Resumen
El Simposio de CIENCIA PARA EL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE, es un evento liderado por la Escuela de Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, que busca visualizar y empoderar los procesos de investigación desarrollados por estudiantes de distintas latitudes en las distintas áreas de conocimiento en las que se enmarcan los Objetivos del Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la ONU. A través de los años este evento, dada su naturaleza virtual y gratuita, se ha convertido en una plataforma abierta que impulsa el ejercicio de la investigación científica a través de la interacción y el intercambio de saberes y experiencias entre futuros profesionales y académicos en Latinoamérica, y más allá. Mediante la modalidad virtual hemos podido superar fronteras y fomentar futuras sinergias colaborativas entre participantes de diversos países en Iberoamérica. Incentivando una visión global e integral para dar respuesta a los retos actuales; así como un empoderamiento de los futuros líderes y protagonistas en procesos que permitan el desarrollo sostenible de sus comunidades.

Resumen
“Infancia y muerte” is a poem that Federico García Lorca wrote in 1929 during his stay in the United States, but which was not included in the manuscript of Poeta en Nueva York. The text, which deals with the loss of childhood, was made known in 1978 by Rafael Martínez Nadal, thanks to his edition of the unpublished handwritten manuscripts of the Spanish poet. This paper deals with an analysis of this poem, focusing on its symbols and the notion of abjection.

Resumen
Javier Hervada claimed that his master par excellence was Thomas Aquinas. The article seeks to verify to what extent this applies to the Hervadian conception of classical legal realism, which considers the just thing as the essence of right. To this end, it studies the relevance of St. Thomas both to the event of Hervada’s «enlightenment » on that realism and to the implications of that «enlightenment». In the end, it is specified in what sense we can speak of Hervada’s Thomism. In this sense, the article shows that Hervada is not an author who has analytically dedicated himself to studying the works of Aquinas, but a jurist and philosopher of law who has tuned in to his doctrine, taking it as a starting point for personal elaboration, trying to restore and develop legal realism, through didactic and systematic presentations, while also taking into account the themes of our time, such as human rights. Special use has been made of the sources in which Hervada himself speaks of his scientific work.

Resumen
Legal Realism is one of the most important branches of the Javier Hervada’s legal philosophy. Among other topics, legal realism mantains that law is, in its deeper sense, the «right thing», obtained from a objective features of a relation of justice. Legal hermeneutics also sustains a conception of law centered in concretion inside multiple contexts. There were simillarities between these theories, but there were also a clear difference: legal realism of thomist roots affirms the existente of evident precepts of natural law. Legal hermeneutics, mantains that human being exists always in a historical situation without objective foundations of metaphysical procedence.
