In this article, the authors propose several reflections on different ways in which males participate in the process of interrupting a pregnancy, as a practice per se and within the process of defining normative criteria for influencing said process. They propose certain hypothesis regarding the reasons why males are a secondary actor in models for interpreting reproduction and show how this produces conceptual problems, practical ambivalences, and instances of confusion in the process of defining rights and responsibilities in the sphere of reproduction, despite the fact that males are also identified as relevant actors when defining the moral discourse that attempts to regulate the possibility of abortion. The authors are interested in taking into account several contributions made by feminist thought when analyzing the double moral standard used as a reference for males’ and females’ sexual and reproductive experiences. While this is an exploratory text, the authors do not limit themselves repeating some of the proposals made by feminist thought, but rather diversify them by directing their attention to “masculinity studies” in terms of the use of language, how discourse is handled, and males’ experiences involving two dynamisms related to reproduction, sexuality and health.

In this essay the social cost is analyzed —conceptualized from the perspective of the sustainable human development— it’s consider like an investment which are made by 13 countries of the region of Latin America and the Caribbean, in the frame of the named Initiative 20/20, adopted in the World wide Summit for the Social Development, celebrated in Copenhagen in 1995, it maintains that it is possible to reach the universal cover of basic social services in the countries developing, if these will destine public budgets destined 20 per cents of their budgets public and developed countries another 20 percent of the official attendance for the development to social basic services. The headings that are analyzed are the total public social cost spendings, the cost in social basic services, some elements related to the proposals of resources reassignment to reach the propose goals in the matter and the paper of the official attendance for the development.

Stanting from the case of the natives that are residents in the city of Guatemala and based on a field work on three urban universes, the article talk about the diversity of the possible relationships between the ethnicity and the space. This has to do with the histories and dynamic of different sectors of indigenous with the urban world: the merchants and suppliers of the city, the available manpower of the indigenous towns of the proximities or the immigrants of the second half of the XX century. It is pointed out that the native’s absence in the city has been ideological and falsified. Another important point that approaches is how with the globalization, the native is leaving spaces of mixed ethnic composition, developing a multiple territorialization. With that they are enlarging the considered “ethnic” territories.

The incidence of the women in the labor market has had a diferent connotation in the context of the Latin American and European countries. However, the economics crisis agudization and the cost life high has impulsed the women insertion with childs to the economic activity. This fact, has developpement a politics measure sets for the State in matter of legislative and the fertility. For this reasons, the main object in this paper is to be an comparative analysis between Suecia and México about need for the revision of strategies implement for the states in both countries in the context history of the women economic participation, the laboral legislation in the process of the transition demographic.

Este trabajo analiza el nivel de la anticoncepción, sus tendencias y diferenciales en los estados de Guanajuato, México y Michoacán. Se analiza también la dinámica de usos de métodos y percepciones de hombre y mujeres acerca de la posibilidad de  planear sus vidad y eventos reproductivos para el conjunto de los estados prioritarios. Una línea de discusión, a partir de este artículo, es pensar en la planificación como una herramienta que forme parte de un proyecto en la vida de las parejas.

El mundo, las naciones, las sociedades y los individuos, todos tienen la meta del bienestar, aunque frecuentemente eso signifique el malestar de otros, como llega a suceder de nación a nación, de una sociedad a otra y entre individuos. Pero afortunadamente predominan las buenas intenciones y los gobiernos y las sociedades buscan logros socioeconómicos y plantean todo el tiempo el avance en el desarrollo. En estos anhelos las acciones de la salud pública tienen papel primordial, a lo cual se han agregado las políticas de población. Ya es del conocimiento común que la menor mortalidad, el control de las enfermedades y el descenso en la fecundidad son a la vez consecuenciasy efectos de adelantos y desarrollos conseguidos.  

La crisis mexicana, agudizada desde 1982 y que sigue profundizándose, ha repercutido fuertemente en el ingreso, empleo y bienestar de la población, acentuando la búsqueda de alternativas económicas -frecuentemente dentro del denominado sector informal- que permitan sobrevivir a los sectores marginados, sean éstos urbanos o rurales.

The generally anhropological studies generally report that among indigenous groups, old age is conceived as homogeneous, a period when the elder enjoys high social status, being respected and protected by the community. They also suggest the idyllic idea that gerontocracy is the center of the political and social life of the community. Under this perspective, social relationships are seen to favor the elders. Taking into account the previos idea, this paper confronts the sociocultural changes experienced inside the indigenous community.
