Resumen
In 1979, writer Georges Perec published “I remember Malet and Isaac” in the French journal H-Histoire; this is a text in which he transcribes and reorders the information in the schools’ history manuals in order to contest their ideological content. In the present article, such esthetical proposal is analyzed from semiotics in order to show how Perec contraposes history to collective memory and how, by means of the transcription of the historic discourse, he evinces its architecture and at once desacralizes and interrupts its narrative in a post-war context in which writing, language and history had to be reevaluated.

Resumen
Bioethical culture has positioned as a global policy that moved from the observance of human rights in medical research and practice toward other spheres. In this movement there have been (logical-epistemic) tensions in the substantiation of declarations and law initiatives that need to be produced in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). An archeological-genealogical reading is proposed so that we can visualize the knowledge and discursive practices, as well as the devices and divisive practices implied in the dissemination of this global policy, in order to answer its call and at once, give an account of the contradictions it implies.

Resumen
The way in which some poets crossed paths in Mexican literary magazine The Plumed Horn, whose beat aesthetics gathered authors from various nationalities, with different literary styles, political, philosophical and religious affiliation is explored. By means of the analysis of some letters published in this magazine, an account is given as regards the ethics and aesthetics of a whole generation of writers. Particularly, the relation between The Double Flame, by Octavio Paz, and “Hungryalist Manifesto” by Malay Roy Choudhury is studied. Emphasis is made on both authors’ poetic expression, linked to eroticism and language transgression.

Resumen
The standpoints of Samuel Ramos (Profile of man and culture in Mexico, 1934), Octavio Paz (The labyrinth of solitude, 1950) and Roger Bartra (The cage of melancholy. Identity and metamorphosis in the Mexican character, 1987) on what they perceive and interpret as ‘the Mexican’ and the aspects that affect its development are critically described and analyzed. Such considerations, which occasionally are expressed from an external standpoint, while sometimes from an internal reality, allow glimpsing certain ideological and mythical constructions on the national, machismo, culture, the feeling of inferiority, solitude, classism, the imitation of foreign models and the participation of indigenous peoples in the construction of the country.

Resumen
Contemporary philosophy expresses a new dimension of knowledge by means of bioethics as a critical standpoint linked to situations that propitiate scientific activities and their implications in human life and the environment. The creation of an interdisciplinary field is proposed so that various perspectives converge and raise awareness on the intentional acts that come from some rationality models. The hermeneutic intervention in this sphere becomes an alternative, both epistemic and axiological, oriented to configure an essential way to locate man in the world, a relevant and indispensable dialogical way to accomplish actual existence, strengthen empathic bonds and broaden our understanding horizon as regards other beings and forms of life.

Resumen
By means of a phenomenological-hermeneutical methodology, the concepts ‘silence’ and ‘violence’ in the film The shape of water by Guillermo del Toro and in the short story ‘Cupid and Psyche’ by Apuleius are analyzed. This comparative study supports on the myth and some fairy-tales topics proposed by Vladimir Propp. Water is considered the symbolical element that allows uniting dichotomic elements: good/evil, sacred/profane, hero/villain. Finally, it is explained how in the film the neo-Platonic schema love-soul-knowledge takes a resignification as it adapts to contemporary culture, thus becomes an ethical invitation to accept differences.

Resumen
The personal vision of artist and honoris causa doctor from Universidad de Guanajuato Jesús Gallardo is presented. Inheritor of Velasco, Dr. Atl and Chávez Morado, the dissolution of the form and attenuated preponderance of color populate his landscapes and portraits. More than 70 years of career are evinced in the painter’s style, who was far from the trends of post-revolutionary art and the rupture generation, while he intended to develop his own unitary and congruent discourse. His work locates in the imaginary of contemplation and mental serenity, portraying the essential of the shapes.
