Resumen
In recent years, systems of universal basic income and systems of minimum income have been at the centre of public debate. This article discusses the role that these policies could play in the face of the challenges of the future, such as the digital revolution and globalisation, and compares both transfer systems, as well as the possible consequences of their implementation. In addition, this article collates empirical evidence in an effort to help us understand the potential effects of these policies.

Resumen
The digital advances we are currently experiencing are impacting and will continue to impact both workers and businesses in a highly heterogeneous manner. In this article, we present comparative evidence in the labour market in Spain and put forward a proposal that will allow all actors to benefit from these digital advances, focused around three axes: education, the adaptation of labour institutions and the reduction of the potential inequalities arising from this heterogeneous impact.

Resumen
Overlapping processes of very different origins, duration and intensity are transforming societies profoundly and leading one to question the foundations and suitability to the current reality of the social contract with which advanced economies have functioned in recent decades. In this introductory article from the monograph of Información Comercial Española, Revista de Economía (Spanish Trade Information, Journal of Economics) we discuss the challenges redesigning the social contract involves in the face of social changes, the compatibility between equity and economic efficiency, market competition, business sustainability, the impact on the labour market of the technological revolution, and redistribution via alternative means, such as universal basic income and minimum income.

Esta es una reseña sobre Guia de forasteros de México. Poemario sobre las ilustrísimas prostitutas de la Ciudad de México (siglo XVIII novohispano), recientemente editado por la Dra. Estela Castillo Hernández. Las décimas de este poemario retoman el modelo de la guía de forasteros, reconocida durante el Siglo de las Luces por dar a conocer la nómina de las figuras políticas de la época, aunque en este caso, muestra con humor una lista de mujeres de distintas clases que se encargaban de proporcionar servicios sexuales en la época. En esta reseña se destacan los diversos aspectos que retoma el estudio introductorio (descripción del material, filiaciones e intertextualidades), y se citan algunos de los versos que permiten dar al lector una idea clara del contenido de esta edición crítica.

On the basis of postulates by Gérard Genette, Mijaíl Bajtín and Luz Aurora Pimentel among other critics, the characterization of Fortunato Gomes da Silveira, one of the protagonists of the story “The secret cause” by Brazilian writer Machado de Assis, is analyzed as a counter-masculine model (antihero). The structure of the story, the various strategies which the narrative voice resorts to, the contrast between the time of the discourse and the time of the story as well as the prosopography (physical appearance) and ethopoeia (moral depiction) of the character, hints us in the direction to reveal the hidden reasons for his obscure instincts.
