Resumen
Introduction: The thought of Fidel Castro in relation to the application and generalization of the scientific results is wide and profound. Thesis from his thought about science, its development and contribution to society, and in a particular way his ideas about the application and generalization of the scientific results and the ethic associated to these processes, are identified. Objective: To expose some ideas of Fidel in relation to the application and generalization of the scientific results. Methods: A bibliographic systematic revision; it reached as a starting point the speech in the Auditorium of the Academy of Sciences in 1960, and the speeches in the different editions of the Science and Technique Forums. In the study of the speeches the direct analysis of the content was applied. Development: The application and generalization of the scientific results captured space in the oratory of Fidel Castro. His discourse persisted to persuade the auditorium to assume a position, attitude or action of political type, cither in the general framework of the society, or in the stretched framework of an institution. This persuasive strength in the treatment of a scientific and social interest topic, as it is the generalization of the scientific results joined to an ethical behavior, permitted us to structure the main thesis derived from the study of the thought of Fidel about the application and generalization of scientific results. Conclusions: Thesis derived from the study of Fidel¢s thought about the application and generalizations of the scientific results were identified.

Resumen
This article analyzes the impact of Hungary’s cooperation in science and technology with the European Union, comparing it with the case of Mexico in North America. Both countries have had the expectation of benefitting from a scientific and technological spillover and flow because of belonging to a region with a higher degree of development. This has not happened –or at least not fully– and this article tries to identify the obstacles. Even though Hungary receives a certain amount of resources from the EU, science and technology have actually regressed there. The author concludes that, among other elements, this is due to internal factors in each country, mistakes and vacuums in economic and educational policy, as well as migration of qualified personnel.

Resumen
Public relations strategies based on dramatization are key tools to achieving success in electoral campaigns. Press offices play a fundamental role as theatre directors, turning their leaders into great actors. What at first glance would look like a theatrical performance is, more than ever, what happened in the US presidential elections. Newspapers are intensifying the use of visual elements to reinforce the news. This research paper analyses 2,463 articles from eight digital newspapers in four countries to learn about the impact of visuals and dramatization on the European press. It seems paradoxical that the progressive newspapers devoted more articles to Trump than the conservative newspapers. A lack of time on the part of the journalists? What is certain is that the visuals prepared by Trump’s press office and his perfectly designed public appearances, were reproduced by the media. The study shows that the progressive newspapers analysed have contributed to giving Trump greater visibility in Europe.

Resumen
The aim of this article is to argue and explain the dislocation of the human rights discourse with regard to migrant children detained in Mexico. First, it looks theoretically at the dislocation of the human rights discourse regarding migrants in general. Second, it analyzes the construction of the discourse of migrant children’s human rights starting from three premises: 1) children have rights and need states to adopt special measures for their protection due to their age; 2) all children have all rights; and, 3) children can only be detained as an absolutely exceptional measure of last resort. Third, the author delves into the normative and practical dislocation of the discourse about migrant children’s human rights in Mexico. And fourth, she proposes three possible alternatives (legal, practical, and political) for articulating the discourse of migrant children’s human rights to protect them and defend their rights.

Establishment Women vs. “The Squad”: Styles of Women’s Political Representation in the U.S. Congress
Cruz Lera, Estefanía

Resumen
In 2019, a record number of women were members of the U.S. Congress. In addition to their in-creased participation, these congresswomen are more ethnically, racially, culturally, and class diverse. Two highly contrasting profiles show up in this political universe: the Establishment women led by Nancy Pelosi and the rebellious “Squad,” headed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. This article analyzes social networks, the press, and their legislative performance to contrast both styles of political representation. The author’s main finding is that the Squad and Establis-hment representatives do not differ in terms of presenting bills, voting, and funding sources; the main differences are found in their public discourse, their ideological platform, and their leader-ship styles.

Resumen
The main purpose of this article is to estimate the pace and extent of the manufacturing wage gap between Mexican and U.S. production and nonsupervisory workers. It also evaluates a main te-net of international trade, putting to the test the factor price equalization (FPE) theorem for the pre-NAFTA (North America Free Trade Agreement) period of 1987-1994 and two NAFTA sub-peri-ods, 1995-2006 and 2007-2013. According to the aforementioned theorem, trade openness should render wages in both countries comparable and eventually convergent. The estimation technique used to test this theorem relies on an error correction model in a time series setting, using monthly data. The introduction of a real exchange rate as an exogenous variable becomes relevant. The author finds a substantial wage gap between production workers in the two countries, as conver-gence has not taken place. As a result, the FPE theorem is not valid for the present case. The wage gap between production workers continues to be substantial, with a tendency to expand.

Resumen
Necropower, defined as that which is capable of producing and administering death, has its highest First-World expression in the United States and is characterized by facilitating the use of technologies for death to nativist groups, neo-Nazis, supremacists, and groups who are anti-immigrant, anti-abortion, and pro-arms sales, among others. This article looks at the case of the Afro-American community in the United States to show how the country, led by Donald Trump, maintains a necropower that is only distinguished from post-colonial states in its use of law to create spaces for death instead of using legal exceptions. The author also underlines the role of the #BlackLivesMatter movement as a path for resistance in favor of life.
