Based on 10 interviews with television crime reporters, I focus in this article on journalistic routines, construction of the media agenda, and the relationship with sources. It is observed that, in the period 2011-2015, during the second term of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the feeling of insecurity increases as much as the perception of risk. At the same time, insecurity has been placed as a stable public concern, which affects journalists' morale and can progressively modify the way in which we present the information, and, therefore, construct the news.

This article studies the inclusion of Mexican corridos to the subversive repertoire of contemporary transnational mobilisations claiming for social justice. Considered a hybrid genre of subaltern popular culture for the construction of collective memory, and based on Paul Ricoeur’s narrative theory, we explore digital corridos in YouTube produced apropos of the mass disappearance of the 43 students in Ayotzinapa. Accordingly, we analyse to what extent digital appropriations of corridos create forms of cultural agency, providing alternative memories to official discourses.

There are multiple methodologies of care and psychosocial support to the victims of various types of violence, including armed conflict. Methodologies that recognize suffering and pain in particular socioeconomic contexts that have experienced armed confrontations (Baró 1990). In the case of Latin American countries, where war and internal conflict have prevailed, different forms of care have been formulated and developed at the individual or collective level, both in institutions and in social organizations, namely processes related to art and culture, as well as the health-related techniques, in line with so-called alternative or integrative techniques. These methodologies affect the emotional repair, the reconstruction of the life project. In the same way, they contribute to the recovery of self-confidence, the reconstruction of social relations. The article will develop some general elements based on three central questions and ends with the dissemination of the experience for undergraduate and graduate students of the University of Coimbra (Portugal) that have some kind of relation with the attention and accompaniment of victims of diverse types of violence and are interested in the Colombian case.

A more than 60 years armed conflict in Colombian has caused deep social, economic and cultural consequences; however, the most affected are the victims, since they have had to flee from communities destroyed by war and to arrive to new settlements where distrust, lack of solidarity and stigmatization prevail. After the peace agreement signature, and its countersignature, arises the integral reparation challenge for the country and for Social Workers professional performance it is important with the purpose of reestablishing victims violated rights; however, this depends on perceiving the victims more as rights subjects and not as simple services receivers. In this context the article reflections on Social Workers role toward the victims and the need to overcome assistance actions and favor citizenship exercise from a rights paradigm, with the purpose of overcoming conditions that reproduce different kinds of violence and jeopardize social development in the post – conflict.

Occidental society has established a capitalist model of overconsumption. In the public sphere, this policy has changed the landscape of big cities, with very few green or recreation areas, where citizens can live without having to consume. In response, some neighbourhood communities have created new spaces. In Madrid, Spain, there are two initiatives in the neighbourhoods of La Latina (Campo de Cebada) and Lavapiés (Ésta es una plaza). Within a Project of Innovation and Improvement of Teaching Quality, we have discussed these initiatives with university students from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. The goal is to know the artivism as a tool of political transformation and to establish creative and collaborative networks for better academic and personal development.

To this end, the total universe of job offers (120) for social work professionals in the one region of Spain (Murcia) and one year (2016) has been studied. The data collection was done through a validated protocol that allowed the systematic collection of 27 dimensions. Their results were analyzed through a focus group of experts through a report and script of 11 categories of analysis. The interaction between the model of political community based on the nation-state and human mobility at the international level has revealed the conflict surrounding access to rights, the process of globalization, the conceptualization of citizenship, and migration processes in Europe. Considering this debate, the objective of this article is the study of collective action done by associations of migrant and refugee people in Comunidad de Madrid as political and social subjects, providing information on how this conflict is translated in the narratives originated from the different organizations. The results represent a challenge to the conception of the nation-state model as the nucleus of analysis of sociopolitical life, and emphasize the importance of the transnational dimension as an axis in explaining the positions and collective action of the different organizations.

This paper analyses the migration process of a group of Latin American women to Salamanca (Spain) from the socio-cultural consideration. Through qualitative interviewing and case study, the research team explored from a gender perspective their migration and adaptation processes: motivations for emigration, the previous expectations, difficulties in the process, as well as the recollection of the diversity of places they occupied in society, regarding to physical spaces, power, participation or communication. The results achieved show a positive perception of their transit, looking for personal and family well-being, despite of the numerous changes they had faced and the difficulties encountered.

The purpose of this article is to deepen the current situation of NEET – that is to say young people who do not study, work or training. The article will be covered from a global approach with the aim of examining the structural causes that determine this situation. Furthemore, in order to understand this approach it is important to take into account the heterogeneity of this group, the connections with the personal careers of social exclusion that take place in the early leaving of formal protection systems and the intervention that is made from the social services to prevent this situation. Only in this way it will be possible to predict which is their real situation in order to be able to design and execute programs that can close the door to inequalities and social disconnection to which NEET are exposed.
