Resumen
Pleurotus ostreatus is a saprophytic fungus that grows mainly on living or dead lignocellulosic substrates, poor in nutrients and with low levels of minerals and vitamins. The propagation of this organism requires lignocelullosic substrates. This fungus is edible with important functional properties. Because the population of trees located in the gardens of the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas generates a considerable amount of organic waste, these can be used as raw material for the cultivation of fungi. Two cultures of the mushrooms were carried out in different substrates, the first from leaves of benjamina (Ficus benjamina) and the second was a combination of fig leaves (Ficus carica) and capulín (Prunus serotine). The edible mushrooms obtained from the cultures were dehydrated by convection of hot air at 50 ° C for 24 hours, then ground and stored for disposal in the integration of edible paste formulations. This food has become a staple food in the home because of the variety in processing and consumption, however, its protein content can be low and of poor quality. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate other sources of protein of better quality without altering eating habits or organoleptic characteristics. In this work we studied the nutritional composition and consumer acceptance that results with the addition of mushroom flour in the production of fettuccine pasta. Addition levels were 10% and 20% mushroom meal (HS), the chemical composition (crude protein, carbohydrates, fiber, fat and ash) of both formulations was analyzed based on the AOAC (2000). The results indicated a considerable increase in the percentage compositions of fiber and protein when 20% HS was added to the fettuccine type pasta formulation with respect to the reported sample without the addition of the mushrooms. In addition, the levels of taste perceived by the sensory judges, for the attributes of smell and taste, were also high when 20% HS was incorporated with respect to the fettuccine control paste. This proposal can be considered useful for the preservation of mushrooms, since when dehydrated, despite the low yields, it can become an apt and versatile condiment, because it increases the nutritional components and improves the sensory properties of this type of food, without demeriting the sustainable use of waste from plants in university gardens.

Resumen
This paper focuses on the duality of female characters in two texts written by José Revueltas, an acclaimed Mexican writer devoted to denounce politics and social structures. The first story is El apando, a short novel, the second is “Dormir en tierra” a short story. First I will provide an overview about how women evolve in the last manuscripts and what view are about them from the masculine eye and the female eye. That is to say, the way men and women are seen, will depend on their role: mother, life partner, prostitute, lesbian, worker, worker trafficker. The femininity, in Revueltas writings is not idealized as we were taught, thus motherhood is not something to be glorified, and the prostitute’s role is not judged or demonized either. In this cases, women characters will present nuances to which are not accustomed to see and read. Especially, this paper will examine how mother and prostitute coexist despite the fact that, in the Mexican culture, they are not commonly found mixed in the same situation. Until now it seems impossible that a woman can be both, we are used that the maternal figure should not be presented with sexual charge in the same manner that a prostitute cannot exercise the rights of mother. Finally, we will see how the grotesque aesthetics of both Revueltas’ writings encompass not only the woman, whether mother, prostitute or the two of them, but also the rest of the characters as well.

This document analyzes, from the study of transnationalism, the mechanisms and strategies implemented by home towns associations to maintain social, religious, political, family and economic relations between migrant communities and societies of origin: takes as a case study the Transnational Home town association San José. The analysis of this organizations shows how relationships and links between family and community are expanding, including organizational strategies and leadership that lead to social infrastructure projects and community services. This reflects the formation and operation of a solid social capital, which procedurally defines the identities of the migrant subject with bases to the intervention in the place of origin; Agua Verde, Sinaloa. As a methodological strategy, a qualitative approach was implemented through the documentary review, taking as an analytical axis the transnationalism, social capital and habitus. Likewise, personal interviews were used in this migrant community to document the links and identity recognition of the migrants.

Resumen
During the execution of engineering Works, it is common that the soil that one wishes to use does not meet the quality criteria that the corresponding regulations require to guarantee the structural stability of the structures. For those cases in which the value of the soil plasticity index exceeds the maximum allowed, the chemical stabilization has shown the best results. In this research, a comparative analysis of the performance of calcium oxide (CaO) or quicklime, and sodium chloride (NaCl) or salt, as stabilizing agents. These chemical agents were added in different proportions to the soil under study. The variations of the liquid limit, plastic limit, and the plasticity index were monitored. The results showed, contrary to what is traditionally expected, that for the case of the soil under study the best stabilizing agent is sodium chloride, because not only is it more effective in reducing the plasticity index, but also is cheaper than the quicklime.

Resumen
In Mario Vargas Llosa’s novels appear some characters as journalist. Sometimes they are just part of the environment, but at times they are just an important role in his work’s development, for example, in Conversación en la Catedral (1969), Pantaleón y las visitadoras (1973), La tía Julia y el escribidor (1977) and La guerra del fin del mundo (1981), the perception of these novels does not necessarily converge with what Vargas Llosa thinks about them, since the novel transfigure the events and includes points of view which are not those of the author, who is interested on the verisimilitude of the his stories. These pages explore the journalists as characters, as well as journalism in press and on radio, in some Peruvian Bobel Prize’s novels.

Resumen
This research project was focused on the conception of Information and Communication Technologies as a mediation tool in reading and cultural habits of B.A. students of two campuses of the University of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico: The University Center of Economic and Management Sciences (CUCEA) and The University Center of the South Coast (CUCOSTASUR), both of them offer the B.A. in Management.
The objective is analyzing the role of information and communication technologies as tools that could give an advantage about the reading exercise among higher education students, it is thought that reading habits make possible the increasing of their cultural, human and social capital, and, as a consequence they could face professional challenges successfully. The methodological approach used in this research was quantitative; the research problem was explained through data obtained by applying a questionnaire to a sample of 120 students of a total population of 172 students of that Bachelor in Arts.
The results show that most of the students read with frequency but their reading is not related to the B.A. they are studying, also they normally read in printed aids because of the reading habit generated around them, however, derived of globalization process students have access to information and communication technologies and even though its use for reading (mostly academic readings) is low, being in contact with this type of technology, possessing in a personalize way one or more device with Internet access and especially its use in classrooms with academic purposes, could generate the reading habit through them and, as a consequence, increasing the level of reading skills in students.

Resumen
This paper presents the results of a series of tests for geometric and mechanical characterization of concrete block (from 8 local factories) and cement mortar used in masonry in the region of Tuxtla Gutierrez. The laboratory tests were performed according to standards and protocols of Mexican organisms. The results of the analyzed samples show that the height of the blocks is very variable and differs from the standard values while the other dimensions and wall thicknesses comply with the regulations. The compressive strength of the mortar specimens is good (4 times higher than required). The total water absorption of the blocks is greater than the maximum allowed (12%) in half of cases tested, but the volumetric weight does not reach, in any case, the minimum one required (1700 kg/m³). The compression strength of individual pieces and block piles (manmade with type I mortar) is much lower than that required in the regulations (60 kg/cm² and 50 kg/cm² respectively). The quality and poor strength shown by the tests carried out warn of the need for regulation and local control of the block manufacturing process.
