politics leads Derrida to conclude that a policy of hospitality that strives to welcome the other unconditionally is both possible and necessary, and that this implies that it is possible to build social and political bonds beyond the nation-state and grounded on hospitality.
