La Responsabilidad Social de la Empresa (RSE), también denominada Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC), se plantea como un factor estratégico clave en la gestión. El objeto de este trabajo es analizar las relaciones existentes entre los principios de RSE y la rentabilidad de las empresas del sector de la construcción en Galicia. Para ello se realiza una revisión del concepto de RSE y de su evolución; a continuación se analiza la relación entre la RSE y los resultados empresariales a nivel global para empresas gallegas representativas del sector de la construcción; y, por último se desarrollan indicadores cuantitativos que permiten evaluar la gestión y el desempeño en la empresa y se contrastan los planteamientos teóricos con los resultados obtenidos a través de la modelización econométrica para una muestra de 100 empresas. El análisis comparativo se realiza a través de la rentabilidad sobre activos o económica (ROA, Return On Assets) y la rentabilidad sobre fondos propios o financiera (ROE, Return On Equity). Concluimos que existe una relación positiva entre los rendimientos financieros y la RSE, por lo que esta se consolida como fuente de ventaja competitiva.

O desenvolvemento da actividade eólica en Galicia estivo caracterizado, entre outros elementos, por unha remuneración “controvertida” do terreo ocupado polos parques eólicos. Esta controversia asentouse sobre a non consideración do solo como “soar industrial”, deixando de lado elementos clave como os dereitos de propiedade e o capital social. En definitiva, plasmou a non converxencia entre o “valor” dun terreo pola súa capacidade para poder desenvolver unha actividade industrial, e o “prezo” que debería ter como remuneración esa capacidade. Neste artigo, faise unha reflexión sobre a situación vivida en Galicia desde o inicio das actuacións eólicas ata o ano 2008, para profundar na necesidade de establecer marcos normativos que contemplen os dereitos de todos os axentes partícipes.

Os últimos 10 anos supuxeron un absoluto cambio de paradigma no sector de aloxamentos turísticos a nivel mundial. Fronte aos aloxamentos convencionais xorden desde a economía colaborativa novas formas de aloxamento coñecidas como alugueiros turísticos. O obxectivo deste artigo é analizar este novo fenómeno, a súa orixe, as causas do seu crecemento e as consecuencias derivadas del, tales como a xentrificación e a masificación turística, achegando finalmente algunhas posibles solucións a estas.

Este artigo céntrase no proceso de “impeachment” de Dilma Rousseff en  Brasil, así como nas políticas económicas aplicadas e da marcha da  economía baixo a administración de Temer, entre 2016 y 2018. O artigo amosa que o exercicio de Dilma Rousseff favoreceu un empuxe neoliberal máis forte defendido especialmente polos mercados financeiros e que, ao contrario dos obxectivos proclamados da nova Administración, as políticas económicas adoptadas contra a recesión non supuxeron unha recuperación económica nin unha mellora da situación fiscal do Goberno central. Pola contra, a privatización acelerada e a desnacionalización da economía desde o impeachment perpetuou aínda máis o estancamento, reforzou o endebedamento e reduciu a capacidade de resposta do Goberno central.

The studies about the relationship between intellectuals, artists and communist parties usually focus in the antifascist times, shaped by the VII Congress of the Comintern. This article inquires in previous connections, generated by a pro-worker sensibility, and by the reject to the Guerra del Chaco (1932-1935). The change in the period is done analyzing three stages, in Uruguay, Argentina y Chile, it’s shown the multiple projects, tensions and strategies followed by the communists intelectualls and artists.

This paper examine three popular libraries in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), founded between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century by different groups that shared, however, their confidence in the power of written culture as a factor of civilization in locations recently integrated to the national state consolidation project. In this sense, it is intended to analyze the complex relationships established by these libraries with the public authorities and their bureaucratic agencies at the national, provincial and municipal levels, paying particular attention to the tensions generated between their claim of autonomy and the demands for financing and official endorsement required to ensure continuity and expansion of their cultural work.

This article analyzes the overlapping of the political discourse of the current government of President Piñera (2018-2022) and the discourse of the media regarding migration and migrants. The article states that in both speeches there is a close relationship between the way of representing migrants (racialized and stereotyped) and the control policies that have been followed through measures implemented in the current administration. For this we developed three central ideas: the media have been a space hegemonized by the Ministry of Interior; the media reproduce the idea of ​​migration as a problem and reinforce certain stereotypes associated with Haitian migration (poor, marginal, vulnerable) and Venezuelan (crisis, emergency, overflow) and finally the government has been effective in installing the ideology ” to order the house ”that acts as a dominant metaphor that encloses an ideological position, reducing reality to a simple idea with high manipulative power. 197 news items appeared in the media between April 2018 and August 2019 in press media available online.

At the end of 2018, the fiftieth anniversary of the events of May-June 1968, a mobilization of breadth called yellow vests has emerged, whose purpose is far from being clear at the time we wrote. During its first weeks of existence, this phenomenon has mobilized the memory of the French Revolution but also that of 1968 as never before in social movements in France since the 1970s. This article proposes to review what has authorized this comparison with the events of May-June 1968, with particular emphasis on the limits of this comparison. For this purpose, it turns on the conquests of May-June of 68, on their traces in the distinguishable memories of the French respondents at the time of their anniversary and the forces mobilized between the years 1970 and 2018. He concludes with some hypotheses that can explain the totally unpublished character of the movement still in progress.

This article takes as its starting point the observation that brokers have been overlooked in political and academic discussions about international migration in Latin America. Highlighting the historical role of brokers in global migration, this article challenges current scholarly emphasis on migrant agency and the role of the State in explaining regional migration. It does so by providing an overview of current research on migration infrastructure and arguing for its relevance to Latin America. Finally, diverse cases of Asian migration to Chile are described and analyzed as a way to highlight the political importance and relevance of the concept and the phenomenon of migration brokers.

The article analyzes the Argentine ‘left during the 80s, between the last military dictatorship and transition to democracy. It makes a critical balance about academic studies and proposes some keys for its study, taking into account the impact of the dictatorship on these political associations, the processes of organizational recomposition and the left’s action in the transitional period, from a global perspective on the universe of the Argentine’ left.
