Resumen
The Quitovac area is located in northwestern Sonora, where rocks that crop out have been assigned to the Proterozoic, Jurassic, and Tertiary by simple correlation with other areas. A 380-km-long linear physiographic feature in southern Mexico extends from Perote, State of Veracruz, on the north, to Miahuatlán, State of Oaxaca, on the south.
