The research is based on an indigenous community in the city of Cotacachi, province of Imbabura (Ecuador). In this context, members of the community applied the punishment or indigenous justice on a woman mother of four children for adultery. The main objective of this study is to analyze the case of the trial applied of a Kichwa woman in the socio-cultural context of indigenous justice. This is a qualitative research, within the framework of this, it is considered a case study. The techniques used were in-depth interviews with the individuals involved in the community punishment and the direct observation of the execution. During the the ritual of indigenous punishment, which has the Sumak Warmi (woman) as the victim, it was found that there are five phases established by the indigenous justice traditions of the Kichwa people of Cotacachi: the complaint and petition for a solution before the community council (willachina); the investigation of the case (tapuykuna); the verifi cation of proofs (rikuypacha) of the infi delity of the woman; the opportunity for those involved to repent before the sanction is applied to the woman (chimpapurana); the determination of the sanction (kishpichina). It is concluded in this case study that exercising indigenous justice in Cotacachi is a social drama still understood as lynching, whose application parallels barbarism and atrocity where the universal human rights are undermined and especially of women.

The purpose of this paper was to establish the incidence of the Regulation of the National Leveling and Admission System in access to public higher education in Ecuador during the year 2017. The study is the result of the legal problems of the admission process to access a quota in the public universities of Ecuador. To this end, a critical legal analysis was carried out with a constitutional approach to the public policy of access to higher education in equal conditions and opportunities, given that the right to education is guaranteed by the Constitution and International Human Rights Instruments as a right of universal access, permanence, mobility and income to serve the individual and corporate interests of citizens. The information to develop this work will be obtained through the analysis of the Regulations of the National Leveling and Admission System.

Adolescent pregnancy is an important problem of concern in today’s society, which mainly affects the young population between the ages of 15 to 19 years. Their study has been approached from different perspectives, both at the level of health, education, social, psychological and economic area; especially because of the high fertility rates that it has presented in Latin America and the Caribbean. The aim of the present work is to describe the levels of social support in a group of 25 pregnant adolescents that make up the study sample, temporarily orienting the items to the period prior to their gestation. For this, the MOS social support questionnaire was used, which evaluates this category with the emotional, instrumental, affective and leisure activities subscales; which has been validated through different studies. The results demonstrate the impact of teenage pregnancy on student desertion, and the level of emotional support minimal that an important group of the sample had. It is concluded that adolescent pregnancy generates desertion from the educational system and that the lack of emotional support during adolescence puts adolescents at risk in situations of stress.

As part of human sciences, Law has appealed to language to determine the set of standards and principles that govern social structures. However, this science is not limited to standards, but to build around them, a theoretical-philosophical system able to explain why these societies create, apply and interpret their legal practices known as Metalanguage. Each branch of law has its own Metalanguage, including Conflict Law. Leaving aside Pure Theory of Law by Kelsen approach, we will explain through method of complexity of Edgar Morin, the theoretical foundation of legislative diversity as the supposed creator of Conflict Law, using the Principles of Linguistics by Ferdinard de Saussure and the Metalanguage, through the postulates of the Theory of the Hierarchy of the Languages by Juan Capella, and the Communicative Rationality by Jürgen Habermas.

The objective of the article is to evaluate the feasibility of Chess as a recreational and alternative game that can be carried out in Physical Education classes. This is a bibliographic review in which the idea of the teacher who admits and uses the classroom as an installation in case of unfavorable climatic stages, caused by high levels of radiation is favored; as well as periods of heavy rains, in which it is almost impossible to work in this area. The results show new aspects to consider in the development of physical education classes where they must find alternatives in preventing diseases caused by exposure to unfavorable weather that often occurs in the province of Pichincha, Ecuador. It is concluded that managers and staff of the educational system should consider chess in the curriculum of Physical Education, favoring the reduction of diseases that can be avoided and that has a high personnel and material costs, developing the child in the affective, cognitive and social spheres; which can then be used in other subjects.
