O artigo trata da formação de uma linguagem fascista, ultradireitista ou nacional-populista, como um procedimento prévio fundamental para o estabelecimento das formas fascistas/ultradireitistas de dominação tanto nos casos dos fascismos históricos - aqueles que existiram entre os anos de 1920 e 1945 - quanto nos processos de ressurgência no tempo presente dos fascismos. Ao contrário dos reducionismos de tipo economicistas consideramos a linguagem como um fenômeno fundamental no processo de construção da dominação fascista, longe de se constituir em mera "cortina de fumaça". A linguagem fascista articula uma série de sintagmas e vocábulos que, por repetição e saturação, normalização o improvável, o inumano, o ilógico e o irracional, rebaixando o nível do debate politico e constit uindo-se em indispensável elo de união entre os indivíduos em processo de fascistização.

O artigo examina a atuação política dos jornais Folha de S. Paulo e O Globo durante a década de 1990, marcada pela eleição de governantes neoliberais no Brasil. Analisando a bibliografia especializada e os editoriais publicados pela Folha e O Globo no ano de 1994, sustento a hipótese de que os periódicos apresentaram-se como expoentes da direita neoliberal, adeptos de uma concepção particular de democracia assentada na propriedade privada e na economia de livre mercado.

O rock neofascista é um gênero musical próprio a movimentos alinhados a este ideário político, por meio do qual seus compositores e consumidores idealizam sociedades, energizam ouvintes e difundem sua causa ao redor do mundo. Sua chegada à América Latina ocorreu nos primeiros anos da década de 1980 e desde então tem se espalhado e se renovado. Os processos que levaram a isso geraram rupturas e permanências com os modelos tradicionais de fascismo e particularidades contextuais, registrados pela música cujo potencial documental é vasto. Por meio de um exame comparativo de bandas do gênero na América Latina, podemos constatar suas especificidades e propriedades.

In this paper we analyse the gender fair use of language policy and planning (LPP) of the University of Costa Rica (UCR), since it was created in 2003 to the present, relating it to proposals by other Spanish speaking institutions of higher education. With a glottopolitical perspective, we describe this LPP (Cooper, 1997) and its instrument (CIEM, 2004); we explore the execution of the LPP in administrative documents and news of the Dean Office; and we contextualize the LPP of UCR by analyzing the guidelines of non sexist use of language created by other Spanish speaker universities. Among the results, we have: this policy and its instrument neither the way they should be implemented have not been clear, with possible glottopolitical consequences, such as the rejection of the university community; the implementation of this policy is higher among the administrative documents; in addition, at the Dean documents we find linguistic strategies that coincide with some of the guidelines from other universities and do not appear at CIEM (2004), this can result as an input for UCR. We disscuse about the urge of finding mechanisms of implementation related to raise awareness among the community about the relationship of the LPP with the institutional reality and sexism in the academic world in general (Canal UCR, 2017). 

This paper provides a comparative analysis of “The Curious Impertinent”, an interpolated novel in Don Quixote (1605), and The Second Maiden’s Tragedy, a play attributed to Thomas Middleton premiered in 1611. Cervantes’s story about the stratagem contrived by a jealous husband who persuades his closest friend to test his wife’s fidelity and the pernicious consequences that ensue is rewritten in the subplot of Middleton’s work and adapted to the Jacobean political and ideological context. The play’s main storyline also mirrors the Cervantine-inspired episode: the female protagonist is equally tempted by a tyrant, but, as opposed to the seduced wife, she resists stoically and gives up her life to prevent an otherwise unavoidable rape. Critics of both works are divided as to whether they uphold the dominant construction of women as ‘naturally’ inferior to men, both being permeated by a blatantly misogynistic language that perpetuates the ‘weaker vessels’ ideology. The analysis developed in this paper aims to prove that, even though each text was produced in a different social context –and hence has different political motivations–, both are self-subversive, as they undermine the dominant ideology of femininity and the consequent power hierarchy, in both the private and the public spheres.
