ABSTRACT This article considers the digital humanities as a product and symptom of the methodological transformations of the use of technologies in the research activities. The text presents the relations between the human sciences and digital humanities, establishing it under the scope of a transdisciplinar relation, interdependent to the humanities. It proposes a reflection upon how computing assists in the research practice of research and how theoretical and practical problems acquire a new perspective through computation. It highlights HDs as a new area for reflection, which opens new possibilities for teaching and research in humanities, at the same time as they cause methodological, technical, structural and organizational transformations in the field. It points out HDs as a tool for reconfiguration and potentialization of the research activity, alerting against the prejudice of facing them only as an additive to the methodologic practices already in place. It alerts for the economic and resonance implications regarding the application of the tools provided by the digital humanities. It exposes that the application of technology in the digital humanities must be accompanied by the humanistic reflection about them. It indicates the need to carry out a mapping, based on its literature and its practical-conceptual framework, so that a concrete measurement of the scope of the digital humanities can be achieved. Keywords: Digital Humanities; Digital Technologies; Digital Research Methods; Digital Research Tools; Computer Aided Research Methodology.

ABSTRACT The empirical study of emotions in Spanish travelogues and reports requires cultural knowledge as well as the use of linguistic annotation and quantitative methods. We report on an interdisciplinary project in which we perform emotion annotation on a selection of texts spanning several centuries to analyze the differences across different time slices. We show that indeed the emotional connotation changes qualitatively and quantitatively. Next to this evaluation, we sketch strategies for future automation. This scalable reading approach combines quantitative with qualitative insights and identifies developments over time that call for deeper investigation. Keywords: Análise de Emoções Emotion Analysis; Annotation; Scalable Reading; History of Cultural Encounter; Travelogues and Reports in Spanish.

ABSTRACT The article is an essay and is organised in three parts. First of all, I undertake an analysis on the digital historicity term. After that, I present some technical definitions that characterizing the digital, as well as I debate on academic and technological experiences that, in the 1940s and 1950s, used this term to refer to processes of electronic data systematization. In the third part of this essay, I reflect on some of the contemporary directions of the digital, problematizing the conformations of the dark web. Keywords: Digital; Digital Humanities; Contemporary Directions.

ABSTRACT This article identifies and describes data on the dynamics of collective and collaborative participation in the production of information about Brazilian museums on Wikipedia. Using as sample the museums administered directly by the Brazilian Institute of Museums (Ibram), the data gathering was carried out articles using the XTools software. In this way, the present article seeks to demonstrate the potential of Wikipedia as a source of research, especially in what concerns the production of information about Brazilian museums on the Internet. The results identify that 20 museums have a page on Wikipedia, having been edited by a total of 555 users who have made a total of 1.108 editions on the pages. It identifies great inequality in the dynamics of information production in the pages and an expressive network of publishers performing curatorial actions. Keywords: Wikipedia; Brazilian Museums; Source of Information; Digital Humanities; Ibram.

ABSTRACT This paper addresses the paradoxical construction condition of the Medical Physics (MP) field in Brazil through an analysis of scientific production. Therefore, the objective is to understand the state of art of Brazilian MP and the methodology was based on webscrapping and quantitative and qualitative analysis tools to collect and analyze data in public and open database that are reference in dissemination and technoscientific communication. The results point to the fact that the areas of medicine and physics produced in their overlap a field whose knowledge does not necessarily contribute to the consolidation of a supposed field or area independent of MP.Keywords: Medical Physics; Higher Education; Research Groups, Bibliometrics.

ABSTRACT This study analyzes manifestations of sexism shared through blog posts Academic Men Explain Things to Me. Describes the blog and presents the concept of information sharing as a specific type of informational practice performed on digital platforms. It correlates the concepts of epistemologies of the South to the conception of digital humanities, information sharing, having as interpretive reference the epistemological contributions coming from the South. The postings with the greatest number of interactions were described and analyzed, and the following categories of mansplaining were proposed: Physical and intellectual disability (II), Xenophobia (XE), Racism (RA), Manifestation of aggression (MA), Embarrassment (CO), Stigmatization (ES), Institutional constraint (CI) and Discourse appropriation (AD). It conceptualizes such categories and identifies them quantita-qualitatively through the presentation of the results of the analyzes of the last 176 posts. Identifies the predominance of the category Physical and intellectual disability in posts. It concludes that the symbolic violence identified in the blog posts are the product of sexist manifestations of different natures. Keywords: Mansplaining; Sexism; Information Sharing; Digital Humanities; Epistemologies of the South.

ABSTRACT The article discusses the use of social media in the creation of sense directed to knowledge production based on political polarization in the United Kingdom and Brazil. It analyzed the content of the manifestations presented in Twitter hashtags on the Brexit and the impeachment of 2016. In the social media, the study evidences polarized, but distinct behaviors: in the United Kingdom the effects of the decision stand out and, in Brazil, the positioning involved in the issue. It is concluded that in these contexts of polarization, social media intensify the debate and diversity of opinions favorable to the democratic process and the production of knowledge stimulated by ambiguity. Keywords:Digital Social Media. ABSTRACT This paper discusses the importance of preserving and keeping publicly available collections of government communication on official websites, as privileged spaces for dissemination and research on information of public interest in democracies. As a way of highlighting the theme, this article observes the government communication available on the official website of the Brazil presidency, produced during the government of former President Michel Temer (2016-2018) and former President Dilma Rousseff (2010-2016) in order to discuss the impacts of preservation and erasure of government communication on the political memory of the country. The approach is linked to the Digital Democracy and the theoretical perspectives of the Digital Humanities, specially about registration, erasure and political memory on the internet. Keywords: Public Communication; Government Communication; Digital Democracy; Official Websites; Political Memory.
