Resumen
Based on an analysis of six texts from three anthologies of Guatemalan short stories, I endeavor to understand some of the representative features of the poetics of 20th and 21st century writers in relation to the concerns they reveal, in keeping with the times in which they were written. In this sense, I also try to encourage dialogue between the diachronic vision of the first anthology with the regionalism of the second, while recognizing the newest writers of the third anthology.

Resumen
This paper aims to expose and analyze how LGBT students in three public universities in Chiapas, Mexico, are carrying out forms of resistance in response to manifestations of violence and discrimination. The research was based on a qualitative methodology and analyzed through a grounded-theory strategy. We found that LGBT students are not passive victims of discrimination, but rather resist in various ways, making the university a space in dispute over heteropatriarchal norms.

Resumen
This article analyzes how cultural studies, a field that claims to be interested in all cultural expressions, has partially dealt with artistic creative processes. We start by reviewing the relationship between both fields, and then examine the fields separately, highlighting the aspects that have hindered a possible fruitful relationship: Within cultural studies, we note the presence of disciplinary and methodological issues; within the artistic field, we see an emphasis on restricting almost all external influence to its norms. Acknowledging these situations has constructive intentions: by overcoming misunderstandings, it is much more likely that the closeness of the social sciences to creative processes and to the production of new and diverse knowledge could increase.

Resumen
Communication perspective and the communicative practice of an educational organization, we used a method of Differentiated Semantic Scales on a sample, using criteria defined by the Institute of Socio-Economy of Companies and Organizations (ISEOR) in its intervention model to find hidden costs. We conclude by analyzing the importance of having good communication practices in organizations, after finding discrepancies between what is stated in the perspective and the actual practice of responsible communication in the organization under study herein.

Resumen
This paper presents various epistemological and methodological implications associated with research in dangerous regions in Mexico. Anthropological and sociological analysis methodologies were used to study violence as an object of knowledge, with new research routes and new ethnographic and information analysis strategies. These routes and strategies have been incorporated from research experiences in various dangerous territories in Mexico. This study concludes that dangerous contexts have led researchers to take new epistemological and methodological routes to address phenomena derived from criminal violence, conceptually understood within the framework of a new war between drug cartels and the state.

Resumen
This article examines the idea of celebrity in the context of digital society. To do so, the notion of fame is reviewed from a philosophical and historical perspective. In addition, the circumstances of fame in the contemporary era are analyzed through three main elements: social networks, economic benefit, and art. This study concludes by highlighting the need to conceptualize a heterogeneous fame, which does not depend simply on the mere qualitative value of the actions performed but also on numerical and digital aspects (often intertwined).

Resumen
This essay explores the experiences of Tsotsil-speaking migrants from Chamula, Chiapas, who returned to their communities following the complicated hardships they experienced as undocumented migrants in the United States. It recounts the daring acts they had to undertake to find work during an economic crisis that began in the summer of 2006, the challenges they had to face, first with money-lenders who financed their trips, and their experiences with a network of migrant smugglers that extends from their home communities to their destination in the U.S. Migrants described the difficulties they encountered trying to reestablish and find work in their home communities. The research methodology consisted of in-depth interviews based on a semi-structured questionnaire as well as participant observation.

The objective of this research was to identify the elements of the biocultural heritage of the Ch’ol people of Tacotalpa, Tabasco. Structured interviews, participant observation, and open dialogues were carried out. The most valued natural resources are landscapes, water, cornfields, plants, and animals. The most important cultural aspects are their values, traditions and customs, and their indigenous language. The most popular socio-cultural practices are mayordomía [a type of cultural stewardship], healing rituals, petitioning for rain, and blessing of seeds. The Ch’oles of Tacotalpa conserve the elements of their biocultural heritage.

Resumen
This text explores how the various meanings of cultural heritage are debated and agreed upon, based on reviewing the archaeological remains of Teotihuacan, México. With a qualitative approach, based on observation and interviews, we found empirical evidence that, despite their exclusion from being named cultural heritage sites, the inhabitants of San Martín de las Pirámides and San Juan Teotihuacan have re-signified the values of the archaeological zone and incorporated some of those aspects as an element of their social and cultural identity. The Archaeological Zone of Teotihuacan does not mean or represent the same thing for everyone, that is, for external agents or for the communities around it. We concluded that the construction of community identity makes use of certain elements that are integrated into the narrative that legitimize it. One of the uses of cultural heritage is the affirmation and legitimation of identity.
