Resumen
This study reports the benefits of authentic aids on students' oral fluency. 96 surveys were applied to know whether teachers use authentic materials or not, and 31 voice recordings to identify the oral fluency level. 22 students of the third English level (CEFR-A2) were chosen randomly: 15 participants for the experimental group, and 7 for the control group. The experimental group received authentic resources while the control group received input from a textbook and abridged material. To measure the oral skill improvement, the number of words, pauses, and vocal fillers were counted considering vocabulary and accuracy. The post-tests reported significant oral fluency improvement.

Resumen
This article studies Manuel Rojas' political identity since he was a young man until his last days of life, from a biographical and literary analysis. Therefore, we can confirm that Rojas was a member of the anarchist ranks during his youth, and then in the adulthood, the writer moderated his stances taking part in the socialist party. The author's political evolution is linked to his ascent in the social stratification.

Resumen
This article analyses how the dramatic text Un Hombre (1913), by Adolfo Urzúa Rosas (1864-1937), represents a vision of the rural world that even after 100 years of the Independence, sets on scene some of the ideas and ideological principles from which the Republic of Chile was founded. Base don the above, a critical analysis of the world shown by this work is carried out, analysis that would encode the social relationships of domain expressed by dicotomies supported by the classic duality civilization and barbarism. Finally, it is concluded that Urzua's creation entails an ideario with the end of adding to the civilization progress and to the political life of the country for which bet the republican hegemonic order.

Resumen
This work proposes to read Las invitadas (1961), by Silvina Ocampo, according to the hypothesis that these stories are organized by the same concerns that encourage the author's initial and late production. It is proposed to discuss the critical consensus that defines this moment of his narrative as a stage of maturity, determined by finished stories and by a compositional logic away from the effect of transience, foolishness and dispersion of their first and last books. The stories are read as portraits of the moment in which a life twists into an eccentric becoming. The result exposes the way in which Las invitadas is located halfway between the precariousness of a story that ends in the character's idiotic trait is made and the nonsense of a fiction as a record of idiocy. These stories show an insistent concern about the nonsensical forms of rarity, ambiguity and inconclusivity.

Resumen
Los Trasplantados (1904) by Alberto Blest Gana is a novel that has not enjoyed proper attention by specialised critics. Its study is relevant in that it allows establishing the distinctive features of a key novel, though not visible enough, in the literary production of Martin Rivas' autor. The analysis of the history of the wealthy Canalejas family in the social fabric of Paris, which considers the intertextual dialogue, the commentary of the preceding critic and the operationalization of the theoretical concepts that illuminate the positions of the desire of the story, makes possible, among other aspects, to amplify the reflection on the meaning of the scenes of reading, of the mimetic desire, of the event of death and of the links with the emergence or the overcoming of the evil within the framework of the Chilean writer's novel.

Resumen
This article reports the analysis of a re-semantization and re-categorization process of the lexical pieces parche and chimba. These two words are part of parlache, which is a kind of slang in Colombia. Based on Diccionario de uso de parlache (2015), the results demonstrate that the lexical piece parche acquired new meanings as a noun, prenominal verb and it also forms different phrases. Chimba changes from noun to verb. Parasynthesis is used to create words, verbal phrases and routine formulas.
