Resumen
In Mexico, the production of energy changed when the energy sector was reformed in 2013 and a hydrocarbons law was passed in 2014. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implications of the energy reform on territorial, economic, and social conditions in El Remolino, municipality of Papantla, Veracruz. To gather data in this regard, citizens were engaged, questionnaires were answered by 40 ejido residents, and two collective interviews were held during 2015 and 2016. In El Remolino, hydrocarbon extraction has not generated significant change in reducing residents’ poverty levels; on the contrary, the dispossession of ejido lands, contamination of soil and water, abandonment of agricultural production, and social discontent continue unabated.

Resumen
This paper discusses, within a framework of transitional frustration, the process of construction that the Mexican state undertakes in the state of Tabasco. We review the challenges faced by the government bureaucracy in addressing the decomposition of the post-oil society, the expansion of anomie due to insecurity, different manifestations of violence by organized crime, and the doors the latter opens for the reproduction of disorganized crime. Thus, the delimitation of the Central-Chontalpa region allows us to comprehend how the conformation of an illegal territory and a diffuse region is supported by an underground economy. In this region the federal state has an ominous presence in the expansion of crime that gives rise to increasing actions by civil society and new forms of organization that emerge in order to face social insecurity.

Resumen
There is an extensive bibliography regarding the animistic conceptions in the Mayan area; nevertheless, there is no specific study on this topic as far as the Lacandon group is concerned. This article endeavors to offer a summary of this subject for academic purposes in which the Lacandon vital essences and their faculties are described: the soul-heart or pixan; the 􀃷or or "spirit"; the kisin ‘ok: the entity that stays in human remains. This description allows us to reflect on the absence of the organic/inorganic dichotomy in Mayan thought. We compare these features with pre-Hispanic and other contemporary Maya groups. In addition, unpublished information gathered during extensive fieldwork is discussed.

This article discusses the design and the implementation of a scale that measures the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in university educational and the generation of social exclusion derived thereof. Information was gathered through a Likerth scale applied to students at two higher education centers in Mexico and Costa Rica. The main results indicate that students value ICT as significant tools in their education; however, students who do not perform well with these technologies are often excluded. Likewise, according to the empirical evidence generated in the study, we conclude that the scale contains indexes of internal consistency and reliability such that it can be applied in measuring populations at higher educational centers.

Resumen
The purpose of this study is to understand the perspective of students at the campus of Social and Economic and Administrative Sciences and Humanities of the Autonomous University of Yucatan regarding the impact the university had on their development as citizens. Through in-depth interviews and content analysis, information was obtained from 40 students enrolled at different colleges at the campus with different levels of participation in civil society. I found that the university experience allows access to resources and experiences that promote the development of citizenship, but that formal university requirements often curb or limit this development.

Resumen
This article outlines ethnographic research conducted between 2016 and 2018, and offers an approach to what could be called homosexual identities in indigenous contexts, specifically in a secondary school located in an ejido of Ocosingo, Chiapas. It analyzes conflictive situations in the lives of three students who have come out as antsiwiniketik [women-men] in terms of their relationships with their classmates and with adults inside and outside the school. For the analysis, I review theoretical contributions and concepts such as power struggles, heteronormativity, sex gender system, gender studies, queer theory, and interculturality.

Resumen
In research on the diversity of childhood studies and those that addressed early childhood in rural contexts in particular, I examined the situation of primary schooling along the coastal area of Chiapas from the point of view of teachers and administrative staff. The data collected comes from preschools, Community Education Centers run by the National Council of Educational Development (CONAFE), and a Child Development Center (CDI). I review the results of the physical, training, legal, and care conditions of these schools and discuss these in the context of childhood schooling and the marginalization of education in rural contexts.
