Resumen
A case of a 29-year-old female, mixed race patient with a history of hypothyroidism and conization due to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade II was reported, who performed three pneumothorax within 2 years, being at rest and during the second day of the menstrual cycle. She is admitted to the Pulmonology ward of the General Hospital “Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso”, with the probable diagnosis of pneumothorax secondary to pleural endometriosis. He underwent videotoracoscopy and laparoscopy with sampling for histological study. The definitive diagnosis of catamenial pneumothorax was established, chemical pleurodesis was made with talc, hormonal treatment and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which presented a satisfactory evolution.

Resumen
Introduction: Hip fracture in the elderly is the most common cause of hospitalization in the trauma department, causing repercussion in several clinical areas, affecting its independence. Objective: To determine the prognostic factors of poor evolution in the study population. Methods: Ambispective, correlational and non-experimental study was designed. The population consisted of all patients over 65 years of age who underwent surgery for hip fracture between January 2014 and July 2015 at the Central Hospital of the Pruvian Air Force (F.A.P). The magnitude of the association was quantified using the oddsratio, and a multivariate analysis was performed on the significant variables and a 6-month follow-up was performed. Results: The variables identified with a strong association with poor evolution were: age greater than 75 years (OR = 3,750 CI: 1,275-11,026 p = 0,016), high comorbidity (OR = 4.00 CI: 1.58 -10.08 p =0.003), hemoglobin <10 (OR 6,545 CI: 1.17-36.6 p = 0.0032), respiratory complication (OR 6.00 CI: 1.55-22.94 p = 0.000) patients in the 6-month follow-up. The previous fracture was strongly related to mortality (OR 3,665 CI: 1,366 - 9,821 p = 0,010). Conclusions: The poor evolution in hip fracture is associated with high comorbidity, age greater than 75 years, residence (institutionalized patient), postoperative respiratory complication with significant limitations in gait capacity and the functional status of the patients. Finally, the antecedent previous fracture showed high association with an increased mortality of patients at 6 months follow-up.

Objective: To determine the main epidemiological and clinical characteristics of Parkinson's disease at the National Hospital "Ramiro Prialé Priale" in Huancayo. Methods: Observational, descriptive retrospective study of a serie of cases. 84 patients were studied between 2015 and 2017, treated in the outpatient clinic or hospitalization of Neurology and Internal Medicine, for which their medical records were reviewed, the sampling was non-probabilistic of the census type selected by the investigator's judgment. Results: The average age was 72.93 years, the male gender prevailed (58.3%), the degree of university education (50%) and the origin of Huancayo (77.4%). Decompensated arterial hypertension was the reason for hospitalization (19.1%), disease time ranged between 1-7 years (57.1%) and tremor at rest and bradykinesia was the most frequent motor symptom (23.8%) In non-motor symptoms, 38.1% had sleep disorders, 21.4% family history of Parkinson's disease and the most associated comorbidities were: depression (48.8%) and insomnia (41.7%). Conclusion: Parkinson's disease is a frequent pathology in older adults and males; The predominant motor symptom is resting tremor and bradykinesia, and the associated neuropsychiatric comorbidities are depression and insomnia.

Resumen
Osteopetrosis comprises a series of rare genetic conditions that produce an imbalance in bone remodeling due to abnormal osteoclastic activity. We report a female patient 1 year 4 months, diagnosed with malignant osteopetrosis neuropathic child while causing paleness, distended abdomen with collateral circulation and growth retardation and developmental milestones are investigating. Examination right eye with retinopathy. Skeletal x-rays revealed a generalized bone hyperdensity. She bone marrow aspirate showed hypercellularity with hyperplastic erythroid, megakaryocytic normal white series. Diagnosis was confirmed by clinical and radiological features. The patient received supportive care. While the diagnosis is simple OPAR this is often delayed by the rarity of the disease and the lack of clinical suspicion, early diagnosis and treatment of bone marrow transplant is curative approach to a disease of poor prognosis.

Resumen
Undifferentiated carcinoma with undifferentiated osteoclast-like cells (UC-OGC) in the head of the pancreas is extremely rare. The clinicalpathological, imaging and topographic appearance characteristics are not wellclassified. This case report describes a patient with UC-OGC of the Pancreas Head. Our patient, an adult over 75 years of age, had a considerable illness time, without relevant symptoms until the advanced stages of the tumor, debuting with shallow gastric discomfort, then weight loss. In the diagnostic tests they found the presence of a tumor that compromised the stomach, duodenum and pancreas. The definitive diagnosis was given by the pathological study. There are not enough clinical data available for a treatment that guarantees a higher survival rate in patients, however, pancreatoduodenectomy is currently the alternative that offers the best results, on the other hand, the prognosis after surgery and the recurrence rate still uncertain.

Resumen
Introduction: Traffic accidents (AT) are the first priority in health research in Peru, According to the World Health Organization (WHO) it is estimated that the economic costs of vehicle impact and injuries due to AT are 1 % and 1.5% of the Gross National Product (GNP) in low and middle income countries; In Peru it is approximately 1.5 - 2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Objective: To determine if there is an association between the time of prehospital care and hospital mortality in victims of traffic accidents. Methods: A systematic review was carried out through the literature search of related articles in indexing sources such as PubMed and BIREME. Results: Delays in the transfer of patients to the hospital and the lack of pre-hospital Emergency Medical System (SME) were significantly associated with an increase in mortality (P: 0.000) and the need for an SME as a prehospital care provider was significant predictor of emergency mortality with an adjusted odds ratio [OR] 2.19; 95% CI [1.88–2.55], and in the first 24 hours of admission with an adjusted OR 2.31; 95% CI [1.95–2.73]. Conclusion: The time of pre-hospital care in traffic accidents is significantly associated with hospital mortality, therefore, it is proposed to study factors associated with the longtime of pre-hospital care.

Resumen
In the article published by Baldeón-Martínez et al1 on depression in the elderly, the authors estimated a prevalence of depression of 14.2% in a probabilistic sample of 4917 people over 60 in our country. The factors associated with this diagnosis were female sex, lack of education, age over 75, live in rural areas and be poor. This study was carried out based on data from the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES) 2017, using the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) instrument for the diagnosis of depression. The study presents some strengths such as wide coverage, quality of sampling and detailed and updated information on respondents, especially in socio-demographic aspects.

Resumen
Objective: To define the feasibility of determining inequality in infant mortality according to the mother's educational level and according to the wealth quintile of the 1991-2013 period, considering the level of precision of said rates. Methods: The type of study was quantitative and observational, with a crosssectional design based on repeated surveys. The data from the ENDES surveys corresponding to those of 1991, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2008 and 2013 were used. Infant mortality was determined using the direct method of synthetic cohort life tables. The level of precision of the estimates was determined by the relative error. Results: It´s observed that the level of precision of the estimates of these general rates has fluctuated between good and very good in the 1991-1992, 1996 and 2000 surveys; however, in 2008 and 2013 they only reach an acceptable level. Infant mortality rates tend to be lower as the mother's educational level improves, as well as the wealth quintile and elsewhere exists among successive surveys a tendency to reduce infant mortality in different categories. Conclusion: It is not feasible to determine the inequality of the measurement of Infant Mortality according to the mother's educational level and according to the wealth quintile in the period 1991-2013, because the sample size has not been increased, depending on the decreased mortality.
